Found Pippi Longstocking on Amazon Prime and am using it to buy extra time in bed this morning while the kids watch it.
I slept in a little and have a headache. I had to kick my dog out of the bedroom for DH since he just got home from work and the dog was "playing too loudly". I really hope my DH gets this promotion and can start working normalish hours!
What are your suggestions for foods gentle on the stomach. After last night my stomach is completely empty and making me feel sick but I'm not really looking forward to eating yet. Give me some basics.
Dry toast, rice, applesauce (I just peeled an apple because I dont like applesauce), and bananas. The brat diet for after stomach bugs. It may help you ease into food again. Soft foods that aren't full of fat are best.

meggos1988 there is another radio button that you have to select what picture you show - it defaults to the standard avatar, so you have to select "uploaded pic" or some such. A lot of people were missing that on the first go-round of members!
caymarks if you really haven't eaten anything and aren't averse to meet right now, my favorite is slowly sipping chicken broth. I always get the lowest sodium I can, and add salt to taste. No noodles or anything, just the broth until I know I can keep it down.
Hugs caymarks I know how crippling anxiety can be.
@justinslovo we saw American Sniper last night. We bought tickets 5 hours earlier and still had to wait in line. It was packed.
I enjoyed it. There were a few times I covered my eyes because I'm not that good with blood, it is a war movie after all. There were definitely some difficult parts with children. I didn't lose it until the end.

I have discovered the Bellvita mini breakfast biscuits. They are really yummy and very light. I ate several (NOT the whole packet) last night after a very bad bout of sickness and I slept all night without nausea (not without DD waking me, but no gagging/puking in the middle).

We have a grown-up game night tonight -- no kids, no one under 18, just ADULTS! DD is going to hang out with my parents, and we are going to have FUN! Settlers of Catan, Pandemic, Ticket to Ride, and SO MUCH FOOD!
Also, I'm so sad that I miss out on so much because of time differences! It's 12.45am here
Ditto! I have been working the the past couple days. So I get to contribute my half asleep input at 430 in the morning, or I get to read what happened at 9-10 pm west coast time. It's all good though. Gives me something to read when I go to bed
Day 3 of 4 in a row. At least today and tomorrow are 8 hour shifts (even though I get much less rest, food, and fluids on these shifts)... I have had light spotting on my 3rd day the last couple times I've done them in a row like this. So praying that doesn't happen today. My doc said I'm ok but still stressful! Can't wait to be done and get home and see my husband! I work 100 miles from where we live, so I stay with his grandma when I work...

DH told me I was chewing my cereal loudly this morning. I spent the next 20 minutes crying because he is "so mean." Luckily he just laughed at me and gave me a hug when I was finished.

I'm at work right now. It sucks. 1515h can't come soon enough!
We're making pulled chicken sandwiches tonight and I can't wait for that.
Last night I turned the oven on to bake pizza and forgot I put the cake in the oven. Well, the candles melted into the cake and now I can't eat it fortunately I was getting sick of cake so there's a reason it's being wasted.
My new lamps came in broken.. In between the online site and now the store, I've wasted 45 mins of my day trying to get a replacement lamp that wont' take two weeks to come in.. One lamp in my room was driving me crazy, but mismatched ones has my spidey senses in OverDrive!!

caymarks BRAT diet is for upset stomachs. Bananas, rice, applesauce, toast. I also like hot tea made pretty weak.
I really wanted to see American Sniper tomorrow but DD is running a fever and I fear she's getting the never ending cold that I have, so we'll be staying home. I don't want to drop a cranky toddler with my aunt and uncle. I hope hope hope I'm wrong and she's not getting anything!

Opinions please: Tonight is the 50th birthday party for the woman I was bitching about a few weeks ago (came over Christmas Eve and had a blowout about pseudoscience shit, how "good" doctors can tell the sex by the shape of the butt). Her daughter keeps texting me that she really wants me to go blah blah blah. DH says I should just get her a card and go. I'm really indifferent, and like I said before, I hold grudges. What are your thoughts? He works second shift, so I'd be going stag.

I set a goal to read 100 books in 2015 and I've barely read anything. I've FINISHED two books, which counts on Goodreads, but I want to really start AND finish a book this coming week!

I need suggestions to entertain myself tonight. I'm so bored always being cooped up sick - and my go to ideas aren't exactly pregnancy-friendly. DH and I want to do date night, but there are no movies out he wants to see (and I hate hate HATE theaters), and we always just go to dinner - it's a small town, we've been everywhere and it's kind of boring just the two of us, because thats what we do at home.
I'm gone for work all of next week and really wanted to do something fun with him, but the lack of choices is making me irrationally sad
DH cracked me up this morning. He was invited to go with friends to some private shooting range today. As he was leaving, I asked him where the gun was. "In the diaper bag" he says. "Gun in one compartment, amo in the other." He's using his new daddy diaper bag to tote a gun and amo! I don't know why this cracked me up so much.
Note: gun is normally in a locked safe. I always feel like I have to rationalize that.
I am irrationally upset about not finding tickers that I love for my siggy. I want SO BADLY to use the ones I had from TB, but I WILL NOT DO IT!
I gave in and went with one that I could live with. The ones from TB were so perfect. I'm the same way though. I definitely don't want to use those and condone them. Ugh!
Also, I opened my laptop and saw I still had a tab open on TB. It's sad and hilarious at the same time. There are a million symptom threads, baby naming threads, and Mamatwat actually posted a PSA. I closed it finally, but I just couldn't help myself.

I know exactly what you mean. I have no desire to read lately and I completely failed my Goodreads goals last year. So I definitely WANT to finish my goals this year and maybe surpass them?

Well, if you know other people go. She will be too busy being the Center of Attention to really get on your nerves, so go and have a good time. If you don't then leave early I doubt she will notice!
