Well, it's the weekend...

What's up this weekend?

DD1 is really sick. She feels horrible. Bad sore throat, headache, generally feeling awful. She had a fever last night that I had to alternate Motrin/Tylenol, but it's seems to have passed already. One of my friends told me that her symptoms sound exactly like her daughter when she had the flu recently. Great. None of us got our flu shots, except for DH, which is totally opposite of what normally happens. I'm waiting for the pedi to open at 8am so I can get her seen today. I want them to test for strep and flu. Neither one of us slept all night. She feels so awful that she couldn't sleep. We ended up coming downstairs at like midnight and I let her lay on the couch and watch TV. I fell asleep for maybe 20 minutes and then was awakened by DS. Gave him a bottle and he went right back down. Then he was up again at around 3:30. Gave him a bottle and he only drank maybe an ounce and went back to sleep, but he slept until 7am which is a new record. He's usually up at 5am. (He's currently in his jumperoo, which is his most favorite thing ever.) Of course, I haven't slept at all. I tried, but I couldn't sleep.

Yikes. So sorry jwinct. If it's any consolation, I've heard that the flu that's circulating this year is not as severe as in previous years and is shorter. But hopefully that's not what she has anyway. DS1 just had strep and it was a rough go for almost a week. Hope she feels better and you both get some rest.

We got home from the impromptu get together with my family about 9:30 last night. DS2 slept until 6:30 and DS1 slept till his usual 7. We've already eaten breakfast and I'm about to shower. It's supposed to be super nice this weekend, so I'm motivated to get all the things done. H's niece is coming to visit and we're going to grill burgers for dinner.

I'm kinda stressing. DD2 was up hysterical at 930, 12, 2, 230, 3, and 330. Then up happy and blowing raspberries at 6 and 7. I fed her at the 12 and 2 wake ups, but she didn't chug or anything and was up more after. I had given her Tylenol at 8 before bed because she had had a similar night the night before, and I was questioning teething. She falls asleep great on her own which I know is good for sleep.
I'm worried its an effect from zoloft. She seemed so uncomfortable last night. And many of the last few nights actually. Ugh.

No big plans for the long weekend for us. DD's gymnastics class isn't running but her friend invited her to her gymnastics class since it's "bring a friend" day. We need to go to our rental property and swap a light fixture in the kitchen.

Planning on taking the kids to the pool at some point.

Last night Mr. P and did a divide and conquer. I had big P in the bedroom and he had little P in the living room. Big P's sinus infection caused the drip on the back of her throat and kept making her cough non-stop even after I gave her the cough medicine. She went to sleep really well sometime after 130 am. So I got to sleep straight until about 730.

Mr. P said little P was up almost every hour last night and he switched to the larger bottle because she was drinking so much. He's went to bed and I took over.

I am waiting for family to arrive for DS1's birthday party. I'm still in PJs and haven't brushed my teeth yet, even though I've been up with the kids since 6:30, but I've had 2 cups of coffee!

I need to remember to give DS2 Tylenol tonight to see if it settles him. Unless he stops crying and biting his hands, then I will hold out.

We've also reached the point in our house where DS1 asks "Why?" To everything. Soooo much fun.

I want to go exploring later today. I may work on my blog a bit and I want to start the Curly Girl method the moms at MOPS told me about Wednesday. I'm nervous about it. I am also really excited the festivities for our towns festival next week are starting with a kick off block party tonight. I can't wait for the armadillo races next weekend.

I had to fast for my blood drAw so I did it this morning. 8 vials of blood. If I wasn't anemic before, I am now.
Babe was up 12 3:30 5:30. Ugh. It's begun. He's so happy when he wakes. Making noise and talking. I don't get it.

We moved DD into her crib last night. She slept through the night. DH said he couldnt sleep because he was listening for her. Dude, enjoy your straight sleep.
DS of course doesn't sleep worth shit.

Grocery shopping today. And if the weather cooperates tomorrow DS has swimming and we're going to my parents' for dinner.

@sansibel21 have you read that Zoloft causes sleep issues in breastfed babies? I also wouldn't be too quick to blame the meds right now. All these babies are going through the 4th wonder week/leap or that lovely 4 month sleep regression. Mine was waking up once a night. Going down at 7, up at 2, and then I was waking her to go to school at 7. Now she is up every 2.5 hours. I remember dealing with the same thing with #1.

Either way solidarity hugs. I'm so tired as well.

jwinct hope DD feels better!!

I have been up since 5 cleaning and setting up for the birthday party. DS went with MH for a haircut and to pick up the food, and DD is home with me. She has mastered rolling from back to belly and loves being on her belly. After 5 minutes she gets fed up but forgets to flip back over and then gets all mad. Like gf, just roll back to your back! People should be here around 12, and I only have the playroom left to clean. I am usually running around until the last second, but I think I might get everything together early for once🙌🏻

DD tested positive for the flu. She's so miserable. By the time we got to the pedi, her temp was back up to 101.5. I had just taken it an hour before that and it was only 99.2. I'm heading out to buy some juice for her because I know she's tired of water. She's quarantined in her bedroom and I set up a TV tray and put her laptop on it so that she can watch videos. I really hope she is able to get some sleep.

I am also looking forward to the days when my kids are old enough that I can stick them in their room with entertainment and leave them alone.

@kitchen even if you gain a lb it's more likely water weight due to salt than actual weight. If I'm bad I try to wait a few days before weighing so I don't upset myself. My weigh in for BBM was the day after my steak dinner on Valentine's Day and I had gained weight. I weighed myself this am and am 3lbs lighter than I was on Wednesday.

Lazy day over here. DH let me sleep in til 9am and it was amazing. He now wrangled all 3 kiddos and took them to CFA to pick us up some lunch. After lunch the boys will nap so QT with the baby is in order. I have to run to the grocery store at some point. I am so happy to have nothing that's an urgent to-do today.

My BFF asked me this morning if I would go with her and her two kiddos (9 and 5) yo Disney World. Not sure when but sometime this year. Her SO can't go so she has a feee adult ticket and free lodging so all I would need is to buy DS1 a ticket and then food. It's for 5 days though. Not sure if DH would be cool to hold down the fort with the younger 2 kids for that long. I would love to take DS2 who would presumably be 3 yrs old when we go but I worry he may still be just a tad too young, especially since all the other kids are older. It's a lot to ponder though! It would be amazing to have a mostly free trip.

O seems to be getting over her RSV finally so that's good. The three year old is being a holy terror lately though. I am not looking forward to DH being gone the next 6 days.

I was supposed to go to a wellness fair with a friend but she woke up puking. We had an exciting family morning of buying all new smoke and carbon monoxide detectors for the house.

MH took N to swimming this morning, and G and I stayed behind and snuggled. I made a Target run by myself, and I'm now washing all the 6 month clothes to switch them out tomorrow. We're going to go to the outlets later to shop and let N get some energy out. He did take a nap today which is fantastic. It's so beautiful outside; it will be good for all of us to get some fresh air.

My Timehop reminded me that I got my BFP for G a year ago today. I can't believe how quickly time has flown.

GO! N was just over two when we went and loved it. Especially since so much of it will already be paid for.

DD is down and out with a tummy bug:( She is newly potty trained and terrified of having an accident so she spent much of her day on the toilet. She has also slept a ton, thank goodness. Hoping she's on the mend tomorrow.

DS2 and I spent the day shopping. Took my mother's ring in to get my birthstone replaced with his. I figure if we have a 4th kid, I'll get a new ring but for now I'll just have my kids' birthstones. Then more consignment shopping, lunch, and Target.

Tomorrow's activities will depend on everyone's health. Hoping to get outside and enjoy the weather.

We went out to dinner with some family tonight. I was nervous, but overall it went really well. DD2 was a little fussy, but DD1 was sooo well behaved. I'm glad we went. I hope we don't have another night like last night. I was just staying up to get past her first 45-60 minute wake up. I think we're in the clear for that one. Hope everyone gets good sleep!!

Hit a breaking point last night. DS was so fussy and completely drained both boobs. Got one of those little ready made formula bottles and gave both to DH and went to sleep. DH said he chugged most of it and then passed out. He slept 4 hours straight which he hasn't done in months. We're now back to every 2 hrs but at least I got one longer chunk of sleep.

While it was far from great, DS2 slept much better last night even though he is still congested. Probably because he refused to nap at all in the afternoon. Still a win! DS1 slept until almost 7 this morning, which was also amazing but might because he also has the cold.

I'm not sure where to put this. I guess I just need some advice. I don't even know. I was supposed to meet with an adviser from our local college to talk about non-profit stuff and forming my own non-profit. I decided I really don't want to start one from scratch and would like to see if one that does a walk to raise money for their local NICU would be ok with doing the same but in FL to raise money for lil P's NICU. I asked Mr. P if he wanted me to do this and he said no, but I could if I wanted to. I cried for a while. He is worried about how it will impact the family. I think it will be ok. I don't know what to do.
