Alex was wide awake at 4 am. I finally got him back to sleep. He slept last night from 4:15 pm until now. When I moved him to his crib at 9 he woke up, nursed both sides (thankfully) and back to sleep. And then another wakeup to eat at 2 am. I had to use the manual pump last evening to get some relief.
I may make it on time to work today. I should shower and drink my first cup of coffee. We started to use our coffee maker again with the McCafe coffee. I like it.

Dropped off Jane at daycare and now we're sitting in the lab waiting to get our lab work done for biometrics so we can get $100 gift cards through my work's wellness program. Then of to breakfast because we couldn't eat. My husband's friends are coming to visit this weekend. So I'm calling in sick this afternoon and tomorrow maybe. I'm definitely keeping Jane home from daycare, but I don't know if I want a break from logging in or not.
In so tired and feel like crap from this cold. But it's nice out, so I took DS2 and baby for a walk to get some fresh air. Not much in the agenda today. I don't think I feel like making lunch or cleaning up, so maybe I'll tell DS1 he was a good boy and can get McD's when he gets home from school. 😊

Oh and I have a huge announcement .... baby D nursed before dinner yesterday without the nipple shield!! It fell off when he started the first side and he kept going without missing a beat. Then he did the second side without it and hadn't used it since. This could be life changing!! Lol.

DS has only woken up once the past couple nights. Yay! Yesterday he even slept until 9 am....that was like 14 hours of sleep. I'm about to make my morning latte, and then I have an appointment for the IUD at 10:30. I also have to go grocery shopping, get new tires put on my car, and finish some homework before my class at 6. So it's a busy day for me! I'm just trying to get a bunch of stuff done before I go back to work on Monday.

mrswillie woohoo! I used one with DS and it was amazing once he finally nursed without it. Congrats!!
I overscheduled myself today. About to go for a run and then lunch with a mom I met at DS's school (son in same class) then back to shower, change and bring S to work to show her off. A little exhausted just thinking about it and trying to figure out what to do when she's hungry. I might try and take a break between walking around with her in the pumping room and let her eat. I work with like 90% men so I don't want it to be all awkward. Going to dress S in the "she be little but she be fierce" onesie a friend gave us.

Yay! That's awesome! Those things are so yucky! Fingers crossed it stays like that!
I'm hoping we can replicate our naps from yesterday. I want to run to Michaels at some point. We're doing our first long car ride tomorrow and overnighting at my parents so I need to figure out what we need. It's kind of a mini test run for our plane trip in 2 weeks.
legalbeagle That's my favorite Shakespeare quote. Need to find a onesie like that for my little.
@cahistoryteacher Good luck!
We're on our second trip right now (shorter drive than it is to my parents house where we went last time), but first time staying in a hotel. Going to eat all of the Mexican food in San Antonio while my husband is at a conference. This is our practice run before our trip to Denver next week, which also involves a plane. 😬

Afternoon, I am part of the 800k people in Michigan to loose power and of course...They won't get it up and running till Sunday most likely. But we have a generator running they fridge and the furnace and some small electronics. I want a nap so bad but I have the toddler. Who happened to go.down for a nap at 10am. I think she didn't sleep well last night after we turned off the generator. Did I also mention that we have a cold front coming ..Hooray.
I am drinking hot tea right now. Thanks to a gas stove.

Geez, I hope the power is up sooner than expected. Stay warm and safe!
I need to do an Ikea trip soon. It'd be easier to leave the kids home with DH and go by myself or my cousin, but I remember those boxes can get heavy! I want to buy a wardrobe and a toy storage furniture. Trying to figure out what fits where. Oh, and those boxes that go in the dresser drawers...I want to konmari the boys dresser for sure!

littlelion, H and I bought an Ikea wardrobe while I was pregnant. The boxes were HUGE and HEAVY. Also, putting it together really tested our relationship. but, it looks great and only cost $149. So there's that.
