I am still working 50 hour weeks and I am so stressed but on the bright side we booked our vacation to Charleston, SC for the last week of this month!!!
I am so excited!
Silas hadn't pooped for 4 days but finally pooped today with some help. He was getting really uncomfortable. I think I am going to start offering water with solids now to see if that helps.
Thanks comicSans for asking! It was today - he gained a whole pound in 4 weeks so the dr was pleased. He didn't grow in height so the weight gain meant something. Yay! Now we are at 15%. I'm still going to obsess about it but am happy that we are moving in the right direction. Plan is to keep on doing what I'm doing.
M is not eating solids yet. We tried blw and he just licks then throws it on the floor so I caved and bought purée. He's not a fan. He doesn't want me putting anything by his mouth. Getting a bit stressed he won't ever want solids.

I know it's hard, but don't stress about this. My first was the same way. He hated purees but couldn't figure out how to feed himself for a while. Do what feels right, but don't over think it. It wasn't until 8-9 months that DS1 REALLY started eating solids. To this day he still doesn't like when we try to feed him.
Nothing new going on here. March is the worst in terms of holidays off for work. It's such a "long" month, and no holidays. Plus spring fever sets in with the kids now. Need spring break now!
B is doing well- he should graduate from PT by the end of the month! I dropped his morning Zantac a few weeks ago and he is doing great with that too. Hoping to drop the night dose soon, but I'm too chicken lol.
sarcaztic10 vacation sounds awesome! My h has 3 work trips in the next 2 months and I'm considering going with him on one of them, even though we'll drag the kids along and he'll be working much of the time.
tikoberry99 try not to worry. Some babies just don't get interested in solids until later. He's a happy, healthy boy and doesn't need the food yet - he'll come around.

tikoberry99 my daughter didn't like real food very much either at first but she came around.
I would love a vacation work is a very depressing mantra of do more with less right now and will be for the forseeable future.
On a bright note DD loves to play with Ds and he laughs when she sings to him. Now if only I could get her to give him some space she loves to hug him while he is laying on the floor. she doesn't get she is twice as big as him and that might hurt him.
Snap shot of our life: today I was feeding flint puréed kale and pear from one side of the table while DH was giving him bites of poutine from the other.

When is your spring break? We have March break here. Tomorrow is our last day.
tikoberry99, yep another +1 for not stressing about food. DS1 was slow in interest with solids (probably about 9 months), but one day it clicked, and he got it. I stressed so much about it. It drove me crazy. So I get it. Do what's best for you, but if it was me, I wouldn't give up on BLW comletely. He will get that sooner rather than later, and it is easier than purees. Or you could try purees with a preloaded spoon so he feeds himself. Good luck!
melody330, yay for PT graduation! We dropped the night dose of Zantac last night. Last night was fine so hope you have similar luck when you take the plunge!

Hi ladies!
Dd is still in PT for torticollis. Hoping to be released after her visit at the end of the month. Shes army crawling, eating baby food (jar food... gasp!) and rice crackers. She still gagging on thicker, chunkier foods so I'm not being very aggressive with trying new stuff right now.
The stomach flu ravaged our house this week. Dd went on the children's hosp er today for dehydration. She ended up not needing an iv, good news! They gave her zofran for the nausea, which helped a lot, and we are doing pedialyte often and her regular formula. So far, she's keeping it all down and hasn't had anymore diarrhea. FX'd we are past the worst of it!

I hope she is feeling better!
Thank you 😊
She's doing ok. She had another vomiting night so we are still doing formula and pedialyte, no foods for now. Hoping all the germs will leave our house now!
Hope all the germs stay away for a while after this Susan0utLoud!
I've been so ridiculously busy with work and the girls. DH applied for a fellowship in another city and we find out next Wednesday if he got it. Then we have to decide if he will move there by himself (it's 3 hours away drive with only a year guaranteed contract) or if we all move. I'm really stressed about it but it will work out.

Glad I'm not alone! He licked a pickle a few days ago so I'm calling it progress!
