sheepish does your pnp not have a drop in attachement? Maybe you buy it separately? Not sure how to call it. I don't have a bassinet for the pnp but I don't have him all the way at the bottom. You can see what I mean in this picture.
It seemed like such a good idea before we ended up with a giant baby who is out growing his 3-6 month clothes at 3 months. I think the weight limit for the top portion is 15lbs, which I'm pretty sure he's passed already, and he's just about too long for it as well.

Yeah, that is short. Holy crap I didn't even think about weight limits. My baby is 17.5 lbs already. Shoot.
W, try not to beat yourself up too much. Things happen. I know it's hard and you feel terrible but seriously at some point we all do something like this.
Shoot, I hit Mady in the head with a Fiestawear dinner plate the first day she came home from the hospital when I was trying to nurse and eat. I get horrible and cried. But, she's okay.
There's a reason baby's are designed not to remember these days, I think it's so they don't remember all the times we mess up as we try to figure out the parenting thing
lbonga1 We have a rule in our house about not initiating sex after 10 pm. Pretty sure that makes me lame, but a girl's gotta sleep!
I want that rule but actually agreed last night it's the only time we'll be able to until she naps. Dh is only allowed to try for it on the weekends though.
Oh W, big hugs. Things happen. I have definitely fallen asleep holding my baby more than once, and she has also tried to dive off the bed in the middle of the night. Also, the first time I took a bath with her, I accidentally put her face in the puddle of water between my boobs, causing her to choke and cough, and spent the night googling dry drowning. We're all doing the best we can. I hope the pediatrician is reassuring.
I ordered ponte pants from Amazon at 730 this morning if that's any indication of how my day is going. Real pants and Monday mornings are mutually exclusive IMO.
Please report back on your satisfaction level once they arrive. I think I've given up on my dry clean only Ann Taylor work slacks. They don't fit, they don't stretch and I can't wash them.
lola thanks for suggesting using a hard sided box to store my milk in the communal fridge! I found a crayon box and used that today. So much better. I like that it's not see thru too.
Yay! Agree about it not being see through. DNW to deal with people being weird about breastmilk at work.

I need more of these. My only leggings are maternity and don't really stay on anymore. This weekend I wore jeans. They zipped but I felt awful the whole day, esp sitting down.

I work with almost all guys, so I'm hoping there won't be any awkwardness. At least our HR person is a girl, so it wasn't weird talking to her about where I'm going to be pumping. I was thinking about bringing in a mini fridge so I could keep the milk in that by my desk, but I'm already looking for a new job, so I'm not sure how worth it it would be if I'm only planning on staying for another few months. A friend of mine at a company that I used to work for is putting in a referral for me for a position at the corporate location (I used to be in retail). That'll be nice if I get that job because I already know the company, and I know how their pumping accommodations work since I used the room when I was there for training when DD1 was a baby.

Dare I say....I'm bored at work. I haven't started any new projects yet and my temp is still finishing up a lot of my stuff. I guess I'll try to enjoy it while it lasts.
mrsp121308 hope Hazel (and mama) did ok! Oh no... I just saw your update! Say it ain't so!
littlelion I've had that happen for swim class except I was meeting DH there and left it right next to the door. Should I have put it in the car for him too? And baby brain is REAL! Lol
requiressnacks there were 3, but nobody can do it like mama! And tell the snackettes to stay asleep til 4!

We got a new bed last week and it's a lot higher than our old bed. Cora sleeps on my side between me and the edge of the bed, so I bought a bed rail. I think DH is convinced she's always going to be in our bed now. She slept 8 and 8 1/2 hours the last 2 nights, so I'm not in a hurry to mess with things.
W, DD1 fell off our changing table onto a linoleum floor at 4ish months. After several hours in the ER she was fine, but I was a complete wreck for days.
littlelionsheepish yeah the weight limit for the insert is usually 15 lbs. I think DS1 and our daycare lady's grandson were in the insert until they were 4-5 months... so well past 15 lbs ... at daycare. We (is and the daycare lady) hadn't even thought about a weight limit with it. Lol. They were fine, but as soon as we realized, they went into the PNP. It was just easier to put them in/out of the insert and see them better.

W I missed the post, but I got the gist of it.... it happens. You do feel awful, but it happens and doesn't make any of us a bad mom. DS1 smashed face first into the floor when he was 4-5 months. DS2 fell trying to push a toy and got a concussion at 9 months. And DS1 stepped on baby when he was 3 weeks old. I'm pretty sure I cried for all those incidents. Waaahhh! But they were fine!

Yep, my CW is still helping out so if I took everything back what would she do. I am taking it easy too. Not even going to try to stay late to make up for this morning.
I should be trying to get personal stuff done like budget for the next couple of months. Or meal plan. I need more coffee.

me too - I also have no motivation to get into anything. If I can wait I do. Although this is the first day it bothered me and I didn't feel like I was on top of my stuff. I spent an hour looking over it all and now I am on top of my stuff and have nothing to do. SO I shopped at Carter's on lunch and spent way too much money. I'm banning myself from there now.

I think I'm going to store it for a couple of months and take it out when he is sitting up on his own.

Question - have any of you started giving your LO cereal? If so, how old us he/she and what signs did they give you, if any, that helped you make the decision to start?

I have not. But the idea of starting solids made me really sad. I'd like to hit the pause button please.
What's the current verdict on those bumbo seats? I remember reading a few years ago about them tipping, or something with their hips, it was something negative. It seems like all my friends have them. Abigail really loves sitting but obviously needs support still so I'm looking for options/toys. When are those exersaucers good?

I haven't yet, but I'm going to ask the pedi about it tomorrow. My two just seem to be hungry all the time.

My kids have too much thigh to use the bumbo all that much. But this is the new must have. It's a bit reclined unlike the exersaucer

We have the Fisher Price sit-me-ups. They offer better support then the bumbo.

I used the Bumbo (or another brand a friend had given me from her son) with both DS1 and 2. I've put D in it for a few minutes here and there with me sitting with him when he seems bored with everything else.
Exersaucer - I think I started DS1 and 2 in it around 4 months for short periods of time. As long as they have good head control, they should be good. I've also tucked a little blanket in front or behind early on so that they were flopping around in there when they get all excited. Lol

I know a lot of pedis will say 6 months. Ours had me start DS1 on cereal at 4 months since he already had a couple teeth so I could give him the teething cookies to gnaw on. Lol. We started cereal with DS2 around late 4 or right at 5 months to try to help his reflux. I'm pretty sure the earliest it's recommended is 4 months?
