zonagirl, I was induced with pitocin with my first and chained to the bed and monitors. I was able to do it epi-free, which really mattered to me. I'm terrified of being numb/unable to move. That being said, I have really fast labors.
Good luck with your choice. I'm glad you had a good first experience as yourbase.
zonagirl, I would say go with your gut for now (whichever it is) but be ready to change if you want! I had a friend change providers about a month before her due date recently because of logistics (wanted to deliver at a hospital closer to home in February when we have a higher chance of bad weather). It wouldn't be unheard of and I'd say you have a really really good reason if you do end up switching!
Oh today. Glad it is almost over, but not looking forward to Monday. K fought her nap. I gave up after trying for about 2 hours. Then she passes out 5 minutes before we left to run errands so she got a short nap in around 5. Left the diaper bag at the grocery store so H will have to go get it tomorrow. Now to finish getting ready for bed and lay with DS.
Rant starting. I watched the Oscars for only a tiny bit before getting really pissed off when the celebrities were clamoring over the donuts and cookies falling from the ceiling because they were 'starving.' I know sometimes I'm a sensitive SS, but I take care of many people who can't afford food on any given day. Given what is going on in the world, I think that kind of thing is such poor taste. Rant over.
