I actually have to go to work today. This kid was supposed to be here by now so I could have March AND April off! Her dad was also sad he had to shave his goatee this morning before work. That also makes me sad because he looks damn good with it.
I'm still seeing double this morning but feel fine so I'm chalking it up to being a general pregnancy annoyance.

It's cold and snowing this morning. And then it supposed to back up into the 60s by Sunday. This winter has been so weird. I'm not overly complaining though. I just don't want all hell to break loose with the weather when I have this baby and then I have a late miserable winter when I'm on maternity leave.

We had a little bit of snow yesterday but it didn't stick to the ground at all. It's just cold but will be back in the 50s next week. I've also been afraid of a late winter with a March baby. We had a couple blizzards after DS was born and it was awful.
@justinslovo, he's so handsome!! DD1 was the same way with waking up to eat. Hopefully he gets back to his birth weight soon for you!
AFM, I've recently started a momming blog..something I have never done before. So I"m hoping to sit down and spend a little time on it today while H is home. If anyone is good with WordPress and can recommend a (cheap or free) online course to teach me the ropes of it, my biggest road block seems to be getting over the overwhelm of not knowing how to put together a really good looking website.

So there ended up being snow bursts all over the place causing accidents everywhere. My normal 15-20 minute commute took 1 hour and 10 minutes. I had to stop off at a McDonald's to pee. I should have just stayed home today. Ugh.
I'm alive. DS is sleeping still because he had a late-ish night visiting cousins. I'd like to do something today but IDK what. I may go to Ross and see if I can update out pillows

@justinslovo those little cheeks are precious.
This morning has been weird. I left my water at home and in the 7 minutes my phone was plugged into the charger in the car it went from 75% to 17% battery. I'd like to know how the f that happens.
Also, my work computer won't let me on TCF so that's cool. More reason I should be at home with a baby and not here haha.
@justinslovo My baby is also a "doesnt want to be woken up to eat" baby. She would happily sleep through the entire night if I let her. My first was like this too. It is misery to wake them up to eat lol. I want to sleep dammit
I don't think it's ever going to snow here again :[ we have gotten one snow this season and it's been up in the 60-70s recently. I was told this would be a snowy hell-winter?
Had an appointment this morning and met another OB in the practice and I really liked him! He guesstimated that baby boy will be 8 pounds by delivery. He's also head down, butt up still! Baby always moves like crazy for the doctors haha, he could barely get the heartbeat.
I called DH because our shower is leaking and interrupted him talking to a manager. I'm used him not answering unless he thinks I'm in crisis but apparently now at 37 weeks, he assumes I'm calling about the baby coming! So now I don't want to call him at work unless it is baby time, haha.

Max pulled his first "crying in the cart until someone holds me" episode today, at the store, lol. He snuggled right up to me so sweetly, and promptly filled his diaper. Then he fell asleep.

My BP is up again. Still only 131/80 but DH thinks that's enough to warrant a trip to the fire station for the medics to check it since it's hardly been higher than 115/70ish.

I'm waiting for the mechanic to finish up with my car. I dropped it off at 8:30 so I thought it would be done by now. I correctly guessed what was wrong and that should be a 30-60 min fix once they confirmed it. But it's been 2 hours since they called with the issue and the estimate. Grrrr.
@justinslovo My baby is also a "doesnt want to be woken up to eat" baby. She would happily sleep through the entire night if I let her. My first was like this too. It is misery to wake them up to eat lol. I want to sleep dammit
The lack of sleep is starting to hit me. I thought I was doing a good job, but only getting a couple of hours every time I sleep is catching up with me. I was thinking of going to Target this afternoon, but I think a nap is going to win.
Ermagersh! I disappear out of sleep deprivation, exhaustion, and being overwhelmed and I come back to so many more babies! @justinslovo , he is soo adorable! Congrats on being home! cosmicav , after this ones 4 week visit, I've been told to go ahead and let him sleep five or six hours at night if he's willing.. of course, he isn't anymore! ~facepalm~
erinshelley21 , ugh work! Hope the BP is okay. Your little one will be here soon suelou18 , ~hugs~ I miss naps. My dh wants go give them to me, but I end up with headaches from them. >< That, and five kids = still exhausted all the time with little sleep at night
Okay, update on me and where I disappeared to. I have definitely been struggling with a minor case of the blues.. but ya know, fake it to make it? For the most part, too busy to let it overwhelm me. DH is watching me carefully and tugging me gently back when I curl into myself.
My mom went home to see her doctor for the sciatic pain that not taking breaks in a home with four kids and two of them being 3 year old toddlers caused. She and my dad came back a week later and stayed for a week for little Anthony's baptism. That turned out amazing. I need to post a hilarious picture of the whole family we got. Oh, cool thing. In the LCMS church (and many others) you are considered an adult in the church once you go through confirmation. Both of the older girls are confirmed, so we picked this little one's teenage sisters to be his sponsers/god-parents. They are ecstatic!
My parents headed back across the country on Tuesday night, and my uncle immediately drove my dad to the hospital when they landed. See... not long before my mom came out here, my dad was biking to his job (he's retired, but can't sit still).. and he collided with a car. Several broken ribs along with other injuries. They told me none of this until they were here. It seems the pilot who flew the first leg of their trip home (they live on one coast, I live on the other) took off and landed VERY steeply.. and they flew above those horrible storms on the second leg of their trip. This extra pressure caused one of those broken ribs to puncture my dad's lung. So.. he is sitting in a hospital room with a great view as they keep a collapsed lung open and wait for him to heal. ~flails~ AND my mom is getting a second opinion on her sciatic leg issues because they aren't improving and she'll probably need surgery. DH and I have agreed that if need be, I'll be flying across the country with this little one should there be a turn for the worse instead of improvement in either of them.
Positive updates. They sent us to a pediatric urologist because of the mild to moderate kidney size in this little one. (I think I mentioned it during the pregnancy.) He's fine and they're going to monitor him every six months. He already had his one month visit. The day before his due date ~laugh~ He's already up to 8lb 2oz from being born at 6lb6oz. I guess my milk is doing just fine. Soo in love with this little guy.. as are all four of his sisters
I've missed you guys. I'm sorry for disappearing for so long. I think it was the blues more than the overwhelming series of events. I'd been struggling to enjoy anything and just running on autopilot.
TLDR summar : I'm here.. life is overwhelming, baby is great, parents are in need of prayers, missed you all

BP was 140/82 at the fire station so I called the Drs office. I'm now at home on the couch. This is really getting in the way of my plans to walk this baby out this weekend.
The last baby shipment Cameron from Amazon so I finally feel ready for this baby. She'll probably end up with a few more diaper covers though. Lol
Also, STM that have the baby at home, do you have any patience back? I keep coming so close to loosing it on DS and OT makes me feel like a shit mom. Just wanting someone to tell me I'll eventually stop being mean all the time. Hormones are messed up.
@justinslovo so precious! Hope you both are recovering well.
I didn't believe people that told me, but I'm already starting to forget the pain the days after the c-section. It's just one big blur.
I took my baby to the doctor today becuase his feet turned purple during a change yesterday. I feel a bit silly. Everything checks out and I just need to be quicker and not hold his legs up for too long. Or put the diaper on too tight. I am such a rookie.
Our town has almost no shopping so we made a last trip to the city looking for a double stroller but couldn't find a sit and stand anywhere. Looks like I'm ordering online after all.
erinshelley21, glad you called the dr. Hope that your BP and vision return to normal with some r&r.
@amc25, yay for DH coming home! Any idea how much longer DS has to stay in the he nicu?
No baby yet for me. Dr said I am almost 2cm dilated. Better than the last few checks where I was an "almost 1. But more like you've had a baby before vs. anything happening" I'm guessing we will be inducing Tuesday vs baby coming sooner.
