We're they totally ruined? I leave most fruit out on the counter but not if they are already sliced... that's such a bummer. I lost my wallet in the freezer once. Why do these things happen?
Yeah they were out of the fridge for a day and a half, and kinda borderline over-ripe to begin with. So I didn't want to chance it. This is probably the stupidest pregnancy-brain thing I've done.
Speaking of dumb pregnancy brain things… I got DS out of the car last night after work and put my keys in the backseat while I got him out of the car seat. And there they stayed until I couldn't find them this morning. Oops!
So I had asked yesterday in a post (that apparently I never posted) what carseat everyone has decided on? I'm pretty set on another Chicco Keyfit. I loved it with my others.

I have done this before. And then got in the car the next day, assuming they were in my bag, drove to work (I have the push-button start so the keys just have to be in the car somewhere) and ended up leaving my car unlocked with the keys in it all day long.

So we hired a new girl at work. She's a smoker. And she reeks. Like I can't even sit in the same room as her coat. How am I supposed to get any work done???

The strawberry saga continues. Went to lunch today, and the sign said there are fresh strawberries and whipped cream on the salad bar! I'm like "the Lord has heard my prayers!"

We are planning on a keyfit also. Had one last time (8years ago) and loved it!

babywisherxxjen015MissSally which stroller is the keyfit compatible with? Is there anything in particular that can be compatible as well as convertible as baby gets older? We're trying to figure everything out and we really didn't want to have to get more than one of things just because the baby's growing.
Is Anyone planning to take birthing classes? I did for my first and loved it. It helped so much.
I'm thinking about it. There is a free hypnobirthing class in town. You pay $275 if you want the materials but free for just the class. I just did a ton of reading and hypnobirthing stuff on my own with DS and I did fine but I would like to have all the tools and information possible to have a "calm and smooth labor and birth" (quote from one of the corny hypnobirthing tracks.)
It's getting to midterms time so I have tests to study for and two papers to start writing. Don't feel up for it at all. I want a nap instead!
I hear you there! I'm not taking any classes but it's evaluation season for me...I spend all day giving standardized assessments and then I come home to write the reports. But baby wants the couch! And TV! And all the junk food!!

We're using a keyfit also (still good from DS). We bought a bundle with the car seat and it came with the Chicco Cortina stroller. It's an alright stroller. I wish it had better storage and larger cup holders, but it gets the job done.
We looked at the Bravo stroller with the keyfit. But then we also looked at the Graco 4ever all-in-one which looks awesome for like 2 years old and up but it's also supposed to fit infants as well? We'd love to get the biggest bang for our buck but I'm kinda thinking maybe get the Chicco travel system for the infant carrier and stroller and then the Graco convertible seat for when baby's transitioning to toddler? It's all pretty overwhelming to know what's best to have and invest in as a first time mom 🤦♀️

Chicco Keyfit came in second in my car seat decision. I got the UPPAbaby MESA in the end but Keyfit had some good features.
If it was compatible with my stroller I did really like the Graco Click connect 35.
Sidebar: Diono is releasing a new infant bucket seat called the Radius. Looks interesting.

If you want a bucket seat that will last longer the Graco Click connect 35 and Britax Bsafe have higher limits than the Chicco. They are both excellent seats. There are many convertible car seats that are great from birth but the convenience of the bucket in the first few months is invaluable to me. When buying a convertible (or bucket for that matter) always try before you buy. Not all seats fit in all cars or with all passengers.
The Chicco is compatible with so so many strollers. You just have to get an adapter but they are easy to find used. I would choose the stroller you want first.
Where will you be using the stroller? What type of activities? City, suburb or country?
Knowing some of these factors I can recommend some strollers.

I'm getting the Bravo travel system. But Chicco has a few different stroller options. I like this one because it has so many ways to use it. So cool! It wasn't around last time. You can use it as a snap-n-go when they're an infant, and then there is a normal stroller for when they get big enough to sit on their own. If you just google different Chicco systems, you'll see all of the compatible ones. Also just visit a Babies R Us and see how the different ones work/feel.

We're in a suburb so we don't do much walking on a daily basis. A stroller would definitely be moreso for family outings and shopping and things of that nature. Granted working for a school and being due in July I'm definitely gonna try to take advantage of my summer off with baby to get outside a bit!! I foresee a lot of walking in the park and things like that if it's not too too hot.
So I had asked yesterday in a post (that apparently I never posted) what carseat everyone has decided on? I'm pretty set on another Chicco Keyfit. I loved it with my others.
I'm using my Graco Click Connect 35 again. The Chicco doesn't have a high enough weight/ height limit for my liking.
My kid has been at the top of the charts his whole life. He would have outgrown the Chicco by 9 months. My friend loves hers, but her kids are more average size.
because he was so big/heavy we moved DS to a convertible seat around 7 months but still used the Infant car seat when I went out with my SIL and she picked us up.
JoBub that totally sucks. It's bad enough when you don't take the time to slice them up and all.
I know! Every time I buy strawberries they end up going bad in the fridge because we don't eat them fast enough. So this time I made a point to wash and slice them immediately so that wouldn't happen, and I was so looking forward to snacking on them all week.
Pro tip: soak them in vinegar water for 10 minutes. They don't taste any differently but stay fresh much longer.
AmazingTulip what kind of SUV are you looking at?? I switched a year and a half ago from a teeny little Elantra to a 4Runner, and it was the best life choice. I love my 4Runner sososo much.
Honda Pilot or Toyota Highlander. The Pilot has more room in the 3rd row compared to the Highlander. Enough that an adult could sit comfortably back there. But, if I want the 2nd row captain's chairs then I have to get the most expensive trim on the Pilot which shoots the price up a lot higher than the Highlander.
We just bought a Highlander with the captains chairs a few months ago because we will basically have 3u3 and needed more space than my Outback. I freakin love it!

We bought a keyfit for this baby after having a Britax b-safe for the other 2. It's the only one that will fit 3 across in my IL's car, and they are childcare one day a week so that was essential. I'm excited for it, we love our Chicco nextfits!

We got the Bravo travel system. I figure we'll use the infant carrier until he's old enough to easily and comfortably sit up in shopping carts, then I'll transition to a convertible car seat and continue using the stroller. We bought two of the car seats, one from a friend who kept it looking brand spanking new. She didn't want to part with the stroller because she liked it so much. We played with it in store and it's so easy to fold up, click the infant carrier into, etc.

That was my thought process too, get the Bravo system and use the carrier when she's itty bitty and then continue with the stroller but start a convertible car seat when she's too big for the carrier.
