The nurse from the diabetes center was just about 3 seconds away from telling me I need to start insulin I think. Then she asked if I'm measuring big and I said actually I'm measuring about a week or two behind. She was shocked and said she would have to talk to the dr again and call me back. I'm getting rid of the progesterone shots this week now I might be adding another F'ing needle.
That sucks. Why would they think you need insulin?
My numbers have been just a tad high. Not supposed to go over 130 an hour after eating and after a couple meals it's been 140-150. I told her I've been a little lax with the diet between Girl Scout cookies, Valentine's Day and just not feeling like snacking mid morning and mid afternoon. Plus I was on antibiotics and mucinex for 10 days.
And at this point I could only be on insulin for a few days.

Weird. I'm surprised they would add insulin for those #s. my endo also averaged 4-5 days of numbers as well. If you do go on it, the needles are tiny.

Okay I started a thread!
If you're FF from the jump, that's awesome. If you want/need to supplement, also awesome. No shame in feeding your baby here! I don't ever want anyone to feel bad around this subject.

My mom is under the impression she's watching DS while I'm in the hospital. She's not, and I've told her my brother is coming to say with DS.
BUT, if watching DS was so important to her why would she plan a trip out of town the day I'm 39 weeks up until my due date?
I mean, am I overreacting about this?
You are not being ridiculous. Your mom is. If she is back in time for your hospital stay and she makes a big thing about not being the one to watch DS, id say it must not have been that important if she was willing to go away when she did. She's just being dramatic for the sake of being dramatic.
Also hi! The hospital let me go with instructions to come back if I feel off in any way or if the extreme itching returns (I havent had any for 2 days). My liver enzymes came back as normal and since theyd rather keep baby inside as long as safely possible that is where she will stay. I see my OB on monday, and extra NST on Tuesday and a pre-op some time before Thursday as well. The on duty OB was great. He said "common sense overrules any test result" and to go with my gut.

The NP now wants to re-evaluate on Monday since I've only been off the medicines for a week. I just keep to keep my shit together until then. The nurse did tell me that it if I did go on insulin it would be a long acting one and only at bedtime.

Yeah this is where I'm at as well. She has also hinted about being in the room with me and that's a hard fucking pass. IDK, if she can't make something about her she usually doesn't want to be a part of it and that upsets me.

Ugh, Im sorry she's causing you this frustration. Completely immature and selfish of her. I vote stand your ground on who is watching DS and who will/will not be in the room. Id just state facts and leave it at that. It doesnt sound like she is the type who would be worth engaging with beyond simple and direct "yes/no".
I am 1.5-2cm dilated and 40% effaced. Crossing my fingers really hard for a weekend baby!!!
My next appointment is scheduled for Monday afternoon, and from there we will schedule an induction in the first week of March if I haven't delivered yet. Literally I cannot fathom this lol

So excited for all of the babies either here or coming soon!! I'm sitting here at 36+4 really ready to be done with this pregnancy (for selfish reasons; I haven't had any complications). I had an appointment this afternoon where I learned that I lost 2 lbs since last appt, my cervix is soft/75% effaced, 1 cm dilated, and I had my GBS test (vag and butt swab, but the midwife did it). Of course I don't wish a premie on anyone, myself included, but I'd be ok with this baby coming a week or 2 early!
