sophiegrace I can try to help you out with the running. Tbh, I hate to run. I feel good after which is why I keep doing it, but during I'm just gritting my teeth like I hate this.
goldenlove3 Teething is this horrible process. I will say I thought Lillian started teething around 3 or 4 months because she was chewing her hands and pulling on her ears/hair. But, turned out not so much. She didn't get her first tooth until she was 7 months old. I'm still waiting in her 2 year molars, but she's always been on the later end of "average" for teeth.
hangry I've been having mild cramps the last several days, too. No sign of a period here. I'll be pretty pissed if it is since I went 14 months after Lillian without one. I think I read that sometimes you get them as your hormones shift around nursing and stuff. Fx that's all it is.

goldenlove3ClassyMrsA we are drooling a lake over here with constant hand (everything) chewing and face/ear/hair pulling. There are ridges that I can feel and see under her bottom gums. The Pedi brought up on Tuesday and confirmed my suspicions, but said that the first one could come out tomorrow or months from now. Once the first tooth comes out is it just non stop teething until the 2 yo molars or are there breaks in between?

I'm so glad you had fun waitwhat!! I hope you get another opportunity soon, you deserve all the adult relaxation and conversation after dealing with 2u2 all day.

It really depends on the kid. My friend's son had all of his teeth except the 2 year molars by the time he was a year old. My DS1 got his first tooth at 6 months and 3 more within the next couple of weeks and then nothing for 5 months. They do tend to come in pairs though.
sophiegrace It really does depend on the kid. Lillian would show signs/be uncomfortable for a few weeks and then be ok until the next set. So we had breaks. She got her 1st 4 sort of separately and then the rest came in pairs or even all 4 at once. And it can take a while for them to come through. I feel like her molars and canines took like a month or so once I could feel them. I've heard of kids who don't seem to mind and others who are miserable. We were inbetween.
Hi! I miss y'all. I've been the worst about being around this week. As I've mentioned before, we're moving this summer, and were thinking we'd probably list the house in late April or so. I had our realtor come out this week and she feels very strongly that we need to list in March. Basically asap. Cue panic and wine. So I've been busy the last few days, first prepping for the realtor to visit, and now tackling all the things we thought we had more time to do. Super fun with a baby (my easy one) and threenager (the not-as-easy one).
DH and I had a fun night out on Friday--we saw Jersey Boys at the theater downtown. Yesterday and tomorrow were/are dedicated to house projects; today he is flying so I may take the kids to visit my parents or aunt.
Re: teething O didn't get his first tooth until 7 months and they generally came in pairs. He has always been bothered for weeks at a time when a new tooth was comin through. At least that's what I blame multiple wakes ups at night for weeks/ months at a time and then perfect sleep. He's 2 yrs, 8 months and has only 1 2-yr molar so far.
AV and AB are also chewing nonstop on their fists, AV is drooling horribly. I usually keep a bib on her (except during naps) because even WITH the bib she goes through 4-5 clothing changes a day between drool and spit up.
Between the two of them... So. Much. Laundry.
We went to my cousins bday party last night (his father is the one who passed away last month - my moms brother). Everyone seemed to be in okay spirits until it came time to sing and everyone's attention was centered, not sure there was a dry eye in the room. The "firsts" are the hardest but we all have each other to get through it. AV and AB were getting pissed bc they wanted to sleep and it was so loud and bright and talkative in there lol. I thought for sure that would've made for a rough night but we actually had a great night!
Moms on her way over with coffee and donuts, she's the best! And we'll definitely get out for a walk with almost 60* weather.
NOT ready for teething. B didn't get his first tooth til 7-8 months so I'm holding out hope that I have awhile.
Y'all reminded me about the Bumbo so I dug it out for C this morning. B never fit well bc his legs were so chubby. She fits for now but I don't see us getting months of use out of it.
DS started to chew his hands and drool a lot right around 12 weeks and my MIL loved to tell me how my H cut his first tooth at 12 weeks old. But DS's first one didn't pop until he was 7 months. So I think it can just be a really long process. At 13 weeks D has just started to really drool and put things in her mouth. It's definitely a developmental stage as well.
My favorite thing right now is the cute little squeaks and gurgles and coos she makes when she is playing

C had been chewing his hands, drooling and playing with his ear for weeks now. I want to say it started at 12 or 13 weeks. I keep checking to see if anything is showing but I don't see anything yet.
And I'm totally jealous of those who haven't started their periods yet. I'm just finishing my third one. I'm not breast feeding though so I guess I can't complain too much.

C slept like absolute shit last night. Probably the worst it's been since we first brought him home. I think I accidently fell back asleep while he was crying at one point because I was so tired so I unintentionally made him CIO. H hardly wakes up to his own alarm so he doesn't always hear C. It was just a rough night. Of course he woke up cooing and being cute this morning.
I'm just starting to get serious anxiety about going back to work even though it's still 5 weeks away. I just can't stop my brain during the night when I'm up with C. All I think about is how my mom or MIL will get my cute, sweet baby during the day and I get the night time nightmare at night. It's not fair.
C is a hand chewer, I kept thinking she was trying to find her thumb but so far she seems to be content with her hand. I'll look for that mitt vinolove. She also likes to lift her shirt up, Babies Gone Wild-style, and gnaw on that--such a little lady.
dashook I'm loving the little noises too. Every now and then she'll 'say' something particularly loud and it's almost like it startles her that she can make such a big noise. Cracks us up 😊
Hugs goldenlove3. I've started getting anxiety as the sun goes down because I know what's coming. I hope this is just a small phase and he's back to being a champion sleeper by the time you have to head back.
Literally stopped reading the thread and immediately bought one off Amazon vinolove. Thank you so much for the recommendation!
I was just going on about pina coladas yesterday dashook!! A pitcher sounds divine. +1 to loving all her sounds.

We are picking up bbq for dinner later. I kind of want to order a drink while we are picking up, but I think just buying a 6 pack of cider is a better plan. I'm also considering Bailey's in my hot chocolate tonight.
I remember seeing that teether thing at BBB before she was born. Good to have a positive report! Maybe I'll pick one up next time I'm there.
My parents flew in this morning so just been watching them fawn over the kids. My heart melts at how much O loves them and how much they love O and E considering they are grandchildren number 7 and 8.
How exciting dashook!! Sounds like no one had any idea?! Aw!
No, none! Well, no. Back in October he asked my dad's permission in front of MH. So we knew he was going to at some point. But everyone was really surprised and she's so excited 😄😄😄
