Right? I'm wondering if I can bring snacks in case I start to feel sick. 😷
Surely you can, right?
I am in a huge pool for our district court and if I get "randomly" picked in the next few months then I'll have to go. I wouldn't mind the time off work given how crazy it's been lately.
The bailiff said you could have water if you have a medical need. I'm thinking the saltines I bright probably would have been OK.
BUT after they sat the first 6 they called, the rest of us were dismissed. And they didn't put a time on the excuse note. Muahaha.
Pizza lunchables are giving me life lately. I may or may not be eating one at 10:30am.
Total random, but I had a bf in high school who frequently had those for his lunch. He wouldn't eat all of the cheese, so I'd eat the leftover cheese when he was finished. I mean, the cheese is the best part, who doesn't eat all the cheese?? Haha.

Monsters!
+1 - That right there is enough to justify a break up! I always felt those lunchables needed MORE cheese.
I usually take that opportunity to continuously send "Unsubscribe" or "This user has unsubscribed from group messaging" after every response someone sends. That way they are just as annoyed as I am.

(I don't think I should do that to my boss tho :x)

mkrupar Yass. I haven't craved it once though since the other night. It totally gave me horrible gas pains, followed by nasty farts, but that crunch wrap supreme was everything. #worthit

Rama, Cythe,I totally agree that she isn't handling things well, but I'm trying to see things from her point of view and have some empathy. If I slept with someone that I wasn't in a serious relationship with and found out I was pregnant, I would be worried. There are a lot of challenges with that situation. If I tell my partner and then find out that they are married, that further complicates the already crappy situation. If I perceive that the other person is trying to get out of their responsibilities, I'd be angry. Personally, I'd find a different solution, but I've heard of women who are single, pregnant, and hurt doing much worse. I don't excuse the behavior, but this is a person that is vulnerable and scared.
In terms of how she learned about his job and rank, do we know that he didn't disclose this information to her himself? Why do we assume information was gathered in a way that was inappropriate? I haven't seen the post, so if I'm missing something let me know. I just want to assume positive intent and I think it is just as likely that prior to having sex, they may have had a conversation something along the lines of: Woman: What do you do for living? Man: I'm a <RANK> in the <Branch of Armed Forces> Woman: That's cool, what type of assignment do you have? Man: I blah, blah, blah...yada, yada, yada
Y'all make valid points. I agree with the assessment that both parties are pretty messed up and could have made some different choices. I don't want this dude's family to be hurt. If this woman is lying, then she's an asshat and I would withdraw my support. I also think that as a society we're quick to accuse, mistrust, and punish women. Until I have evidence that a sister is legit in the wrong, I try to understand and offer support when I can.

You guys, it's cold out again. AND we're in a winter storm warning. No snow yet, but I'm so sad thinking about it. Outside walks were nice while they lasted. Oh well. I'm going to Zumba class tonight, so hopefully it holds off until I get home. Boo winter. Rant over.
blackmamba, I getcha, and I think we're generally saying the same thing. But I'm my being critical is from the viewpoint of knowing we're only getting one side of the story and some of that story isn't making sense to me. I get she'd be scared (who wouldn't?), but I don't just give her passes because she's the lady, either.
As for the information passing, I'm still really doubtful he'd disclose that. It's a very identifiable rank and it would be incredibly easy for someone to take advantage of him, especially when you know damn well you're doing something that's gonna get your ass in hot water. That's like saying you're the Governor. Who would invite that scandal? Unless he's a damn moron, which is also possible, though something I presume to be less likely. As a military man, though, talking about your assignment is a MAJOR no-no. You do not talk about operations, whatsoever. OPSEC is a major part of your training. It's because of this that I'm not convinced it was a casual conversation and more of an "I'm gonna find this guy" kind of situation.
But we can also agree to disagree. I don't think the woman doesn't deserve any assistance, because she absolutely does, I just don't think she's without some deserved suspicion, based on the information that she provided.

I loathe snow. We're supposed to get some tonight/tomorrow morning. If we do, I'mma throw a fit.
We are due for a blizzard tomorrow. 8 inches predicted in my area. We will see because they have been majorly wrong a couple times this winter. I am looking forward to a snowy, lazy, snuggly day with DS tomorrow.
