I really want Leo to take a decent nap today. Like 2 hrs at least. Dh's cousins' wife is in the hospital. We're going to visit tonight, hopefully she'll be home. I'd like to bake something to take over.
It's germ central over here. A sore throat for dh, a nasty cold for lo, and a stomach bug from hell for me. I'm feeling a little more human today. Yesterday was rough. I'm torn between Lysoling every surface in the house or just burning the place down. Hope the rest of you have a better start to your week!
littlelion hopefully the warm weather lingers for a bit, we'd all like to enjoy it before it goes.

Were still in Lowes. DH decided he wanted to order our new front door today. Em was running and fell and busted her lip super hard. She's fine now. We got her a sucker. But it was awful and blood was everywhere.

Leo is finally down for his nap. He fought so hard even though I could tell he was tired. We both cried. If the 3's are worse than the 2's, I don't know how I'll survive. 😩
ourcrazynavylife poor girl! Lo did that at Target- busted his lip on the shopping cart while we were checking out. Blood and screaming and so many people staring. littlelion hope he took a nice, solid nap for you! What did you end up baking?

Yea, it was a legit 20+ minutes of sobbing hysterically. But she's fine now and luckily doesn't look like she hit her teeth on the floor. You can barely see the cut on her lip anymore so that's good.
We've officially stayed up way too late finishing Braveheart and ordering shizz on amazon. So night night.

I had yesterday off and got my pap (yay adulting!) and hung out with LO all day. I was pretty much done by bedtime but he gave me such sweet cuddles that it made me almost forget what a long day it was. Still no word from CO. Hoping for something today. DH and I decided we're going to switch LO's daycare from a once a year tuition payment to a monthly payment. It's more expensive in the end, but if I find a job I can unenroll him anytime before December and not be out a full year's tuition cost. So we'll see. Or maybe I'll get a job offer today and we'll be moving and I won't have to worry about it (and instead will have to worry about a zillion other things).
I don't know if I would say spring is here. We're expecting to break the record high today, but then it's supposed to snow for the next 5 days. So, I'm not really sure what the hell is going on here lol.
DH and I have been so busy all weekend. We have 2 storage units we need to consolidate into one. We rent half of our friend's garage for storage and he sold his house. We need to move all our stuff, including a pool table, by the end of February. We shrank one down this weekend and will move the garage contents next weekend. I have no idea where the pool table is going to go, so this should be interesting. It's sentimental, so he won't let go of it. We're shopping for a house with a basement, specifically for the pool table. Today, I'm going to donate a bunch of stuff to our local thrift store. It's already loaded into the bed of the truck. I'm hoping someone will be there to help me unload it so I don't have to do it all by myself.
Tonight, I'm going to my annual hockey game. I try to go to as many as possible, especially since this is the last year my good friend will have season tickets to the Colorado Avalanche. Every year, he takes me to the Avs vs LA Kings game in February for my birthday. (It was almost 3 weeks ago.) They always play here in CO this month, and I haven't missed it in years. FIL will be babysitting starting at 4 pm and I can't wait. It will be nice to have a night out, even if it is a Tuesday lol.
TMI Tuesday: This pressure/pain in my pelvic/groin region can fuck off.
ashlantic, I hope you guys are all feeling better today! ourcrazynavylife, DS busted his lip last week too. It was so gross for a couple days because it would just start bleeding randomly. Seems to be better now finally though. Hope Em is feeling okay! raven, have a great time at the game! Sorry about the pelvic pain though, ugh. Remind me, how far along are you now?
Not much going on here today. DS is out at the indoor playspace with his nanny and I'm hanging out drinking coffee and watching SVU reruns while DD naps. When she wakes up we are going grocery shopping.
It's pretty nice out today so maybe in the afternoon we'll take them both outside. DS has been loving the tricycle my parents got him for his birthday. Yesterday he was almost able to pedal it himself! It made me tear up looking at him. He's growing up so, so fast.
Lo is so miserable today. This morning he laid in bed calling "Blow nose!!" and then when I was done wiping his nose he'd say "Light off. Go night night." He wants to play and I want him to rest so we compromised and played Playdoh and watched Frozen. I let him play in the shower to help his poor nose drain.
Dh has a doctor's appointment because his sore throat isn't getting any better.
Yesterday we Clorox wiped the whole house down and today I'm still playing catch up on laundry. We leave in a week for vacation so hopefully the germs are all gone by then!!
ourcrazynavylife ordering on Amazon is almost *too* easy. Especially with Prime and the app on my phone. Lol laceysbryan boo, I was hoping you'd hear by now! Hang in there. BabyStandish that's how our weather has been too. But like raven's weather, it's not going to last. We're supposed to be in the 60s all week, have crazy thunderstorms Friday and then back to the 30s. raven have fun tonight! Hope that pressure eases up soon. Good luck with the storage unit! dashook sounds like a fun day!

But I finally had an appointment with cardiology this morning.
My EKG looked totally fine. They didn't repeat the ECHO since I had one in 2012 that was totally normal. After I asked about the monitor I wore in December the doctor pulled that note up. I had 72 PVCs and 2 PACs.
He said because it was such a low load (like 0.12% of all my beats) and the fact that they've resolved that they're not concerned. And they're not really concerned with those types of beats anyways (especially during pregnancy) unless the load is greater than 40%.
Hello all! This week is the first week I am by myself with all 3 kids, my mom stayed last week when DH went back to work. We are, I think, getting into a groove. DS2 is a good baby and has been napping and sleeping really well, so hopefully that continues.
Birth story, you can skip over if you want
I woke up on Wednesday morning 2/1 at 3:30 am with contractions, again, they were 20 minutes apart so I didn't think much of them since that was my normal for the past month. I sent DH to work that morning saying I would call him if any thing changed. By 4 p.m. they had gotten to about 5 minutes apart but not painful. DH called on his way home from work and asked if I needed anything and I said no just to come home. He then called his mom who was going to take the kids if we decided to go to the hospital, she was on her way back from Omaha and said that she would just come by the house on her way back into town. By 8 p.m. the contractions were becoming painful and at 4 minutes apart. MIL showed up and DH and I gathered all of our last minute items and left for the hospital at 930. We got checked in and the nurse did a cervical check and I was only 3 cm . She gave us the option of staying and just being an observation patient and spending some time walking or going home. She said I was in labor but they can't admit us until you are 4 cm. She said that I would be having a baby that day. We decided to stay since MIL was at the house in using our bed. We spent an hour walking and bouncing on the yoga ball. The nurse did another cervical check and I had not progressed at all. I decided to try and get some rest since it was now almost 2 am. I laid down and the contractions got really painful and DH was sleeping so I decided to get in the shower to see if that would help with the pain. This is when the contractions moved to my back, I could still feel them in my front too. The nurse came back in at 430 am and did another check and I had only progressed to a 4.5 cm. She offered me IV meds, but I decided to wait and get back into the shower. DH tried doing counter pressure for my back but when he touched me it made it worse. By 6 am I had finally moved from a 4.5 cm to 6cm and they started the admittance process and started my IVs and penicillin since I had tested GBS+. At this point I could no longer take the pain and asked for an epidural, they were in my room by 7 am but the CNA took forever to get ready and had to make a huge deal about my crooked back. If she wouldn't have been messing with my spine at that point I think I would have kicked her out of the room. It then took her forever to place the epidural but once she did I was able o relax and get a cat nap in before my OB came in to check me. By 830 am I had progressed to a 7 but my contractions had become irregular so he broke my water and said to start pitocin. Luckily after my water was broken my contractions pick up again so I didn't need any pitocin. I finally fell asleep but the nurse came in at 930 am and said she wanted to do a check. I didn't think I had progressed much since it hadn't been that long. She did the check and said "Let's have a baby!" She then called the Dr who had almost made it out of the hospital, after 6 pushes and help from the mighty vac, Bro.oks Harr.ison was born at 9:50 am sunny side up. The reason I had the contractions in my back was because Bro.oks was presented facing up. I also needed help with the vac since he descended so fast he got stuck in my pelvis. I did have some tearing but have healed really well and feel so happy that he made his appearance 11 days early, weighing 8 lbs 9 oz and 20.75 inched long.
Sorry that was super long, but to be honest it was my most eventful birth yet

ashlantic no baking yet. She had to stay in the hospital until weds. I did decide to bake pecan pistachio bread. I get 2 loaves out of it so one for her and one for us.

I thought Leo had adjusted ok. But lately he's being aggressive towards baby. He left him pretty scratched up from the face last weekend. I have to watch him because a hair pat quickly turns into a head smack. I've been keeping them in separate rooms which doesn't always work or it's me running back and forth. Also, leo has started to suck his thumb/fingers. I guess he sees alex do it and decided he should too.
Anyways, my maternity leave officially ended today. DC doesn't have space for alex until 2 more weeks. Until then I'm taking pto, working half days or wfh.
littlelion DS has his moments with DD too. Today he was so incredibly sweet and wouldn't stop hugging her all day long. But then at one point I was sitting on the couch with the two of them, holding her in a seated position in one arm, when out of nowhere he just put his hand square on her face and tried to push her backwards. I was so mad!
littlelion MH is doing surprisingly well adjusting to baby. I will say today he was doing a couple things he knows he's not supposed to, and then he says "mama" and smiles. It is all while I am nursing the baby, so I know it is for attention. He has also started to hit and bite big sister, I don't know if it is for more attention or because this is a stage.
ourcrazynavylife so cute! dashook it's so sweet when they hug up on the little ones, but I don't think they realize how rough they can be. ashlantic how is everyone feeling? raven I can't believe you are 30 weeks already!
