I just started a dear diary on the current sleep situation at my house and it got so long that I didn't even care enough to want to read it. She's putting up one hell of a battle, but I think I'm going to win this war.
I just came running in here and haven't read anything to see if dashook had any reports for us yet?! Did your wondfos arrive? I am clearly overly invested.

Lilah is no longer swaddled, but still sleeps in the pnp. Well, until she wakes to eat and then we cosleep because it's so much easier for me. Lillian has been having nightmares and has been coming into our room motn crying. I sleep with Lilah on one side and Lillian on the other. It's not ideal, but at least we are all asleep.
We have a pj potluck party this morning and then I HAVE to go to the store either after or this afteenoon. DH has chess club so I won't go get him until after 5. At least we'll be busy and maybe, if I'm lucky, Lillian will nap for me.

waitwhat I just looked at her sleep log and laughed. Ya know, so I don't cry. It can only go up from here. I at least now know when she needs to be going down. Now to actually get her to go and stay asleep...

Apparently I should have turned the ceiling fan in my room on sooner. Girl is going BANANAS.
this is my trick when I need a 5 minute shower and kid won't nap! Put him in he middle of bed with the ceiling fan. They are magical I tell ya!
I think she and ceiling fan just came up with a plan for world peace. She has the most serious look on her face and is practically yelling at it. I'm dying.
Is this the 4 month regression waitwhat, and sophiegrace? What is this sleep log you speak of and how does it help you identify when they need to go down? I've been keeping L on my schedule because I have dogs, so he never gets the recommended sleep at night or during the day.
ClassyMrsA, there's a chess club for adults or is he the teacher supervisor?
I think our nightly showers are ruining L's skin but I'm afraid he won't sleep without it!

Haha! No they aren't here yet. I assume they'll come by USPS (because small) so I'll hopefully have them sooner than later and be able to update you all
Edit: nvm I just checked the tracking and it says UPS. Which means could be as late as 8 pm. Boo!

cheshie6 we bathe every night too. We only use soap every three days or so and load up on the lotion after while she's still a bit damp and then again in the morning when I get her dressed for the day. I highly recommend vanicream. It was suggested by the Pedi Derm when she broke out in a rash before all the milk proteins were out of my BM. I'm keeping a sleep log because I was feeling like I just couldn't figure her cues out. So I started writing EVERYTHING down and a pattern started to emerge. +1 to the dogs causing issues. It is so incredibly frustrating some days.
waitwhat, no new appointment yet! 😠No I only soap up once a week! It's more of a relaxing thing, then we lotion up with Cetaphil baby, get dressed for bed in a onesie, wrapped up in Halo, and feed, put in sleeper!

sophiegrace C loves our fan too! I almost wish I didn't get a plain white one for his room because he hardly notices it. But ours he will just talk and scream at while I'm getting myself ready.
So after 2 nights of only one wakeup, he was back to his shenanigans again last night. Luckily H took the first half of the morning because I was dead tired. He woke up talking to himself though and that was really cute. It's funny because when he wakes up in a good mood, he almost always has a poopy diaper.
After his morning bottle, we went to BRU to buy some toys and teethers. They didn't have the munch mitt in store so I'll be ordering that online instead. They also have the cutest St. Patrick's day onsie that I need to buy, but C is right on the edge of possibly needing the next size up so I'm going to wait a couple weeks.
Just got back home to a clean house. It's a beautiful day out so we're gonna go for a walk soon.
Man C apparently just wants to fit in with the sleepless crowd. I put him to bed at 8 and then went to bed myself because has been exhausting me this week. Apparently H went in twice before 9 to get him settled. Then up at 12,3 and 5. Thank goodness H took those first two before 9 because I would be wiped instead of just a little behind on sleep.
Weather is beautiful today so we spent several hours at the park which was fun. It will be nice when C is old enough for sunscreen. I am still a big shade and coverage person but sometimes sunscreen is the best you can do.
C keeps closing his eyes but wakes back up after a couple minutes. The only nap he's had so far has been in the car on the way home. I put him in his swing drowsy thinking he'd pass right out but he doesn't seem interested. Might have to cuddle with him after I finish my lunch and hope that does the trick.

I went to Panera drive thru to get a salad for lunch. I wanted this avacado cobb that I used to get all the time but didn't see it on the menu so in a panic, I ordered a Ceasar. Freakin $8 on lettuce, chicken and croutons. And I had to convince myself not to get a cookie so I ordered an apple thinking maybe it'll satisfy my sweet tooth. I'm just staring at it now wishing it was a cookie.

waitwhat and goldenlove3 I hope your boys are a bit more mellow when tired than my little miss. I finally just had to put her in her dockatot because she got herself so worked up that she was scratching me and her face. 25 minutes of me shushing and patting her and she's finally out. I just hope the nap lasts longer than that.

waitwhat I agree about Panera. The past couple times I've gone, I'm just amazed at how much I spend. BUT unless I want fast food, it's only Panera or Tim Hortons around here with a drive thru.
sophiegrace He definitely has his moments where he does the same thing as M. This time he just sat in his swing and stared at me while I ate. I went into the kitchen and he ended up falling asleep since he couldn't see me. Hopefully these LOs sleep for a while!!
Nooooo and I'm getting annoyed. Fucking Amazon. I ordered these on Monday with free 2-day shipping. The same day, I ordered MH's birthday present, also with 2-day shipping, and guess what? It arrived yesterday. Now, how does that work?

There are too many delivery options these days. I don't get how they decide between regular UPS or FedEx or the one where USPS finishes the delivery. I ordered 4 items from buy buy baby last week and they arrived in 3 different ways. Same things happened with Kohl's.
