really? The thorns deter most of the birds around here. I've had more if a problem with them on my blueberry bushes and elderberry bushes.
We've also used old soup cans or tin pie pans and mylar balloons. Anything shiny and loud that will move with the wind will scare them away. Also Netting.
Yes. We have a few bushes and I check them everyday, I'm lucky to get a half dozen! I never remember to buy netting.
My mom got netting for her blueberries, but a few birds got tangled and died so she took it all down. I'm not a gardener so I have no idea how common this is.
Anyone have a humidifier they like? I have one in the baby's room, but it holds a small amount of water and seems to turn off quickly. We are all super Irish-American and need to be watered all winter.
We have a whole house humidifier. Have you considered getting one since it's a need for your family throughout an entire season? H & my kids are Irish so I understand the necessity.
I hadn't ever heard of these. Something to consider!
Baby is finally asleep. The swelling on her face is almost all gone, it was pretty bad. Don't think I'll forget about her allergy again! Also put some zyrtec in the car bag so we will always have some on hand
We have talked about doing a small garden, but have no idea where to start.
If you're just starting out you can start with buying already grown starters instead of buying seeds and then transplant them into a garden bed or just keep putting them in larger individual pots as they grow.
I'm so ready for spring to start but it's still snowing up my way 😪
I talked H into letting me get more berry bushes! I'm finally getting my golden raspberry bushes. And some red raspberry bushes along with a few more blueberry bushes. We're also going to try some new variety of strawberries as ours have been doing pretty poorly the past couple of years.
Blueberries are our #1 fruit success. They produce a ton and need little work. We have strawberries growing under the blue berries , but they are a lot more work and draw a lot more bugs.
How long did it take your blueberry bushes to be productive? We moved into our house last summer and we have 2 young bushes that aren't that productive. I'm hoping this year they will produce.
I can't believe that giraffe still hasn't had the baby, I've been hearing about this for days.
The giraffe isn't actually in active labor according to her keepers...the media has hyped it as such. She is just like any other pregnant mama at the end of her pregnancy. Desperately waiting for any signs of real labor to get that 150lb calf out of her. Poor thing!

That's kind of what we were thinking, buying some starters at a local place.
I wish one of you could come and tell me what the heck is growing in the 14 garden beds we are now caretakers of. Also a pumpkin patch. And two trellises. Trelli?

depends on the type of bushes. Do you know what you have? We have liberty blueberries which aren't big producers. Ours took 3 yrs. But they were also double transplanted.
I'm not sure what we have since they were already there when we moved in.

Yea I would do that. Buy some starters of veggies you love that way you'll be more into planting.

I'm halfway through season 3. Not sure where to watch season 4.
Unlocked Firestick?
If you are looking for a device that offers up the best balance, however, it would likely be Amazon’s Fire Stick. The hardware is solid, the UI is stable and its price is inoffensive. Sure, it may not be as all-singing, all-dancing as Apple's TV, but very user-friendly. Here www.firestickhow.com/jailbreak-firestick.html you can find a step by step guide on how to jailbreak it with no issues. I personally enjoy using Firestick wh no issues daily
