I am not drinking yet. But I figured I'd pop in here and say that DD's brain is apparently nothing to worry about. They just somehow "accidentally" changed the categorization of her tumor from something relatively benign to something with a significantly less favorable prognosis.
So I guess I'll cheers to that after the kids are in bed! In eleventy hours.
DS2 had such a massive growth spurt in the last couple of weeks, I had to buy him a whole new wardrobe. He actually had a little opinion about things when we went shopping today, and asked for a couple of shirts. It was fun.
He's 98th percentile for height and DS1 is 15th. I don't think we have long before they're sharing clothes.
My DS has gone through 2 sizes in two months. I can't keep up. Don't get me started on shoes.
I know Larry happened. Please do not try to convince me otherwise. Please don't talk to me about coffee. I don't drink it. I don't caffeine. When I state my opinion, that is me chiming in on a topic. This is not me saying you suck at life if you do or feel differently. If I want to say that, I will. If I want to speak on you, I will.

H messed up some paperwork for his student loans this month, so $1000 was drafted from out account instead of $300. We were on a super strict budget this month after all of our other bills were paid, but we have $10 left in our budget before he gets paid tomorrow. We are celebrating with wine.
Is anyone else watching April the Giraffe? She's stressing me out.
Is that the giraffe that they are live streaming the birth?
Yes! And she's just wandering around her pen. Endlessly pacing. I have no idea how this is going to go - will she lie down? Will a baby giraffe just pop out? Will her caretakers come rushing in at any moment? How long does it take a giraffe to give birth? And once the calf is out, will she clean him/her? Will the little one just stand up immediately?

I have so many questions. So I keep watching.
Some of these I know. They usually give birth standing, hich typically severs the cord, she'll clean the baby off right away, and the calf should stand in a few minutes. Try are a prey species, so have to be ready to go fast.
I'm not sure about the caretakers. They may rush right in, or give her some time alone. They will probably collect the placenta after it passes so that their vet can examine it.
Also, the active labor is pretty fast. Front Hooves out first, then nose.

The church that DS's daycare is in has been very hands off. They started remodeling recently, so I should have seen this coming. They are taking over the daycare program and turning it into a faith based one.
This is the church DH and I wondered if they were going to pull out snakes mid service because they were a bit, uh, intense.
So I'm contacting other places that I know transport to school.

How long is labor? They've been saying "Any minute now!" for - like - two days. Haha.

I'm prefer a reptile free church service
I prefer being at one that doesn't make me question if there will be some.
The kid's stuff seemed ok, but during the sermon the pastor was using liberal as an insult, so we're done.

I'm not sure exactly, she's probably showing signs that she's about to go into labor, like restlessness, but they aren't sure when it would happen. I'd guess after her water breaks, probably less than a half hour.
Do you guys ever look at your kid and think, "omg, that's what you're going to look like as a teenager"? That happened today and it freaked me out. PDQ

So I decided to play mean mom with DS and the car seat and just push him down into the seat right away instead of trying to get him to cooperate and things are markedly better. Also DH is back home from his work trip.
