TTC since July 2014. CP March 2015. IVF #1 March 2016, 5R, 3M, 2F with ICSI. Transferred 2 on day 3. CP. Surprise BFP and then CP August 2016 (prep cycle for IVF). IVF #2: zero eggs retrieved IVF #3: 6R, 5M, 5F, 3 (2 8A and 1 11A) transferred, one "B" graded embryo frozen on day 5. BFP (at home 7dp3dt, confirmed 14dp3dt with 1552 beta) and U/S at 5w5d, 2 sacs and 2 yolks!
Today I'm clearing random shit from around the house, anything I can see. We did a bonus bag yesterday, clearing out a part of the pantry storage. We are actually getting one of those Bagster things this weekend to fill for the trash guys to come take away at some point during the next month. I'm so excited!!

I have a huge bag of DD'S clothes that I took out of her drawers last night. I'm getting all her clothes together and my BFFs are going to help.me go through her clothes. They'll take what they want, then I'll either consign the great stuff and donate the rest.
Tomorrow I'm going to work on my pantry and kitchen. I think there's a lot I can trash or donate.
I will have to look in my closet dresser. There are drawers I rarely even open!
When MH moved in he put a dresser in a room he never goes in...after more than a year he realized there were clothes in it. I tried to get him throw everything out...I mean he didn't even know he had those clothes for more than a year!! But...alas...he did not (he saw it more like he had found a treasure trove of "new" clothes 🙄)

Ooooh I should do fridge today bc tomorrow is trash day. Maybe I'll do an extra bag today to get rid of the 1000 bottles of old dressing and other "treasures" hidden in the fridge.

Getting my H to get rid of clothes is so hard. He literally has shirts from 15-20 years ago.

Ha, yeah...mine proudly told me that the tshirt he was wearing yesterday was what he was wearing in his senior high photo. It's not even his shirt, he stole it from his best friend. And...he doesn't like getting rid of other things bc he says he saw The Brave Little Toaster too much and thinks inanimate objects have feelings. 🙄🙄 really...he's just lazy.

I do a no purge everytime I move. So I've been good at not keeping a lot of clutter. I'll get rid of a lot more this next move. It feels so good!
I hate clutter. It makes me uncomfortable.
I used to move so much, I did a much better job of purging. But I've been here for seven years...and MH moved in with SO much shit three-ish years ago and we've never recovered. But we have a tiny cape house, two big dogs, and two babies coming...we finally have a really good reason to clear the clutter!

Mine is funny because he has a certain number of hangers and if he gets something new it is to replace what he has on the hangers. So he never has too many clothing items. I make up for it ...

I think we all have the same H. I finally have gotten mine to get rid of all of the clothes he took to college from high school. His mindset is a thrifty one: If they don't have holes and aren't horribly out of shape or discolored, he'll wear them. I finally had to convince him he's a doctor and has the means and responsibility to look decent.
He also has no sense of style, so shopping for clothes frustrates him.

Same here, but we don't move often. H has already started making a list in his head of things we won't be moving to the next place. For example, we'll use the waffle iron he stole from college and he'll say, "This isn't coming with us!" At this point it's funny.
I started working on our office/second bedroom yesterday. We threw a ton of stuff in there while our floors were replaced and everything needs to go back in its spot or be thrown out/donated. Baby's stuff is going in that room, so I'm consolidating and making sure there's room for it.
I've decided our shelving unit (2 Ikea Expedit 4x4s next to each other) will be all for baby storage. Tonight I'm getting more bins from Target (already have some) and moving stuff from the baskets in the shelving unit into the closet. And being more ruthless about what stuff stays in the closet so I can free up space in there as well.
It's a thing that the trash company Waste Management offers (I think other trash services have similar things and you don't have to be a regular customer to get the pick up)...you can fill it with basically anything that fits up to a generous weight limit. It's kind of like a dumpster but slightly more manageable/smaller footprint. It's kind of expensive but nothing like the 1-800-Junk prices (we did it last year, it was great, but $$$).

I did this with our bathroom cabinets over the weekend. So many little sample bottles, expired meds, half-full things I never use, etc. And a whole box of nail polish that's too old so it never dries.
My plan for today is to sort out my shoes and organize them. I have a lot of sandals and flats that are worn out that need to go. And everything is just in a pile on the shoe rack in our room.
moutonrouge - I did our bathroom cabinets last summer and tossed so much! Expired meds, stuff we don't use, things I didn't know were down there. I need to do it again.
I'll join in on the decluttering! I've done some major decluttering in the toy area and book shelves. I already love this thread for giving me ideas of what to tackle next. Like moutonrouge I need to do bathroom closet and shoes. The closet esp since it's open and ppl don't need to see my ept boxes and tampons.
FFFC: I have 3 bags to donate just sitting around for 3+ wks. I need to get them out asap.

I still have 6 full containers of used needles from our IVF under my bathroom sink. Oops. Lol. I just never figured out where I was supposed to take them.
When I did my lovenox injections with DS1, I was able to stick them in the container (which is obviously labeled) and stick the closed box in our trash.
My grandfather is type 1 diabetic and breaks off the needle portion and throws it out (I don't particularly recommend that route since the needle is still in the trash unlabeled)

Yes they're in sharps containers. We are not allowed to put them in our trash. I'm just too lazy to call around and find someplace that will take them.

Ohhhh that's my plan for later this month. I have so many shoes I don't wear any more. So does DD!
I also probably have a bunch of meds I can get rid of. I did go through them a few months ago though, so we'll see.

I have all my sharps and gonal-F pens from my IUIs... my RE recycles the pens for us and disposed of the sharps but I always forgot to bring them to my follow up appointments.
Today I filled a small bag of random papers we've been saving for who knows why...and ordered the bagster bag so we can do a big time clean out over the next couple weeks!

We've been purging as well, or trying to. H has been hard to convince, but he's been going through stuff lately and I am proud. I have a pile of clothes I have to take to the local consignment shop. We really need to purge knick knacks and books, but that is a hard sell.
I'm hoping we'll do a big purge of furniture and such when we move later this year, as we plan to be downsizing square footage-wise. But H has been resistant to that.
I want to do a big yard sale to see what of the knock knacks, books, and extra furniture someone else might want. Anything we can't get rid of that way, we'll donate or throw out. The tricky thing is figuring out how to gather all that stuff in one place until it's warm enough to have one. There's no unused space in the house to move anything to!
