I'm thankful that dd is finally getting to the point where every diaper is not filled with poop or a shart. I find girl bits harder to clean than boy bits.
I'm not thankful that ds, my once a day pooper, is pooping 3-4 times a day this week. He's been eating a ton so I suspect a growth spurt is imminent but toddler poops are no joke. Confession: I've had him in disposables this week because I just cannot.
I am thankful that I'm not working right now. Dh ended up going to urgent care last night. He has strep. I currently have a fever, my throat is on fire, and my glands are so swollen that I sound ridiculous when I speak. I am camped out at cvs waiting for minute clinic to open. Dh is staying home today and I am thankful for his help because I plan on sleeping all day.
Sorry for being sick again rinny and all the other crap. Hope you catch a break soon.
DD potty trained 2 weeks before B was born, so I got 2 whole weeks of not having to change any poopy diapers! Lol. I agree though. Toddler poop is gross.
B is 12lbs 11oz! He's doing well. He got 3 shots, so I'm bracing myself for a fussy day and night. He passed out as soon as I put him in his car seat, poor guy.
And I have strep too. Ugghhh. Chances both children will remain healthy? I am terrified of either one getting sick.
Oh noooooooooo. If it's any consolation, they told me babies don't typically catch strep when I had it and L made it out fine. Pretty sure I caught it from my toddler, but he didn't have any symptoms. FX. So miserable, hope you feel better soon.

Big hugs for all this sick moms, dads, and kids. It's a terrible time of year.
W wouldn't stop screaming for the longest time and nothing I did made him stop until I finally found the correct pacifier, apparently. Too early for this.
I took the kids to the park with the walking path for an hour and a half. It was nice to get some walking in and ds had a blast on the playground. Everyone is fed, cleanish, and getting ready for naptime.
rinny and heybulldog56 aw man, feel better ladies. I'm still a tad stuffy from my sickness but am 98% better. My roughest weeks where I felt the most overwhelmed were when I was sick and the kids were too. I hope everyone gets healthy soon. It's been such a germy sickness season.
opheliainwaders I'm done with this weather too. Pick a lane Mother Nature! My poor daffodils are about to bloom. I hope they survive the freezing temps and potential snow coming our way. Whomp whomp.

So sorry for all the sickies. One benefit of being a homebody is my toddler isn't picking up all the germs this year. And I'm not in the office to bring home germs.
So I guess I'm thankful for mat leave and for PPD keeping us home?
I'm also thankful for Zoloft and the support group. I'm starting to feel less like Jekyl and Hyde.

I'm thankful for the sunshine. I never thought I'd get some beautiful days with a January baby. It's nice doing preschool drop off without ice, snow, etc.
Oh and add me to the list of being Thankfuk for Zoloft. It saved me at the end of this pregnancy....and definitely keeps me together this postpartum period.

Mine are blooming already and snow is coming tomorrow.
I'm thanks E had a good nap this morning and I was able to get stuff done. My domperidone arrived today finally I really hope this increases my supply.
CD ladies - what are you doing for overnights? L has stopped pooping at night (woohoo!) so I'm ready to stop overnight diaper changes, but I don't think a single prefold will cut it and I think our current solution for DS1 is still too bulky and I am totally blanking on what we did in the beginning for him.

Fx this is what works for you!!! You're doing great mama - I totally admire your dedication. 😁👍
carrots that's so sweet but so sad about this years flowers. I had one open today. I went and picked it since they're calling for 1-3 inches of snow tomorrow. A little bit of sun during a snow storm!

I'm thankful for the beautiful weather! I fixed up a really meh shade spot for W and DS1 and I worked on weeding my horribly overgrown front garden (read: I weeded and DS1 threw mud all over).
I'm thankful for water not working. It meant the zoo was giving free admission if you were willing to deal with no bathrooms or water fountains or cafes. I was more than willing.
I'm thankful for my dogs. DS1 has been on a kick about leading them all over the house on their leashes and they put up with it beautifully.
Our daffodils have come and gone! So crazy that they're already done blooming at the beginning of March. My dad always cuts some for my birthday and this year he brought 2 sad looking little guys to my birthday lunch as that was all that was left.
Awww sad! My irises have been overtaken and hidden by giant weeds. I discovered 3 buds on one that I uncovered today! I'm hoping the others start getting some as I get rid of the weeds.
Mh raised the crib mattress back up since we will be moving dd from the pnp in our room to the nursery soon. It's so weird to see it up that high again.
I started setting aside some of the too small newborn stuff for friends/consignment/donation. Some of it was just for dd but some of it was reused from ds. He was so tiny. And now dd won't fit in it.

N is in the ring sling while I wait for my (reheated, homemade) pizza to cool down. Ate a salad over her head. DS is stirring from his nap. I'm solo until after bedtime if you couldn't tell.
I'm thankful for my and my families health. I'm also thankful that I happened to be up with C at 3am when a family friend of ours asked on fb if anyone was up. I said I was and she sent me a message. Her husband who had been battling cancer for 3 years was going on hospice today. I got the news that he passed this afternoon. I had gotten the feeling she expected it to be days not hours, so I am thankful I was able to talk to her when she needed someone to talk to. I'm also thankful that, while we are far from well off, we are comfortable enough that I could send them a few trays of food without any financial burden. I know not many are able to and that meant so much to me when my dad passed.
