lildis I'm glad you're on the mend! @misspeansmama That wind and weather sounds crazy! Hope your neighbor (and her property) are okay!
I have a bad cold Apparently something is going around, my boss just went home sick.
FI and I are benched for TTC at the moment. I started having some pretty significant knee pain, had my ortho appointment yesterday. Arthritis in both knees. Apparently, the left one is pretty much shot, there's nothing they can do for it other than knee replacement. The right one, which is the one that was giving me pain, also has significant arthritis in it and I got a cortisone shot, which is already starting to take effect. But, to prevent progression of the disease I've been instructed to lose weight...getting pregnant would be the opposite of that So I'm gonna try to take 50lbs off and then we'll get started again. We're pretty sad about it, but it's not "never", it's just "not now".
Also my divorce was final on Monday! So that was good news!

It's Dr Seuss week so ds has been having fun at school with spirit week. I was there this morning & in the few seconds of walking to & from his class passed by both teachers that were in the interview. Ugh so damn awkward. I wonder how long it's gonna feel this way but I'm trying to keep my head up. This is still my son's school & I'm still gonna be present so whatever.

DS' teacher's fiance was coming in as I was leaving today. It looked like he was going to read to the class. That triggered the memory that there was an open invite to parents to come in & read during the time that I'm usually there. DS has told me no one has come in. I wonder if she recruited him to come in just as a new face. I find it funny she hasn't asked me to, probably because I read to kids individually during workstations when they have the class library as one. I wouldn't want to do it anywho. I do enough. lol
We met with DD's new teacher today. It was a bit weird, because they asked that we brought her along and she looked around the room a bit but wanted to stay close to us, we did not feel at ease discussing her in her presence, KWIM? Not that we would say bad things or anything. Any way, awkward it was. It didn't help that we all were seated on these tiny chairs at that tiny table.
DD had the biggest grin on her face, however, she can't wait.
This wind is out of control. It broke part of our fence! 😮
oh no! I went out back to take inventory yesterday morning & we just lost a gutter (it was just on the other side of the yard) & the grill cover came off (still in the backyard.) thank geebus the fence would be my worst nightmare
I have to pick up some new allergy meds today, for me and DS. All I have is expired Allegra which is not quite cutting it. I would like to find children's Allegra for DS to try, because the Claritin he's been taking also is not quite cutting it for him. His eyes have been so puffy the last 2 mornings.

My week at school hasn't improved Thankfully I love my job and know that this too shall pass. I hope all of the sick kiddos in my classes get better soon! And that no one else gets sick at school- and that no one else gets sick on me.
I'm picking DS up from theater class and then unsure what we will do. I may start putting out the few Easter decorations that we have. Come on spring!
emmaswan I'm sorry to hear you are having knee pain.
Do you mind if ask you what the pain feels like? I have been having some on and off pain in what feels like my hip joint socket and I'm suspecting arthritis 😞
I always have a hard time describing pain It kind of feels like a warm/burning kind of pain when walking, but with a ton of stiffness and sometimes like something is "catching" on something else in there. Usually worse after sitting for a long period of time, or first thing in the morning. Sometimes it'll feel like the joint gives out when you're walking too. With the stiffness, for about two weeks I could not fully straighten out my right leg, period. After the cortisone shot yesterday it's significantly better. I have that same thing going on in my hip as well, but I haven't yet had it evaluated. There's no harm in getting it checked out though! Sorry to hear you're going through that!
