I wanted something gender neutral and this also matches the nursery theme. I liked the Lucy Darling ones better but the neutral book wasn't in stock for months so this was my second choice.

I have a C.R. Gibson 5 years memory book for ds1 and will probably get another one for this baby. It was fine, but almost too much information to fill out lol.

I bought a pregnancy memory book on Etsy and I really like the idea of it but I haven't printed any photos for it and there is no way H is going to write a letter to the baby in it...
I love them because I just hung them up somewhere easily accessible and keep a pen right there. If DS does something I want to remember, I just jot it down that day.
It also comes with a bunch of stickers for common milestones, first Holidays, etc.

I really like the Lucy Darling ones. They are my style for sure.
Unconventionally, there is also the wait but why poster with a small square to represent each week of your life. I've thought about getting that but just have an annotated Google photos album and a text file so far.

With DD I had a pepperpot book I purchased on zulily. This time I went with a CR Gibson from BBB. They're both almost identical. Honestly I cared more about the cover matching their nursery theme than anything.
Mine are Carter's brand. DS1's is about 75% filled out. DS2's? Yeah... kid is lucky it has his name on it . I just wanted them to match the nursery theme
I've been browsing books and since I'll be keeping a photo album anyway, I'm thinking of just finding sample questions/stats/etc the books ask you each month and printing those on cards to put in the album. But I would want to set that up before birth so it's ready to go.

I have 2 just regular photo albums to put pictures of the girls in. There's a paper margin down the center I can write memories on. They are huge and hold like 500 photos. I also bought two different CR Gibson baby's first year calendars that will be fun. They have some prompts every month but I mostly think it will be fun to just fill the calendar in va just doing prompts in a baby book.

Ughhhhh looking in the Lucy darling book their is a spot that asks for the name of the president when you were born. Can I just write - NO in the space?

Acceptable answers:
An unqualified cheeto
Dorito Mussolini
We're not talking about it
....
The Carter's one for A just has "national leaders". DS1's had a space for president so it was a pleasant surprise

I was going to write "No. 45" or something like that. It is tempting to write "Sigh." or "An embarrassment to our nation" though.
