You know what is the worst?? Taking a nice long shower and sitz bath and soaking your ass and spritzing yourself with all the dermaplast and feeling good.......and then promptly having the runs/liquid poops :/
I'll never be clean again 😶
XP so multiple of my BMBs know my suffering Lol
Ugh I'm so scared of going through the postpartum phase again I feel like no one warned me about what it was truly like until I was in it. I am not looking forward to the nastiness of lochia or the god awful nightsweats again or the lack of bladder control 😩
Fortunately the runs is not a typical part of the post partum experience, lol.

pet peeve = having to poop right after a shower.
The only thing worse is when you bathe your kid and he poops right after
You never forget the first time your kid poops in the tub LOL at least I know I can't forget. It traumatized me a little
This. So much this. My DS had his first tub poop a week or two ago. We freaked out, scooped the floater, drained the tub, bleached all the toys. Overreaction? Probably. Would I do the same again? Probably.

This is us. It's poop soup, at that point. There is no "just scooping it out." Hork.
Hell. It hurt me a lot and then I cramped for hours. Second time wasn't as bad.
I appreciate your honesty.
Sorry! Had to tell you the truth. I was clearly desperate for Clara to come out so I did it twice; haha. It's also super shitty that there is only a 25% (or something like this) chance of it working and that drops each day after and by the third day if you didn't go into labor it didn't work.

He's here!! The contractions that I started timing at 10:30 were about 4 minutes apart, we made it to the hospital around 12, and little man was born at about 6:45! I'll share the birth story soon (although it's not very exciting lol).

I just woke up to pee and feed the baby... thank god this hospital still has a nursery. I was able to get a few hours of sleep.
I don't understand the whole "Baby Friendly" hospital stuff...if the parents want to keep the baby with them, great, but I know that I'd like to not start out the journey at home with my newborn more sleep deprived than need me...k thanx. Off soapbox.
Yup! Plus someone is coming in your room every 10 minutes,so you can never nap during the day. I remember being so nervous to go home and take care of the baby because I was so tired at the hospital, but it was so much better because you could rest during the day.
I'm running low on sleep here. My husband can't sleep with the baby in the room, so we moved downstairs. Unfortunately, I don't have anything she can sleep safe in down here so I just stay up. He was also suppose to take the 4:30 am feeding, but said he needed more sleep.

Drinking a huge coffee. Trying not to be annoyed.
Can you get a portable bassinet for cheap to take with you downstairs? Or, kick H out and make him sleep on the couch
I'm not sure about the private board on mobile - maybe someone else can answer that.
glb30, +1 to what mosdub said about kicking H out! I appreciate you trying to let him get sleep, but you're being way nicer and more patient than I would be if my H pulled the "I need more sleep" card. I hope you are able to get a little sleep today!
And as far as mobile, I wasn't seeing it either until it randomly appeared at the top of the board for me one time. Sorry that's not much help, but that's all I've seen others say too.
glb30 my response to my husband "not being able to sleep" with the baby, and then "needing more sleep" would not have been kind. Welcome to Parenthood - everything is different now, including and especially how you sleep and how much sleep you need.

If there is no safe place for babe the H gets the boot.

He is sleeping in the spare room tonight...and coming home over lunch to feed her and hang for an hour so I can get a little break.
