Our A/S went very well. Both babies measuring about a week ahead. I was expecting a few days because I know I O'd earlier than what my EDD is. We confirmed two little girls! Both of them were very active and never stopped moving the whole time during the ultrasound.
My superhero cervix is doing it's thing. Nice and long and closed.
Crisco Salad, how'd your A/S go?? I'd be interested in hearing about your superhero cervix too. The slowing down thing is SO annoying. Just wait. It gets worse. And then you think it can't get worse. And it does. And then before you know it...you waddle.
Run20K, love that you got yourself a grabber. DH was joking I needed one but maybe he was actually on to something if you're using yours!
happyfeet9, everything go ok with your appointment?
dukegirlsc, the whole dizzy/passing out thing sounds quite terrible. Has it gotten any better?
lastkiss, I had to lol at YH missing articles for the laundry. Mine is like 4/4 for missing pillowcases when I ask him to strip our bed. Like. Fer real? wtf. It's not that hard.
river, I can't believe I missed a container store sale!! I love that place. Organization is the best. Also productive weekends are the best too.
@katerli, I also say "oh well" to the putting on of the lbs! It's an impossible game while pregnant. I try to be reasonable about what I chose to eat. But if I wanna eat I'll be damned if I'm going to not eat that donut.
therealbug, my Ob doesn't do any of my scans anymore. They're all done with the perinatologist (is this my MFM?). I go 2-3 days before Ob appointments so he gets the reports and then we talk about it.
elmo1414, how'd your appointments go?? Any chance you passed the GTT or do you have to endure that 3 hour one?
wannabmama, excited for your appointments next week!! I hope they all go well!!
dashuria, HGTV. No experience with the placenta/cord thing but it sounds like one of those 'meh' things. Like maybe I could see something coming of it but a placenta is a placenta no? It should have the same blood/nutrient supply all over. I guess there's nothing you can do about where the cord is and better to have a cord on the edge than no cord at all? Sorry this probably isn't helpful.
The appointments went really well. I passed my GTT it was a 2 hour. I am very happy to have passed but still monitoring my sugar because I have had some weird numbers.
Got to see the babies today and they are both measuring about the same so that was great.
DVMmomma I'm doing much better now that I recognize the pattern. I just have to eat every 3 hours without fail. I was just working too hard and not paying attention, now that I'm on leave I can do better with that!

Regular appointment on Thursday. It's the last doctor in the practice and I'm ready for this rotation to be over. I haven't seen my "real" doctor in forever.
Still so much lower back and hip pain. Tylenol and heating pads are for the birds. I'll sit next to you on the momguilt bench Run20K
DH is wonderful, but he's getting on my nerves. We've been CDing since C was 8 weeks old and granted, I've always done 98% of the changes, DH is acting like a total newb! Even after I've explained what everything is for! He insists that I tell him something different every time and that I don't keep the diapers organized the way I explain things.... but lmao, seriously? Our stash is made up of 3 simple diapers: night time, AIOs for the diaper bag and shells with snap in inserts for everyday. I know I've told him several times to use the shells for everyday because rinsing poop off inserts is so much easier than an AIO. Sorry, this probably sounds like gibberish to some of you. The crazy person inside my head keeps whispering that he's doing it on purpose to get out of more changes because I just don't have the patience or sanity lol
GTKY: Show us your view this morning! See my rant above... I'm doing diaper laundry and wondering WTF is disorganized in this pic...
You are SO organized! Also, loving what looks to be an ombré painted dresser? So pretty!
Thanks for the tag, vetmomma! And Run20K - the grabber! I need this. Will it pick up a 36 pound, 18 month old?
Week/Team/Fruit: 22+6/team boy/girl (but "keeping the receipts")/grapefruits
Appointments this week: my 22 week was cancelled this past Monday so I'll go back this Monday for a cervical check
Symptoms: Heartburn. Tums are my besties right now!
Rants/Raves/Questions: I can't believe how much slower I'm moving already. I'm planning on working until I go, but after this past Tuesday of seeing more patients than I usually would in an afternoon - there is NO WAY that is happening unless my schedule chills out. Also, I'm trying to grow the balls to ask for an extra month maternity leave. I'll get the 3... but considering how much of a hot mess life will be, an extra month would be amazing.
GTKY: Show us your view this morning! Whatcha looking at, whatcha doing? I have no idea how to post a picture that's not huge since I use the app. (Help?) but I'm going to do it anyway. We are enjoying a long weekend in Scottsdale as a little babiesmoon. Cooler temps, but amazing how warm this sun is!
Thanks for the tag! I can't believe mine are out lol both are doing good, keep improving each day. Charlottes heart rate is doing really well with the meds, they should start weaning back to see how it goes. Here is my view =)

lotusbee I am jealous of so many things in that picture, the pool that is perhaps warm enough to be in, the fact that you can be laying out without drawing a crowd and your pedicure! It's warm here but the pool is still too chilly and I will only be that undressed in my own backyard at this point! And I'm holding out on the pedicure until week 36 so that I have cute toes for delivery!

So I had a big scare last night but first off I'll start by saying the babies and I are OK.
I am 13weeks today. Around 5:30pm last night I started having really bad stomach pains - I honestly thought I was having horrible gas pains. I was curled up on the floor for a bit and told my husband "I just need to poop or puke and I think I'll feel better!" I laid down around 6pm and shortly after felt a gush of blood. I continued having these gushes & filled two overnight pads in 30mins. Called my Dr. who said to head to the ER.
Loooong story short (we didn't get home until 5:30am) both the babies are good with strong heart rates. I was so relieved I was crying on the ultrasound table. They discovered a large SCH on (or around? The details on that are fuzzy) Baby B's placenta. I was also put on IV fluids and given the Rhogam shot. The ER Dr has told me to lay low over the weekend and try to rest and not lift my DS as much as possible. He said that this could resolve on its own but sometimes the SCH can take over the fetus, which has me so nervous. I see my OB for a follow-up on Monday morning.
Any SCH info/experience would be appreciated, as googling right now is freaking me out. I'm just so grateful we have our babies - I really thought things were over for one or both of them last night. Also my DH and baby boy are troopers who waited in the ER for 6hrs (WAY past DS's bedtime) and then after that ended up sleeping in the car for a lot of the night. Its tough not having any family around.

dashuria, First, ((hugs))! I'm glad you all are ok. What a scary night! Second, stay away from Google. Happy thoughts and good vibes coming your way and good news on Monday.
dashuria, big hugs! That sounds incredibly scary, and I'm glad you and babies are all ok! I don't have any personal SCH experience, but a few ladies on my BMB (singletons) had SCHs and they all resolved without issue. I'll be thinking of you!

dashuria oh my goodness how scary! I am so glad that you and babies are ok! I'm tagging @wineandcupcakes because I think she dealt with a SCH with her twins

dashuria,I am so sorry you had that happen but so glad both looked good.
I was dx'd with a small SCH not quite two weeks ago. I went in for our NT at 12w (at MFM) and they did a transvag u/s to check my cervix length. About 1 1/2 after leaving I had a large bleed. I called the OB and the consensus that day was my cervix must have been irritated from the u/s. Five days later, I had another large bleed. I had been having light cramping all day. I opted to stay home so I could just sit, keep my feet up, and stay hydrated. The OB had me come in for another u/s and that is when they saw the small SCH.
Basic instructions that I was given was to call if I had severe/sharp cramping or another large bleed. I would ask your OB on Monday if they think you should continue with bed rest and lifting restrictions. Staying hydrated and taking it easy seem to be the most common recommendations.
Lots and lots of hugs. I know how scary bleeding is. What I did find out is that SCHs are more common with IVF and more common with twins.
Thank you all so much for your kind words and encouragement! I really appreciate it. And hearing from you guys is helping me stay off Google (thanks LydiaDeetz & lastkiss).
therealbug, that is all incredibly helpful, thank you! I'm really sorry you have been going through a similar situation. I'll for sure ask my OB about any further restrictions. Thank you! And thanks DVMmomma for tagging her.
Thank you all again for the thoughts and hugs. I'll keep you posted after Monday. No bleeding or cramping today so thats good.
@wineandcupcakes, thank you so much! You explained this way better than the Dr last night! Also he didn't have any paper so he took a pen and drew a diagram of the uterus and placenta on the bed sheet next to my head (haha) so it was hard to see - plus it was 5am and I was exhausted. Thank you for all the advice and wisdom. And for taking the time to write this - I know you have some cuties to snuggle!

dashuria just chiming in to add another positive outcome story. I had a pretty large SCH with DD. It ended up reabsorbing on its own and everything was fine. They just put me on pelvic rest when they found it and said no heavy lifting. Other than that, I didn't do anything special or different. The RE at the time said he sees it in about 60% of ART patients so he wasn't really worried
dashuria, I went in for some cramping around 10w and the ER U/S tech found a small SCH. When I went to see my MFM the next day they said they had known about it but it was so common in ART patients and the location wasn't a concern, so they didn't mention it to me. They also said that the ER tech probably wasn't familiar with multiples and that they tend to think things that are more commonplace/normal are a bigger deal. I was not given any additional restrictions at that point (I had a 20lb lift restriction my entire pregnancy). It had completely resolved by the next week.

Can I ask if and when did you start buying things for your multiples? I feel conflicted about buying anything because still feel like it's early but at the same time feel like I'm being overly worrisome for no reason.

We bought the car seats, twin PnP, snap and go stroller around 15 weeks because BRU was having the trade in sale. Otherwise we waited until 20-24 weeks to buy clothes.

Did you find the twin PnP useful? I just noticed the trade in is going on right now. I have a PnP from DS but it doesnt have the bassinet.

Yes we are loving it. My twins are 4 weeks old so we are using it daily. It's set up in our living room so we have a place to put them on the main floor. (All bedrooms are upstairs).
schmella thanks for sharing this! Glad to hear your SCH resolved without issue. I'm eager to hear what my OB and MFM have to say and if it matches or differs with what the ER Dr/ultrasound tech advised.
