I clip super carefully. I wait till they are dead asleep and the only cut what comes easily. I think I only cut DS once, and I felt like shit for hours. mls5871
We've been fighting the toddlers at bed time. Last night I stole blankets because they were on the floor due to playing. DH had to give it back while A was completely asleep because she was still whimpering from a nightmare. Settled right down. Ugh ><
My BFF came over to be with us so that was nice. DS seems to love his sister for now so that's a huge relief.
My boobs hurt a little today. :/ So far nothing I can't handle so far.
I'm so excited about all the babies were having!
I was really getting my hopes up about not dealing with engorgment but then day 4 hit and they were killing me by the end of the night. I've resorted to pumping a few times now. Hoping it tapers off soon because it is messing with my emoshuns. I keep thinking this time seems like it could be better than with C but in reality I know it probably isn't.
Are you doing anything to help yourself dry up? Or just dealing with it until it works itself out?
I left the house daily when I was on maternity leave with DS. Some days I'd be waiting for DH to get home from work, hand off the baby and run to the supermarket just to keep my sanity. Our house is small and I get stir crazy pretty quickly. I imagine it'll be the same once DD is here since we'll be out to drop off/pick up DS from preschool during the week.
I'm trying to get out of the house several times a week, running errands or meeting DH for lunch. If it was nicer out, I'd be going for walks, but it's not warm enough here for that. The days I haven't gotten out of the house, I've been putting in some time with work, so it's at least a connection with the 'outside' world. I find this time it's a been easier on the weekends to get out because of DD. She's in DC during the week still. I don't want to have her in the house all day long on the weekends, so it forces us to get out.
Day 12 post partum, and it again seems like my body has decided that it will not lactate for baby #2 either. I am slowly growing to accept it even though at times my feels escalate about it.
I'm sure it is an entertaining sight though, me periodically just tweaking my nipples as I sit here at home. Like, hey, you got anything in there? Nah?? Okay just checking.......

My Dr told me to keep them away from heat, supported but not tight, and cold compress. It's not awful yet but if it gets really bad I don't know what to do. I'm scared to pump because of getting mastitis last time.
Dr also suggested 4 ibuprofen if the pain gets really bad.

My appt yesterday was good, I'm 2.5-3cm now (was 1.5 a week ago) so at least there's progress even though I know it doesn't mean anything. She did the membrane sweep and now I'm really crampy and having a few more contractions but nothing super strong or regular yet. With DD she did the membranes on a Tues morning, I had light contractions Wed, strong contractions Wed MOTN and DD was born Thurs at 4pm. I'm hoping this goes similarly and I could have a baby by tomorrow night (although I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high). But if nothing by tomorrow morning I have to work! Only 3 days of work left though even if baby hasn't arrived. This home stretch part really is harder the second time around!!!

@priss08 if you want more help drying up, peppermint can help. I drank a ton of peppermint tea, which happens to also be delicious if you like the flavor of mint.

Sorry you are stuggling with this too. I hope you are able to see an LC to try and get some support. *hugs*.

OMG thanks! I'll definitely try this, I love mint teas anyway.
