zonagirl, trust your gut. We don't do tv at dinner, but we have somehow fallen into a pattern of cartoons in our bed with M first wakes up. It's all about balance really. And at this age if you can try and keep it some what interactive, then all the better (so if its a song show, then sing along with it).

packmomma, I yell at DS1 I think all.the.time. I find it to be a slippery slope and has definitely become a very bad habit in our relationship. M has started picking up on it definitely, where whenever he says DS1's name it's in a yell. Sigh. I agree with layloo08 that some people are probably more 'hot tempered' and quick to react than others. DH doesn't really ever raise his voice, but he has condescension down to a science, as well as interrupting to jump to conclusions. Be kind to yourself. Being a SAHM is the hardest job, especially with a toddler. Big hugs to you.

Abigail's 18 month check-up is tomorrow. I can't remember, how many shots are there, and is there a finger stick? I just want to be prepared.
I think it depends. C had 3 shots last Friday and no finger poke. My SIL's twins only had one shot. I think different peds offices have different protocols.
They told us to expect a blood draw at 2 years. Boo.

ampaints - It's not a rash, per se. I used A&D on it twice yesterday and it seems to have cleared up a good bit. I have started taking it off when I am getting a shower to see if it helps. It's just like a rough patch of skin. I don't know how to describe it. I used to be able to wear those rubber bracelets (like the livestrong ones) and earrings all the time. Since being pregnant with K, I can't wear that bracelet anymore (although maybe I could as long as I didn't wear it in water) and I can barely tolerate my earrings in for a day. :-(
Anyone with a fitness tracker... do you ever have issues with it rubbing on your skin and wearing down the skin? Thinking maybe I need to start keeping it off at night and not wearing it in the shower. I just put some aquaphor on the spots for protection.
If you are using a Fitbit, this is a pretty common issue. I recommend either taking it off in the shower, or taking it off post-shower/ wet activity (e.g. swimming), and drying it, and your skin off before placing it back on. Aquaphor's not a bad idea. I also just switch which wrist mine is on every couple of days. SaveSave
Thanks! I'm actually using a Garmin, but I will remember this!

I haven't had this problem. What tracker do you have? I have a charge hr. I did have problems with is making my wrist sore, the way it would hit my wrist bone.
Ok... Going to try and catch up since I was pretty much social media free yesterday and Sunday!
Today is work. I'm a little miffed because they took extra PTO out last week for a day that I left early, but didn't take a lunch. It's only 1/2 hour, but still.... irritating.
Then my house gets invaded by H's friends. Fun times....
i feel so rested. i think. lol. honestly i think i am a wishy washy mess the first few days of my period. it's hard to tell how i really feel. but i do know i am hungry all the time for crap food.
on that note, i brought a salad for lunch and fruits and veggies. all i want is greasy pizza or a burger dripping in fat. I would also settle for a sub from wawa.
tl;dr - me just rambling on. i have food on my mind this morning.
@janetheconquerer I can commiserate with the H thing. Mine has been really good lately, but is starting to get back into staying up late on the weekends playing video games so I'm waiting for all the issues to creep back up. Really hoping I am wrong. He usually goes a while doing really well with things and then we have like two weeks where I am ready to strangle him because the simplest things aren't being done. Freaking men.
Also, I think mine is waterproof/resistant up to a certain depth. They just say not to push the single button when it is wet.
packmomma - K just started sleeping in until 7 as well! It is amazeballs!! If she is content just sitting in her crib and playing, I'll get up and do a few quick morning things before going in. As long as she is happy, I'm not messing it up!
zonagirl - Eww... for the norovirus. Glad it didn't take out your entire house though. I've had friends talking about it sweeping through everyone and it's just miserable. I'm sorry for your loss, hope that the flight and trip are uneventful. Congrats to your cousin!! I hope that you'll be joining her on the pregnancy journey!!
@elvenqueen - I'm glad the move went well and wow to being that far along with unpacking!! I've never been very efficient in that process. Yay for being closer to friends and family! I don't know what I would do if I didn't live near family. I keep wanting to move south (like the North Carolina/Georgia area), but I wouldn't be able to do it unless family could follow.
zonagirl - Our TV is on all.the.time. I mean, I try not to turn it on first thing in the morning, but K will go for a bit and realize the TV isn't on... bring me the remote and say "uh-oh". I need it for the background noise. Sometimes K will sit and watch, other times she plays, it's a little bit of both. They don't get it at all at daycare until they are older and then it is maybe once a month for a movie. Still a very rare thing.
We bought a Step 2 Roller Coaster in July for K and it has been in the garage all this time... until yesterday. We broke it out after seeing home much K loved it at Q's party. I need to make the video smaller and post for a brief time. The excitement on her face is worth every penny!
