We have the City Miny GT double. Great at the zoo. It fits through all of the doorways. Plus there's no kicking the person in front of you and both kids can see.
That's why I'm leaning towards side by side, I can see A being annoyed that she cant see...
She would be able to see the bucket seat infant. After that, a side by side also means pinching and fighting, lol...
Side by sides can be hard to push with kids of different ages because of the weight difference. We got a front to back, not a fancy one though, and that thing is a bitch to turn. I'm sure the higher end models are better. Gave up and just got a second stroller. H and I just each take a kid when we're out.

This was why I splurged for the GT tires vs the hard plastic ones. I remember seeing something about how it's easier to push/turn because of the weight being distributed better.

I found the 2017 Britax double on AlbeeBaby for $360. It even notes that it is not part of the recall.
I also use two strollers as often as possible. So much easier. I only use the double when I'm alone which, for me, is rare. So for me, I only wanted to spend $100-$150 versus a huge purchase. I'm also hoping DS1 will start choosing to walk the zoo, etc instead of ride.

DS sits in the stroller, but likes to be in and out, so I'd rather the sit and stand for that reason. I always take my carrier as well, so either child can be in the carrier.

Hi all! Had C's 2 month appt this morning, she's in 90th percentile for height and weight, so different from N who was always in the 50th. Anyway, becole you were right and she has thrush I feel awful for not taking her in sooner but I just didn't think of it bc I've not had any symptoms myself. Anyway, we've got medication and will hopefully get it cleared up soon, I just feel like moty over here.

vlagroupie sorry about the thrush. Don't feel bad, I wouldn't have known either! It's good that you caught it before it caused any problems with nursing.
I don't plan on getting a double stroller. DS will be 3 when this baby comes, and he doesn't ride in the stroller much anyway. We have 2 strollers we can take if we all go somewhere, and if I'm by myself I plan to wear the baby. When I think of double strollers, I imagine myself pushing a double stroller with one baby in it chasing DS who is running away because he doesn't want to be buckled in.

It probably explains why she has been pulling off sometimes while nursing and she was doing more frequent and shorter nursing sessions. I should have trusted my gut and taken her in sooner, I felt like something was a little off. But she was gaining weight and having wet diapers so I figured I was overreacting and that the white on her tongue was milk. Anyway, moral of the story, trust your mom intuition!

^^all of this! I imagine N wouldn't want to stay in it either, she barely gets in a stroller now as it is. I do wish I had the option to put one of those standing boards on my city mini but I don't think I have that option.

Also we need to put out a call for a doctor, preferably a pedi for the group! Anyone out there?? becole is my official LC since she's seen my boobs as many times as the actual LC lol. Really, you ladies are the bomb and help ease my anxious parenting mind, love ya!

I don't mind seeing boobies. Happy to help. I hope she gets better quickly. I know mother love sold a specific cream for thrush but I also read the normal nipple cream helps prevent it as well. Keep yourself dry too- air dry after feeding.
Also vlagroupie did they mention to give her probiotic drops? It's a yeast imbalance so this should help. I had a mild case with DS1 on my nips but it went away with keeping it dry and taking probiotics. They were bright pink - hot pink color- and I would get stabbing pains. Those were the only symptoms.

I've been using the regular motherlove nip cream might look into the thrush one. I'm taking diflucan 1x per week for 3 weeks. I also take a probiotic daily. The pedi didn't mention probiotic for baby. But I was giving the Gerber one for fussiness until it ran out. Then I read L. Reuteri dissolved in a little bit of water was helpful too. Thanks for all the advice!

Hopefully it's a speedy recovery for you guys
I'm a big fan of just getting help Bf from the get go. Make friends with the LC when you first check in to recovery and ask that they come back as often as they can. Just to have support, someone to talk to, and to say "is this Normal?" Then go home and find an LC that you like in the area and don't hesitate to visit. I think people over think Bf. I definitely did the first time and even this time I was at first. It wasn't until that first appointment where they were like- hey he gained 4 lbs in a month- I was like- oh okay! I'm happy to provide support as much as I can. I don't know much about latch or what to look for, but I can say "you're doing a good job, baby looks healthy, baby is getting everything they need."
