DH and I have pretty much decided not to spend the money on a Vegas trip for our anniversary. Which is responsible but a bit of a bummer. One day I'll see jimmy buffet in concert... one day...
Speaking of music, SIL and I saw fifty shades yesterday and the soundtrack is awesome! Also I was side eyeing a lady super hard for having her two toddlers in that movie. Didn't make it better they were unhappy about it too.

Well then. I will also admit to seeing the porno with terrible dialogue and awesome music. Toddlers? Seriously?!
I actually screamed out loud when crazy chick shot the gun. Scared the crap out of me lol
lilyelayne that is super responsible...doesn't it suck! Hopefully soon you will be able to go on your trip. DH and I are thinking of going to Hawaii for our 10 year anniversary! That will be a big one. We will see. And I want to see that movie too but that'll be a rental for us.
I am finishing up getting the house back in order after the party. Then I have A's 2 year appointment this afternoon. It's a bit overdue bc it was rescheduled since she was sick for the 1st attempt. Whatever!
Today both boys have appointments with the pediatrician. Other than that we have no plans, no visitors and I'm excited for that.
lilyelayne sorry about your trip, being responsible is not fun sometimes.
My mom is finally retiring and is planning her retirement trip to Hawaii. And even though she's been talking about it for a while she finally decided it's going to be next February or March. So we've got that to save up for and look forward to.
We have hit up Target today trying to get spring and summer wardrobe for S during the good sales this weekend. We did pretty well and now I will finish up online and hopefully be set.
Speaking of inappropriate, H and I watched Dirty Grandpa (his choice) last night. Oh my the vulgarity and from De Niro...I was shocked. I have to admit I laughed at a few parts though.
A is back up to his birth weight already and no signs of rsv, all healthy on his first appointment!
V freaked out for the first time when he got his vaccine, but he his ear infection is cleared up and is doing well otherwise.
The pediatrician moved offices from the last time I was there and the new office is pretty snazzy. They have colored chairs now and V had to switch chairs every other second to a new color chair. Blue chair momma, green chair, momma.....over and over.
kartish glad for a good appointment! I'm impressed V knows his colors. Everything is green if you ask A 😂
Our appointment went well too. A is now trying to catch up to N's height apparently- she is in the 93 precentile. So she might be tall too after all (all thanks to dada). No vaccinations this time and A was so at ease to be there (I thought she would freak out) that she was dancing around.
dreemkin DH has been working on colors with V since he was born practically, but it just barely clicked for him in the last week or so, and he's pretty proud of it. He points out the color of everything lately, but it's not always the correct color.
can i be an ass for a minute please? our house is seriously busting at the seams, and i've been working my tail off to purge everything i can and get it organized before DD2 arrives and the baby stuff will have to be out again. our families tend to go overboard with gifts for DD - first world problems, i know. but i JUST got the playroom purged and organized, with a little spare room for new stuff. DH and i agreed that we'd talk to our families and ask that the gifts be kept small and reasonable.
fast forward to her party. my family kindly obliged. his family went crazy. i was trying to suppress a panic attack when they brought the gifts inside. among MANY other things, she got a huge crawl through tunnel and tent, a gymnastics mat (!!!), and a 3 ft trampoline. for christmas, they got her a scooter, a set of rela golf clubs (GOLF CLUBS PEOPLE), a hopscotch mat, a ball pit, a rocking horse...you get the idea. everything is big. like...where will i put these things?! even our garage is overflowing. DH never had the "small gift" conversation with his family, so here we are. i am so mad at him. mostly bc both my sister and mom said something about how they felt like they didn't do enough, since DD opened an entire toy store worth of gifts from DH's family in front of everyone. like it's not a contest and i'm grateful that she is so loved, truly. but wtf. DH and i can't even buy her anything bc she has too much!
agm04 that is so frustrating. I would honestly donate a lot of it without regret. If they ask say you just don't have room for it all and move on. All 4 of you will be happier with less stuff.
aggiebug i sooooo want to do this, but his mom comes over once a week and will ask about things she doesn't see. at the very least i'm thinking about keeping the bigger stuff in the garage and only getting it out to play with in the back yard on nice days, or packing some things and rotating them monthly (but that requires way too much effort from me). it'll require some tetris in the garage, but may maintain my sanity. plus i can give DH that job since it's his fault for not telling them! haha i'm such a joy.

agm04 are your ILs still demanding too frequent trips to their house? Because if so all that big stuff can live there for A to play with when she visits.
lilyelayne i LOVE that idea. we don't go over there all that often, but they do ask constantly, and we're about to stay with them for a week while our floors are redone. could save me from at least a couple of these things!!
aggiebug haha thank you, i like your suggestions too. i know we'll figure it out, i was just so blah about it yesterday.
