Hi! Hello!
So DS2 has actually slept pretty well that 2 nights. Friday night he slept 9 to 7 with only one wake up. Last night he slept 8:30 - 7 with two wake ups. This is a huge improvement over the 4+ wake ups we were having. I go back to work on Wednesday, so I hope this keeps up.
Speaking of going back to work, I'm struggling with that. Basically, I have a job to help pay the bills but I want to be a SAHM more than anything. It's just not an option for us unless MH can find a job that pays a significant amount more and also has great benefits (I hold the insurance for myself and the boys, if MH added all of us to his the monthly premiums would be more than our mortgage).
I think I'm also having a hard time because in just the last week I had 5 people I know quit their jobs to stay at home, and all I can think about it how badly I wish I could do the same.
And of course the fact that this baby still isn't taking a bottle isn't really helping here either.
Ugh, sorry for the word vomit. I just needed to get that out.
jubilantsquirrel Hang in there, things change all the time and you never know what's in store right around the corner. Is your job one that you could do remotely on a part time basis? WFH I barely get anything done but managing to hang in there enough to keep my job - I try to do things when they're napping or playing or when H gets home etc.
tgrimes1980 What is a dream feed technically? I think that's what AV does but it's a bottle so not sure that really counts. She doesn't "wake up" to eat overnight she wakes up just enough to get the nipple in her mouth and then sleeps while drinking. Problem is that sometimes I fall asleep too and wake up ten minutes later freaked out that something could've happened. Edit to add, we cosleep so she's either in my arms or right next to me eating upright

kleigh, my job can absolutely be done remotely part time. Unfortunately the senior director doesn't "trust us to get our work done while in the office, so there's no way she'd let us work from home". At least that's what we were told when my team asked about working from home a couple days a week. Which is bullshit, honestly.
jubilantsquirrel I'm glad you're getting some better sleep but sorry you're struggling with going back to work. C has also been a pretty stubborn bottle refuser but my mom finally got two bottles in her last weekend, and ever since C has been fine with it--it's like she finally figured it out. My mom typed out her 'method' and tips and sent it to me in case I needed a refresher; I'd be happy to pass it along to you if you're interested.

Yes, please!
MH tries every day to give him a bottle but he either screams the whole time or just plays with the nipple.
My MIL and GMIL have come out a few times to try and get him to take a bottle (they're the ones who will be watching both kids when I go back to work). They had some success a couple weeks ago, it took GMIL 2 hours but DS2 finally took a couple of ounces. They came out last week and tried for 4 hours, but he wouldn't take anything.
It's frustrating too because he had no problem taking a bottle for about a month, then suddenly at the end of January he just decided that the bottle wasn't for him and stared refusing to take one.
The kids were perfect angels for MH while I was out today, and D took a bottle from him! Hallelujah!!
DS just woke up from a monster nap (3.5+ hours!!) and D has been down for almost 2. Who are these babies?
As soon as baby girl wakes up we're going to my ILs' house for dinner to celebrate H's birthday. I'm looking forward to seeing her; I feel like I spent no time with her today!

But I'm open to any and all suggestions!
That is exactly what happened with C. I gave her her first bottle within a week of getting home from the hospital and she did fine for the first month or so, then just stopped. So frustrating.
I'll pm you my mom's tips...it may be all stuff y'all have tried--if so I'm sorry!--but I'll cross my fingers on the off chance there's something new that may help.

tgrimes1980 the dream feed is an interesting concept but O is such a lite sleeper that the second I touch him he wakes up. Before you explained I imagined myself dangling my boob over the side of the crib lol
