So many people tell me I'm brave for taking all three girls out of the house by myself. No, I'm not. I'm a little crazy and sometimes I like to torture myself. Actually, I'm just living life and I happen to have three kids that go along with me.
Solidarity! What do they expect? Us to sit at home all day? This has been one of the most annoying things about having twins. This and that everyone assumes the E and A are a girl and boy.
The default for mine seems to be two boys. I guess I don't use enough pink, frills, and dresses.

Z can be in all pink and they'll ask if they're two boys.

Tell me if any of you BTDT moms have experienced this...I'm just about 36 weeks and my skin is on fire. Literally I feel like my belly is burning from the inside out I assume because it's stretched so tight. . It's so bad I can't sleep at night. Last night I took a shower at like 2am hoping the hot water would help. Am I crazy? My OB seems to think I'm crazy.

Nope. Not crazy. That was me. The itching turned to burning towards the end. Coconut oil and cool showers helped me. And Benadryl to help me sleep. It didn't touch the itching and burning, but it did knock me out.

Yes exactly!!! The intense itching went away and became fire. I could handle the itching. The burning had me in tears. I tried a heat pad and a hot shower and neither helped. Tonight I'll try cool instead. A tight shirt seemed to help a tiny bit. I just need to be able to fall asleep and then I'll be ok. Now that I'm up and moving for the day I feel better. So I might also try sleeping in the recliner.
I'm glad I'm not crazy tho. My OB literally just shrugged when I said I was burning from the inside out.

I've found that eczema creams with oatmeal help with my burning dry skin. Also Honest makes a healing balm that does wonders for Z's eczema and helps me a lot.

Cold! Go with cool showers , warm epsom salt soak (15 minutes max and drink tons of water), lots of moisturizer. Is there a rash? Just your belly? Do you have a boy in there? PUPPPS sucks and your OB shouldn't be looking at you like you're crazy, it's pretty common. If no rash and your hands and soles of your feet itch, I'd be calling them back and asking about cholestasis which can become very serious, very quickly.
My kids are sick. We're supposed to leave for 3 nights for the first time since they were born this afternoon. I NEED this trip. Tell me I'm not the worst mom?

It's just my belly that burns. Specifically one spot. Thinmy hands and feet itch as well and I asked about ICP and kind of got shrugged off. That was the OB and he's kind of not the most diligent dr I've ever had so I'm going to ask my MFM about that as well. I drink my weight in water and use coconut oil religiously. And there's no boys in there. I think the burning is really just my skin being stretched way too tight over Baby B.

So W ran a fever all night that has gone down but is still persistent. This is the sickest this poor child has ever been- she was chasing me around the house sobbing as I was packing (and I cried too!). She has NEVER been a mama's girl. We snuggled up on the couch and she fell asleep and we RAN out the door. She was fine, my sister is my hero, I'm sipping coffee overlooking a lake, about to go for a massage. Do yourselves a favor and do not wait until you are at your wits end to take a day for yourself!
Today is momsmart and I'm excited for all the shopping I'll be able to do and I'm hoping it'll be paid for in the end. I'm also getting some time out by myself (I'm taking a couple of hours of vacation time to do this) and I'm working tomorrow (so more time to myself) while MIL, SIL and her GF and in town to help H watch the babies. He may even take them all out somewhere.
Along those lines, I am active in my local MOTA chapter and there is a mom's retreat at the end of the month (read: wine and spa weekend). I booked my hotel for one night. The babies will be almost 5 months and MH is (hopefully) a capable father. I CANNOT WAIT! I AM GOING TO HAVE ALL THE WINE!!!
Thanks - I am really excited!! I think it was here that someone mentioned that drinking/going out at night is fun and all, but it's really the morning after that I need a babysitter for. This is my chance!
@feegan R has been having epic meltdowns for no apparent reason. During one of them tonight he also stuffed his mouth full of bread while he was screaming and damn near choked. 😑
