I'm a little more than half way there. I pulled off on an exit so I could nurse S. The sign said there is a gas station. Yeah, it's like 5 miles away so I pulled off on a side road. Fun fact: there is a town in MN named Keister, lolz.

trtlcrzy, Poor O! I'm glad you're able to go visit. I'll be sending all the thoughts and prayers your way. I know you're used to seeing O with a lot of tubes and machines, but in case your sister hasn't shared any pictures just be prepared to see quite a bit of that stuff in his room while on ECMO. It can be a bit intimidating.

Super super windy here. From what I hear, it's pretty nasty out there. I've got a sore throat and debating going home to relax for a bit before picking up the kids instead of going to work out.. hmm....

I hope your DS is better soon. nam2013 Sorry about your dinner.
I feel so much better after getting my hair cut. She actually could have taken a little more off, but I go back at the end of next month for color, so I'll have her cut it again then.
Busy day here. Put down a deposit for a new day care closer to home in case my next job isn't near my old work. Then went to Target to get Oxyclean to get stains off of Ls old baby clothes. Applied to another job, started the laundry, and might take a walk with L soon. I'm slowly going through a checklist (organized by month until baby comes lol) of things to do before the baby comes. Went through bottles last night and was happy to see most were in good condition, just need new nipples.
Poll: We have a family bassinet that has been passed down through the generations. I replaced the mattress with L 3 years ago. We actually didn't use it much as L outgrew it quickly. It has since gone to 2 other babies and is now back at our house. Not sure how much use it got from the other babies, but the mattress looks to be in good condition
Would you replace the mattress? What is the litmus test for this?
I made it up her about an hour ago. Baby O is on a paralytic so not much is happening right now. They actually let me bring S back into his room. My sister and BIL are holding up just fine it seems. She got a couple hour nap late this morning.
I probably wouldn't replace it, mamabear13. One of DH's cousins used their family bassinet in between Colin and Chase and we didn't replace the mattress. We didn't even replace it when we first got it from DH's brother. Colin probably used it the most and even he was only in it for a couple of months.

B got a bday invite from one of her DC friends. It's at a movie theater for 4hrs and says "Beauty and the Beast." So i assume we're going to see that! I'm excited. I never get to go to the movies anymore.
H isn't gaining enough weight, so I'll be switching to formula. Anyone have any pointers on how to transition? He already gets a little formula in his bottles at daycare because I wasn't pumping enough. Should I just gradually increase the formula to bm ratio?
It depends on the kid. DD was breastfed for 4 months then I went back to work and she took 100% formula right away with no objection. For me on the other hand, cold turkey was not delightful.
I think I'm raising the next Amelia Bedila. One of the kids at daycare went home with a stomach bug the other day. T told me "C had to leave today because he ate a bug." Then DD asked what kind of store was on the corner we were passing. I said liquor store. T says "eww I'm not going there, I don't want to get licked." Then I told him his favorite babysitter is coming Saturday night. He says "am I turning back into a baby?"
I just made it home a little bit ago. Nothing really changed all day. It's a wait and see how he does and let him rest. But here's my stupid moment of the day. I'm not sure if you guys are aware but I've never been to Trader Joe's. Well on my way out of Rochester I passed one so I decided to stop. I got a few non perishable items that I've been interested in (joe-joes, seasonings)and left. Drove 30 minutes and stopped at a gas station. Realized that I didn't have my wallet. Called TJs and an employee found it in a cart. So I had to make an hour round trip back to get my wallet. The last hour of my drive was rough. My eyes just wanted to close but I fought it and in a little bit I'm goi f to bed.
