So I've decided to give this weird head cold type nonsense a day and will go to the walk in clinic tomorrow if there is no improvement. I am regretting that choice but my H is out with DS to pick up more formula and some.sort of medicine for me. God I hope it helps. I wanna snuggle my girl.
So are we all still thinking we'd like to have a private sub-board for us to post more personal details and lots of pictures? If so, what would we need to do to make that happen?! Now that more of us are having babies and will likely want to start posting more pics of said babes, I think we should get the ball rolling!
I agree with this because I won't be posting pictures of T when he gets here unless it's on a private board. Soooooooo who wants to manage this?!

My induction is still in progress. Tried cytotec first which gave me some contractions but no change in my cervix. Cervidil has been in since last night and contractions are ramping up. I have trouble talking during them, but I know last they checked I was only 1 cm. So we'll see.

@amc25 slow weight gain was the name of the game with DS. We did some formula when he was about 4 weeks old because he was still gaining slowly at that point and it did help. I wasn't having supply issues or anything, so it allowed me to build a decent freezer stash and he gained. But since then I've always been worried about him getting enough to eat.

Per usual, the contractions went away.
I did however have a nice lunch with my girlfriends. We've had our "last lunch before baby" like 3 times now lol. This is the legit last one since I know she'll be here next week!
We are in the midst of a nasty storm here and it's even worse a province over where my parents live. DS and I went to play group in the morning and it was a struggle just getting from the car to the building. Glad I don't have anywhere else to be today because I'm not sure I'd be going. Now baby needs to not get any ideas about coming early or something.
3 cm is all I'm at. Scheduled induction for the 12th, going in at 9 PM, so he'll likely be born the 13th. Which is literally the only day we didn't want him to be born (someone's birthday, who just passed away a few weeks ago). It's the only day they had available besides tomorrow. Please come sooner baby... please...

I'll cross everything that baby comes earlier than that!

3 cm is great! I got my epi at 4 and had my baby within two hours with both pregnancies. I bet you won't make it to the 13th!
Thank you everyone, it means a lot! We've got 5 days still, so hopefully there's time for him come on his own before he's evicted. I'm taking frequent walks to try and convince him too.

Quinstar 3 cm is better than 1 cm so you're on the right track. My induction was scheduled for the only day in March that I didn't want so I'm in the same boat. It's the birthday of someone that caused me 3 years of stress and turned my life upside down for a while. It's not ideal, but I'm letting it go and deciding it will change my outlook on the day.

Crazy how similar our situations are. I want to avoid the day because of a couple of things including it being MIL's good's friend's birthday, since she passed away so recently and MIL has been pretty upset about it, I feel like it's reserved to be a sad day.
I'm sorry yours is scheduled on such a day, hopefully both these babies arrivals erase any bad/sad reminders on their induction dates if they choose to make their appearances then.
My son shares a birthday with Hitler and "weed day." Crimes go up on this day due to that fact--for example, the Columbine shooting. (4/20)
This used to really upset me, (I shed many tears over it) but now that I am a bit removed from his birth, since he is almost 2, it feels nice to have something positive on an otherwise dismal day. The hormones made it harder but it ended up okay.
I know it's not the same kind of thing as the birthday of someone you know personally, but if your kid shares a day with something difficult, eventually it does minimize the negative association.
He's here! 8.6lbs and 21" born @ 2:04 today! Things got a bit rushed at the end as he was having rapid decels due to the chord wrapped around his neck. But once he was out all is good!

I think we just request a private board? That's what we did on F14. I'm tagging NariaDreaming here to see what we need to do to get one set up.
