Good morning ladies! We have no plans today! We are thinking about going to the mall to get G's foot measured again. I think her toes are getting close to the edge of her sneakers. They grow so fast! Today is supposed to be in the upper 50's so we may go to the park too. It's going to get cold tomorrow so I want her to go outside while she can.

I'm trying not to be in a pissy mood. But dh ugh! I'm having trouble articulating my emotions.
DH told me he is going to the baseball home opener. I don't care about baseball but I said wow it must be nice to just plan to go somewhere without having to worry about where the kids will be. He said "why don't you come with me?" Lol ok dh. We have 2 kids who will need met at the bus stop and 1 kid who doesn't go to school.
He also has a business trip coming up to a very nice weather location. I said I was jealous. He again said "well I told you to come with me".
Is he really that dense? Or is he just being an ass. I just feel like I am glued to the kids and he has the freedom to just get up and go. I realize it's a business trip but still.
Sorry for the rambling! ! I just needed to vent. He just doesn't get even 7 years into this parenting thing.

That would definitely rub me the wrong way as well. Id read it as being very inconsiderate/flippant of our roles as parents if my H acted this way.

Like, I feel like I would be less pissed if he would just admit that it's true. Ya know? I'm a sahm so I don't get to "take a day off" and go to a ball game.

I had to go and buy G new shoes. She moved up a size. I suspected as much. We have some sandals in the next size up that my friend had given me that were her daughters but we had no sneakers. We also bought her new socks and New stuffed animal because she loves it.
hotcoconuts82, girl, just plan a day for yourself on a Saturday and just be like "I'm going out for breakfast and getting my hair done and then going to a movie. Here's your kids. Bye."
They're seriously don't get being tethered to a kid at all times. Like it will take weeks of planning for me to get a haircut, and I usually end up having to use vacation time from work because heaven forbid I do anything after 5pm other than make dinner and take care of our kid.
Take matters into your hands, treat yo self, and maybe after having a day in your shoes it will click for him, like oh hey, what do you know, these kids don't take care of themselves.
@hotcoconuts82 that is really annoying... I kinda had a similar situation with MH the other day. I said exactly the same thing to him..: must be nice to be able to get up and go wherever you want without having to worry about where your daughter is!! He also self-proclaims "alone time" all the time... he'll just decide he's gonna go upstairs and read or relax and watch tv or go wherever while I'm always on child-care duty. Part of that is my own fault for not doing that myself, but he has such an easier time being able to do so.
It's so beautiful out again today!! I went to the outlet mall nearby with N and my little sister since it's so warm and sunny. N had a blast, but then fell asleep in the car ride home. So I'm currently sitting on my porch in the sunshine while N is napping in the car (windows down, air on)... this is the first nap all week that she hasn't napped on me since she's been sick, and it's glorious
Someone please tell me how to get my kid to stop combing her hair with her fork between bites.
When you find out, let me know. G has started doing this too. I thought maybe she picked it up from the little mermaid but then I realize she has never really watched that movie. She has only had it on in the background.

Yeah, M's never seen any of it so apparently this in innate knowledge. I don't understand. It's so gross.
DS was supposed to have his first swim lesson today but he is sick instead. I was really looking forward to it so I'm bummed plus I have a sick, grumpy toddler.

Aw, sorry. That sucks. It always seem to happen like that.

I have been checking the live cam of that giraffe that is in labor. It's been 4 days and I have not seen a baby giraffe appear. Did I miss it? She still looks like there is a baby giraffe in there but maybe I am judging her post baby body too harshly. I dunno because I don't know much about giraffes.

Omg this is probably what's next in my world. Especially because I usually comb and put up her hair during breakfast. Currently she just hikes her pants to her knee and rubs her food, bowl, or fork on her leg....like what the actual fuck are you doing kid??
Hahaha. That is also weird. The combing her hair with her fork is in addition to rubbing her meal all over the rest of her body. Good times.
So my kid must be getting her 2 year molars or something. She keeps sticking her hand back there and saying 'teeth owie'. During dinner she stuck her hand so far back she made herself throw up...that was fun.
Ugggh. Yeah, that sucks so bad. I hate these f-ing molars.

ugh that's awful! We've been working on our 2yr molars for a while now and those damn things are taking their sweet time!!!
