Yeah my boys were/are Giants starting to outgrow their bunk beds/twin mattresses by like 8 so I'm picturing them in the house bed and laughing. I don't know how many years of use you'd really get out if the cute tent bed or house bed if you have a fast growing boy. Plus Changing sheets on a bunk bed are hard enough

My girlfriend has the cabin bed in full size and she's slept in it a number of times and says it's great. It's actually really large IRL, which is why we held off until we decide what room he's going into, because it would overwhelm one of our spare rooms.

we debated a fun bed like this for a while when we moved DS1 into a big kid bed and ultimately shied away because I was worried about the size and how long he'd actually be into it.
Basically I'm a boring parent.
It's huge IRL. Our one guest room is big and if we move him there, I'll get it. But if we keep him in the tiny room he's in now, he's getting a plain toddler bed and I'll be a boring parent too.
I was going to wear a black satin jumpsuit to this cocktail thing at work next weekend, but I've officially decided it makes my ass look huge in a bad way. I think I will be making a trip to Express and/or H&M tomorrow. Why do I always put this stuff off until the last minute?
I know Larry happened. Please do not try to convince me otherwise. Please don't talk to me about coffee. I don't drink it. I don't caffeine. When I state my opinion, that is me chiming in on a topic. This is not me saying you suck at life if you do or feel differently. If I want to say that, I will. If I want to speak on you, I will.

MH and I talked to a lady in line at the Gap yesterday. She had six boys. Youngest is now 20, oldest is 34. She said she "swore one of them would be a girl." She was really sweet and telling us stories about what it was like raising 6 boys. It actually sounded fun. She also had a bunch of clearance Valentine's Day boxers in her hands. She said she still buys underwear for the younger boys but the older boys won't let her do it anymore because their wives/gfs think it's weird.
I was actually thinking that I need to have my hearing tested again. I have genetic hearing loss problems and I've noticed it getting more... noticeable? lately. Really, the only solution is hearing aids, and I just cannot bring myself to do that yet, so I guess maybe I'll just continue to wait it out. And not be able to hear conversations when there is ambient noise.
My mother recently got hearing aids. She was putting them off for various reasons. She is elated and with the news ones how they are she said it was nothing like she thought. She's very happy. She also said they are very discreet.

I am also a boring parent re: kid beds. My big bed question is if they share a room eventually do we do two twins or bunks? I fell out of the top bunk a lot but I also didn't sleep there regularly (just when visiting relatives kicked me out of my bed).

How did you fall out of the top bunk? Didn't you have a rail on it?

I fell down the ladder, I think?
Okay, maybe the problem was klutzy, sleepy kid Library and not the bed.
The kids' trundle beds are finally being delivered this Saturday. Their comforters should be in today and tomorrow, so now I am looking at rugs. I think I'm more excited than they are!
ceebug , yay! I recently bought a rug for the playroom/family room and am antsy for it to be delivered.
Ds has his heart set on one of those road rugs where you can drive cars on it. I'm debating between trying to find one for both kids to share or letting them each have their own smaller rug. We don't have tons of room in there, but I think I can make two work.
adelbert that swinging bunk bed is insanely cool. I did a reverse image search and found it on a German website, so I have no clue what I'm looking at or even if it would fit in DS's room, but it would be awesome to have.

DS1 had DH's old bunk bed from when he was akid. I hate it. Not only is it ugly, but it's huge and a pain to change the sheets. When DS stated putting stickers on it I didn't stop him.
So last month for my review my boss changed our pay structure and it's going onto this week's payroll but the percentage he used is 5% less than what he told us. I'm super annoyed. I hate conflict and know I need to bring it up but I'm dreading it.
