Happy Wednesday! Can someone explain how IG is different from FB? Apparently I'm old and don't technology very well. Also, how do we have standing babies already? goldenlove3 he's too cute just standing there!
Here's my addition to the cuteness in here.
FFWC: I just realized there's a private board. 2u2 really has me in a fog apparently!
H had his 4 mo appt this morning and I just got to work. He isn't gaining enough wait so I either need to supplement or switch to formula completely. I'm already not pumping enough and I've been really frustrated the past couple weeks with our nursing sessions, so I'm leaning towards switching completely.
Also, his circumcision had sort of reattached so she had to pull it back. Poor thing screamed. I didn't know I was supposed to be pulling it back every day. I feel awful for him.
Lots of hugs on both of these. I know how frustrating it is to nurse/pump/supplement and all that. Whatever decision you make will be a good one, just know that. Also, DS's circumcision partially reattached too and they had to pull it back, so you aren't alone.
I have IG, I've been much better about using it the last couple months. If y'all would like I can start a post in the N16 group and we can post usernames?
tgrimes1980 Hugs, what a rough appointment. Do what you have to do re:supplementing or EFF and do not feel bad or guilty; maybe he will sleep better with the extra calories?

I'm so sorry tgrimes1980. That whole appointment sounds miserable. You've done an amazing job feeding him and I hope you are at peace with whatever route you take. I had no idea about the circumcision thing. Omg. I feel like that's a very important detail they should tell moms...it's not like we walk around just knowing what to do with male anatomy.

Hope the boys are feeling better soon and FX you don't get it jubilantsquirrel. I haven't been able to retry the minbie yet. My supply has been strange and I haven't been able to pump in over a week. I swear I feel like I'm about to get my period. If I'm able to try it soon I'll let you know immediately how it goes. It breaks my heart that you have to worry about this. I'm sure he makes up fit it when you get home, but I know you would be significantly less stressed if he would take the bottle.
I hope tonight goes better for you hangry. Have you been doing yoga for awhile? I would love to get into it, but I've been saying that for years.
Your weather terrifies me danib. I've also come to realize that I'm a complete sissy since it was 55 out yesterday and I remarked that it was chilly. Also, I find it to be super bad ass that your H comes and goes to work on a helicopter.
Hope you had so much fun at Little Gym goldenlove3 and he didn't mind moving his nap. I would stare at myself all day too if I looked that adorable in the mirror!
Oh my goodness LizInFL! That alligator is RIGHT there. How cool is that?! You look amazing per usual and I enjoy B's pictures more and more each week as you share more of his stories. The stuff he says is just too much. C is such a sweetheart. She melts my heart every week.

Thanks sophiegrace. Took them to the doctor on Monday just to make sure their colds weren't something more serious (whopping cough has been going around our area) and I asked the Dr for suggestions on getting DS2 to take a bottle. She wasn't that helpful and just said to keep trying, but she did suggest using an eye dropper. Her concern is dehydration if he's going 8+ hours without fluid. He more than makes up for it when I get home, which is good. Life would just be so much easier if he would just take a bottle.

jubilantsquirrel that's all I get as far as suggestions too. I wonder if you can give him BM the same way I give M her nexium? Tiny 1 mL syringe down the side of her cheek as far back as it'll go. I had to start with a tenth of a mL at a time and it took forever to get her 5mLs in, but now she can take 1/2 mL at a time without trying to spit it out. Judging on how she took her oral vaccine yesterday I could probably do the entire mL. Any pharmacy will have them. I found the 3 and 5 mL syringes too wide to get back far enough in her mouth. I can mail you some from work if you can't get them and he's still refusing.

You are so sweet, thank you! I hadn't thought about using a syringe. We've had to give him Tylenol a couple of times and he's pretty good with not spitting it out. I'll have MH drop by the pharmacy today to pick some up!
I'm having one of those days where I feel like I just want to lay down and cry. I weighed Lilah today. She's right about 12lb 7oz. I can't help but feel like I'm somehow failing her. I thought having a 2nd kid follow a similar pattern would make me feel almost better about Lillian also being small. But instead I just feel like I've somehow not given either of them what they need. Lilah's appointment isn't for 2 weeks. I know both of them are happy little girls. Lilah is doing very well with her development. Lillian was always ahead. But I feel like so much emphasis is placed on growth, I must be doing something wrong.
I did work off some anxiety by pulling weeds. So at least my yard looks better.

Oh ClassyMrsA, I am so sorry. Lilah is thriving, like out of the park ahead of the game. I promise you that she would not be if she wasn't getting exactly what she needed. *hugs*
Thanks sophiegrace and waitwhat. Lillian's first dr was never worried about her, chalked it up to genetics. Our new dr isn't worried about Lillian being small because that's how she's been. But Lilah she was concerned about at 2 months and she's still not gaining a ton. We are in the "normal" range, but she's still dropping in percentile. I feel like if we'd been able to keep our old dr, he wouldn't be worried at all since she's just like Lillian. But we're not.

*HUG* ClassyMrsA. It's so hard not to worry but you're doing a great job. I'm always impressed with how active you are with those girls. Lilah seems to be doing great but hopefully you will start to see an increase in her percentile so you can get some peace of mind.

We have some crazy ass wind today. There's already over half a million without power in the area and ours went on and off a couple times. Hopefully it makes it through 8 when it's supposed to die down.
On the plus side, H lost power at work so he got to come home early. And it's most likely going to still be out tomorrow too so he'll stay home if that's the case.
Oh and I'm expecting a package so I'm watching for the mail like a hawk otherwise it's going to end up across the street.
goldenlove3 That sounds like crazy wind!! At least your H got to come home early. We lived in CO in 2013 during the epic flooding they had that fall. DH's office in Boulder was closed for like a month because the electrical system was damaged so he worked from home or at his boss's mansion. I was off work for a week because of flooding at the school and in the surrounding area.

Wow that's crazy!! I can't imagine how bad that must have been. I went to Nashville right after the huge flood a few years ago and I was shocked at how high the water got.
Just heard from my SIL that works at the energy company. The number is at 646k with 3000 wires down (just at her company). This is officially the largest outage besides the blackout on 03. FX we keep our power. It's supposed to be over soon. It was actually a lovely, sunny, 50 degree day too.
Some of these coos sounds remarkably like real real words. It's always shocking.
I could swear M just said okay
D absolutely said "hi" back to me this morning. It doesn't matter that she didn't know what she was saying lol. It was clear as a bell.
I always wonder when you officially count it as a first word. Sometimes when C cries, he says "maaa" so it sounds like he's calling for me, but I'm not counting it because he probably isn't doing it on purpose.

I didn't count it with DS until it was clear that he was saying a word with purpose. His first word actually was "hi" and he said it at 14.5 months. Before that there was a lot of "mamamama" and "dadadada" but he wasn't really saying it to either of us.
