If you can tell your car will be blocking the intersection if you proceed through your green light, you need to stay put. Unpopular with drivers on my commute this morning.
This opinion is brought to you by it taking me 50 min to get to work, 40 of which was spent trying to go 2 miles. I literally had to back my car up so I could go through a median to drive around traffic to get on the interstate.
Ugh mrscatfarmer13 that would piss me off. Apparently I need to lay out N's clothes the night before or else it's a shit show in the morning. She was insistent on wearing hello kitty pjs she saw in the drawer 🙄
Wow what was the traffic all about mrscatfarmer13? How long is your commute yesterday
I have no idea, all traffic lights were working and I couldn't see an accident anywhere. Yesterday my commute was shorter than normal (12min), I guess because a lot of people stayed home. In normal morning traffic it takes me about 20min.
The closer this kid gets to 3, the moodier he is. And the moaning/ pouting. Like "omg my world is falling apart because there's no milk and I can't have cereal today. And I'm going to make whining noises about it for 30 minutes and look really pitiful". I guess at least he's not screaming/ tantruming. I can ignore pouting.

I wish it was just pouting this morning. It was total meltdown bc I wouldn't let her wear the hello kitty pjs then it was a meltdown about sitting down to eat breakfast instead of pushing the shopping cart all over the house. It's a negotiation every freaking day and I'm just trying my best to win.
Apparently pouring the pee out of the little potty is an unpopular opinion with mh. He always freaking leaves it in there. Yesterday I got mad at him about it and he said he thought she wasn't done using the potty, but she peed in it like 30 mins before. If you help her with the potty you have to clean the potty!

Yeah we had a lot of those struggles but the last week I'm seeing something new with this like sadness about it versus anger. Idk. He also said to me "daddy told me no 😓" Lol.

They definitely become more in touch with their emotions at 3; it's a blessing and a curse.

Ah typo but you got what I meant, usually not yesterday lol.

This is exactly my DS also. I think he's just trying to be manipulative. Like he has figured out that he doesn't get his way with a tantrum, but he knows I always give him attention when he's sad.
vlagroupie that would make me mad about the potty. Nobody likes dumping toddler piss out of a plastic potty, but that's life with a PT toddler.
lindsay, so funny you say that cause DD recently discovered she has 2 Disney princess nightgowns and wants to wear them constantly. But those things are expensive, so if anyone sees any size 2-3 princess nightgowns for sale on the yardsale pages, hook me up. I should go check out OUAC. They are having get a Dr Seuss book for free with any purchase special today (at least at the fields ertle one).

I've given up trying to pick out E's clothes. Instead of a dresser I keep her clothes in one of those IKEA cube shelves. I have pull out cubes in the four cubes on the bottom which has (1) dresses, (2) pants/leggings, (3) shirts, (4) pjs. Socks and underwear are in a pull out cube on top. (The other three hold books, dolls and toys). She is starting to pick out her own clothes on days that she is awake enough to dress herself. She wears some wacky combos sometimes but i keep telling her that if she wants to pick out her own clothes she has to dress herself. It's nice that she can reach everything because she is starting to put her clothes away when we do laundry.

Watching kids process emotions is so funny! Yesterday I said something silly to e and she goes "Mom, I'm not laughing. If you tease someone and they don't laugh, that means you hurt their feelings." Ooookay.

chrispy1122, M has started helping put his clothes away too. I usually try to keep him busy putting his socks away so I don't have to go back and re-fold stuff, but it's nice that he tries.
Oh and just in case anyone is trying to get ahold of me for the next 39 days, I've given up social media, while Z is awake, for Lent. I'll be around during nap time and after bed a little bit. I did delete the apps, so I won't get notifications because I have no self control haha. I think everyone has my number, so if you want to get together, text me.

I do the same thing! Multiple trips of socks and underwear.
Meh I'm not sure. I just know if I only gave up Facebook I'd be sitting here refreshing all day. If I give up both, then I have to put my phone down because email is super boring.
