DD fell asleep at 615 while eating dinner. She's still out at 6am. Craziness. DS pretty much started his nighttime sleep at 530... not sure what I did yesterday to wear out my kids.
No plans today. Hoping to get out for a walk. Supposed to be decently nice out.
Sleep was even worse last night because she was congested. Lucky DH got up with her finally around 4:30/5 and slept with her in the recliner until he had to get ready for work.
Today we have O's follow up appointment for her lip/tongue tie then I'm hosting a play date for my mom's group. Crossing everything that I can overlap O's afternoon nap with DD1's quiet time so I can get some rest.
We brought up the high chair today for Dd2 and she loved it. Bringing dd1 to preschool in a minute. I'm hoping dd2 stays awake so I can put her down when we get home and I can't rest. Not a great night last night.
DS2 slept 0 minutes at daycare yesterday. Therefore, he was very not happy when he got home. He got a bath at 6:30, ate, and then passed out. In bed by 7. I have got to get this kid taking naps at school. Hopefully, I can fix that this weekend. Maybe??
Boys are at daycare. More deep cleaning in store for today, although I think I'll take a break later and get a mani/pedi if I can.
Yesterday I booked a little room for our getaway trip next weekend. I'm getting excited now.
Made it my first morning of getting DS and myself ready for work/daycare on my lonesome. I timed getting up perfectly - little guy only woke up as I was finishing everything I needed to do and was patient about waiting for the bottle to warm up.
I think DS may want to be switching to only bottles soon. He gets really upset on the boob in the evening, pulling off and whining/crying for about 5 minutes until he finally gives in and actually sucks. He's less fussy MOTN, but sad I may be exclusively pumping soon. I kinda like nursing cuddles. ;_;
Today is Mommy and Me. I want to look into our 2 day trip for Spring Break but am waiting to find out how much the car is going to fix before booking anything. The Check Engine Light has been on since before Lil P was born and I am ready to find out what is going on. I really hope it is just spark plugs or something simple like that.
@snuff9861 - How do YOU feel about possibly being pregnant? Are you freaking out a little bit?
Things are kind of weird at work this week for some reason. I can't really explain it... it's just been kind of tough for a lot of people for various reasons. Even our HR person (we are small and only have one HR employee) noticed it and bought a couple of containers of cookies from the grocery store bakery for everyone during lunch yesterday as kind of a pick me up gesture. I'm pretty sure we all can't wait for the weekend to arrive.
DD1's new bed is arriving today. We are going to do her room makeover on Saturday. I told her that her room is getting cleaned and organized and will be transformed once it's done, but she has no idea that I actually mean that she's getting new curtains, area rug, bedding, lamp, framed posters of horses, etc. She is going to flip! I decided she will help with everything, so she can help decide where she wants her bed to go and everything. It'll be fun.

Both my babies have gone through periods like this. Typically they also become distracted by noises/ environment and frustrated by the lack of immediate milk flow. I just kept with it and they eventually get the picture and go back and forth more easily. Try a dark and quiet room for evening nursing.
jwinct, it wouldn't be the end of the world. I would have to go back to work early in order to re-qualify for mat leave and it speeds up our timeline of when we wanted more, but at the end of the day it would all be manageable. I think once I get my answer one way or the other it will cue the relief....or the panic lol.
My body is still so messed up from pregnancy. I got my blood work back and it shows several low vitamins that my prenatal is not even touching. The t3 and t4 is low but tsh is normal so he's wanting me to get my vitamins up first to see if that fixes my symptoms. I would like to just try the thyroid med and get closer to midline that low. Like the range of normal is .8-1.8 and my level was .9 Frustrating but my body is so worn down/ baby taking everything from me.

Good morning!
Both boys are still coughing up a storm. G and I fell asleep in the recliner last night for about an hour. By the time we woke up, he ate, and I gave him a nebulizer treatment, it was 10:30. The good news is that he slept until 7:30 and woke up all smiley. N was up at 5:30 but stayed in our room for a bit. I was woken up by the wind at 4:30, but at least it's sunny and warmish.
OH - also, anyone wanna recommend their shopping cart/highchair cover for going out?
I used one approximately twice with DS1. I dunno, all the stores we go to have the cleaner wipes or I use my own wipes. Personally I thought it was a pain to use and then with the germs on the cover, are you supposed to wash it all the time? When you fold it up to put in your bag or car aren't you getting germs everywhere anyways? I do know lots of people that use them every time so maybe I just don't know science...
I know for me the 3 times I used mine (Which I then sold), it was less about the germs and more of a prop to help DS sit up when he wasn't quite good at it. Or to have something safe for him to gnaw on. But then I just wore him and had no need for the cover anymore.

I realize this isn't helpful, but I don't use one and I never really have. I had one for DS1 and I used it like twice and it was a PITA. I expose my kids to all the lovely germs instead. LOL

Eta- the one I had (have? I think it's somewhere around...) folded into itself to make a bag, so that was kinda cool.
@snuff9861 I totally skimmed earlier over the part about you maybe being pregnant. How soon before you can test? I'd be losing my ever loving mind. sanibel21 DS2 LOVES the high chair. We have to prop him a little with receiving blankets or towels, but he loves being able to be up where the action is.

I have a Boppy one that someone gave me and I've only used it once so far this past weekend. It seems okay, but it doesn't have elastic around the edges so it doesn't cling around the cart, which I find to be odd. I do think not having the elastic makes it more universal and it will fit more types of carts, though. I tend to only use them until the baby gets really good at sitting up on their own. I feel like it adds a little bit of padding and covers any potentially sharp edges. And I like that you can hook toys to them.
Holy crap, there is so much tension in my office right now. Nothing to do with me, thankfully, but I don't like the overall mood here at all and can't wait for today to be over.

I'm sitting in a pedicure chair right now 😁
Havent a clue. I'm going to say middle of next week? I still have a box of 25 cheapies left, I sent the opened box to a friend. Apparently fate wanted me to keep some.
Great morning so far (in contrast to yesterday when I brought DS1 to work with me and he puked in the hallway. Good times). I read to DS1's and DD's classes this morning. The 3s room couldn't get enough of the Dr. Seuss books. I even had to read some the teacher had on hand because the two I brought just weren't enough! And the 2s room loved the Llama Llama book. Those books are perfect for that age. The teacher said they tried reading them Dr. Seuss the other day but the books were just too long for their attention spans. Then, in between reading to the classes, I got to hang out with DS2 and the other babies. And because I was already late for work, I stopped for a latte.
(1) I don't understand emojis. I think I'm just too old, or something. I feel like they are overused, and I find them dramatic. Like if someone is sad about something, adding 6 crying faces is annoying to me. Just say why your sad and leave it at that. I dunno. I don't use them.
(2) In response to a thread over on parenting, water plus sand makes wet sand, not mud. I wonder what kind of sand people are using that it makes mud. Maybe they need to buy some play sand so they fine dirt particles have been washed out. I use only sand in our sand/water table because water, even if drained every time, leads to bacteria growth. We haven't had any issues with bugs in our sand so I find it more manageable than water.
Busy morning here. Just taking a break to breathe.
DS2 is so crappy at staying asleep compared to DS1. To be fair, one of his MOTN wake ups last night was because he got his arm stuck in the crib slats--that would piss me off too.
Sleep question: what's the best way to wake baby up after feeding so they are not passed out when you put them in the crib? Wondering if this would at least get him to sleep until 3am, especially since he is decent at falling asleep initially even when he doesn't pass out.
I never used a cart/high chair cover. I occasionally used a blanket to help support DS1's back or throw it over the front of the cart when he kept trying to eat the handle.
I know I have gained weight from crap eating and no exercise. Have to keep reminding myself to focus on survival now, then move on to improvements.
I like emojis. Sometimes I can send an emoji in a text and it's just as good as saying words. My favorite is the eye rolling one. Appropriate for most things MH is texting me from work.
They can definitely be overused. My 21 yo sister could probably send an entire paragraph of nothing but emojis in text. It's a bit much.
I use emojis on here just to try to get across my tone. My tone can be difficult to ready so if I add a smily, people know I'm not being sarcastic or argumentative.
