Lows of last week: I had pizza 3 days in a row over the weekend.

Highs: I was in beast mode at the gym and actually followed through on using weights and working on core, legs and arms. Plus my cardio.

Goals: to continue to eat healthy. to set good examples for my kids. to make it to the gym 3 times if not more. to run for longer lengths. to get more steps in this week than last week.

After a few days on the treadmill, needing motivation, I kept coming up with silly mantras that kept me going. What mantra do you repeat to yourself to keep you going? I have several - Quitting is not an option. - I'll never know if I can if I don't try. - you have to sweat and work harder to see the change

Lows: Still not drinking enough water, but did a major cut back on my caffeine intake! Lots of carbs, but I should face the reality that I would not exist if it wasn't for carbs.

Highs: Made it to the gym 3 times and got a schedule of what to do set up. Will have a gym buddy starting this week too!

About to call for the shuttle to pick up our vehicle and head to the gym. Back/chest/abs/cardio are on the agenda!

i'm also popping back in here to say, i forgot what it was like to have sore legs. my inner thighs are so so so sore from Fridays work out...lol

Lows: MH had a horrible stomach virus, we quarantined him in our master, I let my Fitbit die and couldn't charge it since last night. Also, couldn't work out because H couldn't care for A, germs and all.

Highs: I don't even know...I started tracking my calories on mfp today.

Goals: to stay within calorie limits. I'm traveling later this week, so not sure if I will track when I'm gone. We'll see.

Lows: I didn't stick to my calorie count this weekend and I also only worked out 3 days this week.

Highs: I resisted lots of bad food all week and no binging and purging happened.

Goals: Stick with my calorie count all week. Workout 4 times.

I'm loving the mantras. I will tell myself, "Can't stop. Won't stop." and, when I'm cycling, "Never coast," which I think is from Flywheel, but I like it. Also, "Progress, not perfection." Also, to get myself started, "I've never regretted a workout, but I have regretted not working out."

Lows: Last week was super busy and stressful, culminating in a big all-day event that I organized on Friday. During said event, I basically fueled myself on sugar and starch. I never want to see another swedish fish again.

Highs: I managed to get some good workouts in, including an 8 mile run on Sunday evening.

Goals: Have a healthy week. Stick to my meal plan. No weeknight drinks. No sweets. Get in 2 HIIT workouts. Run 9 this weekend.

Lows: I only worked out maybe 3 times last week. My eating is not great. I have zero ambition to get off of my butt.

Highs: 3 work outs is better than none?

Goals: drink more water. My intake is atrocious. Try to get my ambition back.

yes 3 workouts is better than none mommabakes! I only got 4 in and i call that a win. I typically aim for 3!!

@janetheconquerer, I do mantras a lot when I am running too. Often related to form like "head up shoulders down" or just weird stuff like that. Or just motivational stuff like "you've got this. go." Whatever works for that day!

lows: I had my 2nd skin cancer removal last week so I'm not SUPPOSED to be working out yet...
highs:...but I did do a couple of runs over the weekend because the weather was so damn nice. 3 miles each day, Sat/Sun

goals: Start back up with Adriene's Yoga Revolution on Wednesday. I've had a couple of weeks I was forced off for rest and then it is also just tough for me to fit it in each day so I'm considering shooting for getting it done by the end of February. I only have 6-7 more so I could do it if I manage to work it in every day Feb 22-28.
I'd also like to maybe do one or two weekday runs after school this week and some more next weekend.
Still trying to cut down on sweets but it is so tough.

Yeah but I do it for the extra benefits for w. Like being able to run around with him, so he won't be embarrassed of having obese parents, so he'll learn healthy life habits, etc.

@mrspanpan maybe wear a pad next time? Kegels aren't the only exercise needed to strengthen your pelvic floor. In fact jumping Jack's help strengthen it (but also cause you to maybe pee). A friend told me.

Ran 3 yesterday and did a 45 minute spin class tonight! Typing that I realize I really should incorporate more non cardio into my workouts.

@mrspanpan, i need to get it on video but A "does" jumping jacks. It is very entertaining.

I just did this workout. It was intense. W was. Mimicking me and grabbed his chest because I was holding my boobs while jumping. It's only 20 minutes so not bad at all and it got my heart going.

I'm feeling pretty good. I weighed myself today and I'm down 3 pounds. That's 8.5 in a little over two weeks. The workout I'm doing is low impact so a lot of this is nutrition based. I fully expect the weight loss to slow down
