Mh and I are on our way to MIA now to catch our flight to Barbados. I practically wept while putting C to bed last night and teared up again saying bye to the littles this morning. I've never had a night away from C before and the most I've had away from B is 2 nights.
Anyways, no more sniveling - I'm sure no one feels sorry for me. 😜 So let me focus on the important things - enjoying some time alone w mh and getting a suntan. 🌞
yummeecookee have a great trip! We are all off. I think everyone is feeling better. Not sure what we are going to do but hopefully get out of the house.

lfigge, how is S doing today? (I assume ok since you're taking her to DC). I just am trying to catch up on the weekend thread and saw your post about that very rough morning.

Back to reality here. I kinda hate MH cause he got C this little bowling game that is definitely meant for older kids. So much screaming and tantrums when he can't get the pins to stay up.
Morning! C woke up at 7 to nurse and fell back asleep; B is hanging out in our bed while I scratch his back. DH is snoring away. Pretty exciting stuff.
More house projects here today; I settled on a piece of art and a new entry hall fixture so ordering those. DH has the day off, and my parents are coming for dinner tonight.
1) those off you who pump for your kid, how big are their bottles?
2) dd hates being in the car /car seat with a vengeance, any thoughts?
C would go ballistic in the car if there was any sun shining in his eyes. I know it sounds like such a simple thing, but getting sun shades completely transformed our car rides!

I freeze into 4 oz bags. I just actually asked my DC worker if she thought it was the right amount bc I remember increasing it at some point with Sam to 4.5 oz. she said sometimes he was fine and sometimes she thought he could use a little more (usually in the afternoon). So now I am sending some 4 oz and some at more like 4.25 oz
No help on the car seat other than the obvious- toys. Ben hates getting strapped in but once we get him outside he's usually fine. When the weather's nice sometimes I'll bring him outside to strap him in bc then he's just happy he's outside.
nam2013 - Chase only gets 1-2 bottles at daycare now since he's eating more food, but his bottles are 5oz. Col used to take 5.5 but my kids are big eaters and it shows, LOL. Kids are all different and you really can't compare FF, it's also completely different.
Also Chase hates the car seat so Col will sing to him and try to make him laugh. We got 15 minutes yesterday before he cried and it was all thanks to Colin being a goofball. I wish I had real advice, this is new for us, too.
Morning from the couch! I'm off and surprise surprise, DH didn't actually take the day. So I won't be trying too hard to keep them quiet, haha.
Anyhow I got up early and got in a brutally hilly 14 mile run. I'm signed up for a race in 2 weeks so getting this done was a huge weight off my shoulders.
So my town has a lot of 100+ year old homes, some a lot older. I actually have a book about them, I just love them. About a year ago, this one gorgeous red carriage house was severely damaged in a fire. I don't get over there often over the winter because I avoid going in that general area when there's no light. So imagine my surprise a few miles into my run when I turn the corner to see a brand new craftsman home. It was beautiful, but so weird.
Nothing really planned. DH has illusions of going for lunch and for haircuts. I pointed out that we really can't do both but he doesn't agree. But he's always late and asking for 2 more minutes when he needs at least 10, so I take him with a grain of salt.

I'm jealous of all the people who have the day off. I'm at work. At least traffic wasn't bad, so I made good time. It's raining today. The storms were so loud last night my cat was hiding under the bed and he's not normally scared of thunderstorms.
yummeecookee she goes ballistic as soon as she's put in, but I could give it a try!
73jewels thanks! Dd doesn't take more than 3.25oz from a bottle and ff moms are declaring me close to insane for how little I give her (3x +- 3oz). I needed some perspective!
nam2013 - that sounds right. You have to increase the amount of formula as they age but not breastmilk since it changes naturally as they grow. Ben eats about every 3.5 hours so it seems like they're probably eating about the same amount. How many hours are you away from her? They say about an ounce an hour, so that should be ok for like 9-10 hours
chrisy01 Thanks for checking on us. I just got caught up on the last few days. That sucks about your power. I'd be so annoyed, that's a huge inconvenience.
Both boys are home today. X is in a perpetual state of illness and has been for two months. No marked improvement in his symptoms since we started Singulair.
His first year is turning out to be every bit as tough as Atticus' was.
I can't wait for afternoon naps. Literally. I may not be able to wait, I am falling asleep with Colin running around and shrieking a few feet away. Yaaaawn.
I'm at work, but my boss forgot it was a federal holiday so I'll leave by noon, if not sooner. I sort of wish we would have known ahead of time, but I expected this to happen. I definitely plan on keeping the kids at DC, but I'm not sure what I'll do with my afternoon. I should clean out my closet. It's totally acceptable to drink wine too, right?

nam2013. Both my kids were formula fed. At 10 months, L will only take about 4oz. C was drinking 9oz at a time at this age. Every kid is different! If she seems content, I wouldn't worry about other babies drinking more.
Hello ladies. My sister, niece and nephew arrived late last night. Sister and niece left to go to the cities and I have nephew for the day. So far it's been super fun breaking up all the fights. So I probably won't be around too much today. It's raining outside so no physical activity that way. We are going to my other sister's house after nap this afternoon.
Meh, kind of defeated, honestly. Just tired and fed up. He's hasn't been well since before Christmas. He's still sharing a room with us and I can't move him to Dude's room until things level off. God only knows when that will be.
wedding I don't know what the next step is. I take him to the pedi for his 6 month visit next Tuesday. We'll see what she says but I have a few it will just be "kids get 6-8 colds their first year." And he's having a hard time with teeth right now.
Some day...probably a long time from now...I'm going to get to eat a meal without a hand reaching onto my plate or someone tearfully begging for a bite.
