notagoddessloves2shop4shoes You ladies amaze me. I have yet to step on a scale and I'm almost 6 weeks PP. My appointment is next week, though, so that'll be the moment of truth. I feel like I barely lost the 6 pounds that was baby. Once I'm cleared I hope to go to a kickboxing class I was taking last year, at least on days DH is home.

It's really nice out right now, but is supposed to rain again later and then get cold again starting tonight. I need it to be spring. I hate sitting in the house all day. And I feel like DS1 is watching too much tv after daycare. It will be good for all of us when we can spend more time outside being active.

Well DH told me to go nap. So I did for 3 glorious hours. I feel so much better. I also just gave my Scotty-poo a TERRIBLE haircut. Sorry, I'm not sorry pup. She needed one and I can't figure out when we are going to make it to the groomers. It'll grow back out and they can make her look less scrappy then. Both boys are content, I'm drinking coffee and I have some matching shirts for them to wear for a picture hopefully later today.

Oh and I forgot. I have effing mastitis again in the opposite boo this time. Yay! Waiting for the nurse's line to call me back and hopefully tell me they can just call antibiotics in for me.

I've been MIA, there just seems like there are not enough hours in the day! My doctor prescribed me Wellbutrin for ppd so I've started that and I have an appt with my therapist tomorrow afternoon. We had a good night last night, about three hours between feeds. We got them to sleep by 830 and we all went to bed. That extra couple hours did wonders for me. Hoping to have that happen again soon! My aunt is here helping today so she helped me with baths. I did them on my own only using her if I needed to. I'm so blessed that my family is really pulling together to help me during the week while DH is working. I truly couldn't do this without them. PPD is no joke and the feelings can come out of nowhere.

I am in my personal hell. Two poopy, hungry, crying small children in a place that isn't home and no place to put them down to deal with one or the other. Fuuuuuckkkkkk
We're an hour away from home to get S's hips checked- ultrasound appt in one location and then the follow up with her orthopedic pediatrician some place else with an hour to kill in between. And I'm on my own because H is back at work. I may have just bribed a half hour of peace from G by giving her french fries. Yep, mom of the year right here.
At this point, I just hope they both sleep in the car on the way home and nap once there so I can have a meltdown in the shower.
ls2012 if bribing tiny humans with French fries (or donuts or fruit snacks or...) is wrong, then I have no interest in being right. Take a deep breath. You can handle this. Change their diapers in your trunk or on your front seat. And get yourself some fries!
I also weighed myself yesterday and I'm down 28lbs. 13 more to my pre-pregnancy weight...which was like 14lbs over where I was at my best.
Also props to those working out...I have visions of tucking my new stomach flap into my jeans for the rest of my life and it's scary.
AFM, both girls were awake from 8:55-11:55am. It took a cumulative 9oz of formula and lots of cuddles for them to go back to sleep. After As guacamole colored poop last night, E had a camo green colored poop. The pedi said it was fine so long as it's not black or bloody but suggested we take their temps. DH has to go get rectal thermometers today.
Also, DH and I are in a debate. We have friends that want to visit this weekend and are bringing their 2.5 year old who is in daycare. I told DH no because the girls are tiny and too young for a germy kid in daycare...dh keeps asking what we would do if we had an older kid but we don't, so we get to control the situation. Sorry, not sorry.

I'll give it a try. The pain started only yesterday. I was pretty numb before then. On the upside it's been like 4 consecutive days that I haven't peed myself...
My hemorrhoid is freaking killing me. I can't sit normally and the pain kept me up last night. I'm using Tucks pads but is there anything stronger I can use if I'm still trying to heal the stitches?
My doc was able to prescribe a cocaine/epinephrine/lanolin ointment that you dab on. I have also used a lidocaine cream you can pick up at the store. One of the best things I got was a sitz bath. Just fill the little basin with warm water, set it in the toilet, and submerge your ouchy parts for a few minutes each day. It really does help shrink down all the swollen bits. You can get in a warm bath as well, but it may be too difficult at this point in your recovery. Hope you get some relief soon!

That was me. But come to find out the burn was because the cream was getting on my stitches! So avoid that.
DS slept terribly last night but DH took him for a good chunk so I was able to sleep; which is nice because he was called in to work to deal with a discipline issue with a subordinate. DD1 is having serious listening regression since DS was born which I did not expect. DD2 seems off today. I can't tell if it's teeth or if she's getting an ear infection. DS is happily sleeping in his bassinet right now which is a relief since the last couple days I've had to hold him all morning.
I need the kids to sort themselves out because DH is heading an overnight with his crew to repair a dilapidated Legion building this Friday/Saturday. He better not get called in to work Thursday so I can sleep all day in preparation to survive.

Man, you must see the special doc.
I was going to say you should have seen my hemorrhoids, but I take that back! She called it "crack for your crack" haha.
I'm down 30 lbs but have 30 to go. I'm still have swelling in my feet and legs. I want to work out but am going to wait for my 6 week post c section appt
I can't even think about exercising post partum lol. I will probably start thinking about it like mid March once my body no longer feels like it's been hit by a truck lol. I have to keep reminding myself that I'm only 4 days pp today.
Thank god we're home. Both girls screamed the entire car ride home just as it started sleeting, so that was fun. Now to get S fed while G watches pbs, then get them both to nap.
The next hour til DH gets home cannot go quickly enough.

Yeah, you're still in the "it hurts to sit down phase." No thinking about exercise for at least a few weeks. Afm: I want to start excersing but I'll probably wait at least another week or so (currently 16 days pp) and I'll start very slow. First of all, I refuse to exercise while still wearing a pad. Wearing pads is the worst and so gross. But I should be able to stop wearing them in the next day or two.
Just got back from double check ups for DS and LO. LO is 10lbs5oz! I need her to fit into her Easter dress in 6 weeks, so if she'd like to slow down a bit that would be great!
I can't take all 4 kids in at the same time per clinic policy. They only allow two consecutive appointments per family. 😧
Exercise will wait until L&M can go into YMCA childwatch at 6 weeks. For now, chasing and hauling four kids will do. I'm antsy to do something more organized and targeted to PP rehab. The c-section incision and possible extra stretching because STM makes me leary of doing too much too soon.

NST went ok, but baby's heart rate was lower than it has been, so they sent us for a BPP later, which she passed in 10 minutes. And her heart rate was back up. I'm now 3 cm dilated (so at least I know the contractions I had Sunday were real!), and she offered to do a membrane sweep for me. So we shall see if it does anything. Those are really uncomfortable!
I have another NST and appointment for Monday, which I hope we won't need, but we'll schedule an induction at that point if baby still hasn't come.
In the middle of all this I got a call that my great grandma is in the hospital. It looks like she has congestive heart failure. They're doing more tests, but I'm having a hard time feeling optimistic. She's always telling me that she hopes she'll be here to see the baby, but I've always brushed it off, because she's always been in such good health for a 98-year-old. Now I'm starting to worry she won't actually be here to see the baby.

I've walked 1-2 miles most days since 5 days postpartum. It feels amazing when I do it but I have a lot of pain and bleeding after. I can't wait until I'm more fully healed and the weather is warmer. Those walks were awesome for my mental health.
+1 to only checking weight loss out of curiosity. I have zero effort to put towards weight loss at this point. Figuring out breastfeeding and baby care is pretty much all-consuming. But I'm looking forward to a good workout in the future,

I have to get cleared by a physiotherapist before I'm ok to exercise according to my midwife. My diastis recti is so far separated from 2 close together babies that I was a high hernia risk all through my pregnancy. Still wearing my belly band to strap it all in to place. I wanted to join a pelvic floor yoga class run by this physiotherapist, but it starts this week and she said that's too soon so I have an individual assessment with her this week to see where I'm at. On the plus side, my incontinence seems back under control already which is faster than with DD2.
