marshian, I've been getting on the scale backwards at the OB's office because I don't want to see what their scale says. I've been taking my weight at home regularly so I know where I'm at, I don't need to see an inflated number after I've eaten, gotten dressed, etc.

Yes! Food too. Always seems to make a few lbs difference.

ourcrazynavylife, my FFFC was that my DH didn't even own a dress shirt until I made him get one for my company's Christmas party this year. He still doesn't own a tie.
I weigh 4 pounds more this afternoon on the midwife's scale than this morning at home. Granted I have on more clothes, but seriously?
There is pretty consistently a 5 lb discrepancy between my weight at home and at the MW's. I weigh myself at home first thing in the morning (after peeing) only with a t-shirt, and I weigh myself at the MW's with all of my clothes (wintry clothes at that) and my winter boots on, so whatever.

ThankfulSnail DH actually went to men's warehouse and was fitted for several suits & a blazer after graduating college.
But they're all the same fucking color dress shirt and tie. Baby blue. Guess who's least favorite color is baby blue & doesn't own a single article of clothing in that color.
It peeves me every time I have to dress him for an event.

ourcrazynavylife, DH's one and only dress shirt is also blue. All of my dresses now will need to have blue undertones. I wore my brown with blue paisley accents Nicole last time he wore his dress shirt and it looked nice together.

My winter boots weigh 2 and half pounds each so this would be a very inaccurate reading.
Here in gross weather salt Land we have to leave our boots outside the office.

Water weight usually adds 2-4 lbs for most people so you'll weigh more in the afternoon then morning especially if you weigh after FMU. I always go by my scale at home though. FFFC: I always try to wear the lightest shoes/clothes as possible for my appts except on days that I'm worried I didn't gain enough in between appts like yesterday b/c of my stomach bug.

Haha, I know. They're not really winter boots but they are what I wear through fall and winter and a lot of muddy spring season, so I will be wearing them through most of my pregnancy. Once I started out wearing them on the scale I just had to keep going to be consistent!
Yeah, I know water weight and food and clothes and all that. It's just annoying. According to them I'm up 5 lbs since last time, but according to me I'm up maybe 2. Last appointment was in the morning. Only comment was my overall gain is 4 lbs and "perfectly normal". Love my midwives so far!
{SPOILERRRRRR} /spoiler Sun is in labor and the Dr says that he's going to have to perform a C-section because the medication makes it harder to do naturally. Then she's like "no" and one push later the baby is out. SERIOUSLYYYYYYYYYYY! LOL /spoiler
So, my grandmother tried to convince me that my chiro can fix my carpel tunnel (he can't) and stop my sinus headaches (again, he can't), all because he fixed my back pain 🙄 the back pain was due to a hip being out of place and needing to be pushed back. The other stuff is due to swelling and not misalignments. So, no, he can't, and he fully admits he can't...
She subscribes to a lot of alternate medicine stuff so I'm not surprised but still... 🙄
I take my flip flops off and they weigh nothing lol
Ah, most of my appointments are before or after work so I have those shoes on. My OB with DS1 said I could take them off so I always have ever since. The jacket comes off, too.
