Looks great mwhipple77. I have a deep sink too, mine has 2 basins though, and the only thing I don't like is that it takes forever to fill up. Otherwise it's great cause you can fit big pots and pans in it to wash.
We went to my sister's house earlier. She made supper and we had cake. Then at the end of the evening we did some karaoke. H wanted to sing the entire time, although she doesn't really know the words to anything, lol.
I think we are going to attempt church this morning, then I'd like to do some more trim painting. I have the laundry, one hallway and our master bath to do. Other than that, and putting fresh mulch down right before the photographer comes, I think we'll have done just about all we can do. Now just waiting on new carpet and window glass to arrive and be installed, and the light fixture for the entry hall to come so DH can hang it.
We are going to my parents' for dinner tonight so at least I don't have to cook 😁 My dad, my H and BIL are going to the Bahamas to fish this week so I think we're going to celebrate DH's birthday tonight. I'm going to sneak out and get a cake. 35! He is treating himself to a new fly rod so I'm off the hook for gifts.
LizInFL I'm curious about your house, it must be a decoraters dream, would you be willing to share some pics ☺️?
ETA plus happy birthday to your H! Sounds like a fun night is planned!
Haha! I love certain things about it but it's by no means perfect--as we've re-done and updated we've made decisions knowing it's not our long-term house. We just ran out of time here, but the last thing I really wanted to do was gut our master bath; it's fine but very builder-grade. It has so much potential, though I'll share some pics once every thing is done!
Morning! Thanks for the birthday wishes! The birthday girl woke up a bit crabby but hopefully it's short lived. Today is birthday party day so once I get up in a little bit it will be go go go until 6 probably.
DD's doctor called yesterday that the strep test they sent out came back positive. I wish the one she had 8 days ago had done that so she didn't have to suffer another week. My sister did the polar bear plunge fundraiser for the special Olympics yesterday and broke her leg.
On the plus side, DS's team is headed to the finals for hockey next weekend after a 5-4 win this morning. We have another game this afternoon but separate from that playoff.
Busy week as usual coming up, basketball every night this week plus taking all 3 kids to the dentist tomorrow.
Hi all! We squeezed in a quick trip to the grocery store before DH took off for the wake. We had Col's friend's party and both boys are sleeping right now.
So today's party made me kind of sad. Colin is so clearly an introverted kid, he's just off in his own world even when he's surrounded. These kids weren't his closest friends - he's more present with those kids - but still... I hated being introverted growing up, I still don't love it. I hope he doesn't hate it.
No, she broke it walking onto the beach. She went down a ramp and thought it lead right to the sand but there was a step she didn't see. She still did the plunge then went to urgent care this morning and found out her fibia was broken. She has to see an ortho tomorrow to find out how long she's in the cast. She has 3 boys and it's her right leg so she can't drive.
Hi all. I just woke up from a glorious nap. So nice.
We went to brunch today with my sisters family and had the absolute worst service I've ever experienced. Ever. It seemed like we were being pranked. What makes it so weird is that dh and I know the server. The couple times I've met her, she's never been overly friendly, but this was a whole new level. Like she had to either be on something or having the worst day of her life. We had to ask another server for our check and paid it right in front of her and she didn't acknowledged us. It was so. Weird.
DH got home from the wake about an hour earlier than expected. Couldn't have come a moment too soon - Chase started melting down around 5:30 and never really got it together. That kiddo is so miserable.
Watching Talking Dead after TWD. Anyone else watch tonight?
We had a nice day today. Weather was in the upper 60s and gorgeous. After church we got a few things done around the house, then went over to my parents' for dinner and an early birthday celebration for DH. While my mom and I were putting C's jammies on her, C rolled from back to front about 90% of the way (couldn't quite figure out what to do with her bottom arm). She was so tickled with herself, which was super cute, but I am just not ready for her to be old enough to do this sort of thing!
Hey everyone! Thanks so much for the sweet birthday wishes for Charlie and for thinking of me even though I haven't been around in so long. I'm so sorry I disappeared! Life hit a chaotic patch and got super crazy and I wasn't able to keep up here, so I sort of gave up. Overall, we are doing really well. Charlie has been sick recently, but otherwise she is such a sweet, happy girl and I can't believe she is already a year old. Maggie is bubbling over with personality and imagination and definitely keeps us on our toes at all times. Work is the same old thing, as busy as ever, except that I have been working more night shifts the past several months, which makes a weird, complicated schedule that much more interesting. DH and I went on a very much needed little vacation ski trip with some friends to Park City, UT two weeks ago and had a blast. He had a little incident and cut his thigh on his ski, so we had an urgent care rendezvous for 30 stitches, but otherwise our trip was amazing. I have been really trying to prioritize exercising and going to the gym, and I feel so much better. That's about it as far as updates on me and my crew. What about everyone else? What are the highlights that I missed in the past several months? I have missed you ladies and hope everyone has been well! Will y'all have me back? Hopefully I can keep up again!
Thanks again ladies for the birthday wishes. I can't believe where the year has gone, I want my tiny little squish back! It's crazy, I had a string with all of S's monthly pictures all lined up. The size difference from 3 to 4 months is massive. She had a huge growth spurt. She got some fun gifts and seemed to really enjoy her smash cake. In other, sort of related news I'm pretty sure I've got pelvic girdle pain. After wearing tight jeggings all day my right hip hurt so bad and I could hardly walk. I think I need to contact my doctor about it. I mean by 12m postpartum my pelvis shouldn't feel this loose. Anyways, here are a couple of pics of the birthday girl.
LizInFL We didn't watch tonight. Hopefully we'll be able to tomorrow. Was it good?
Yes, it was good. You see a lot of Eugene this episode. And Negan continues to prove he is a BAMF (i have never used that term before...) that is not to be messed with. But he's still weirdly engaging and likable in his sadistic-ness?
