C drinks sooooo much milk. Like, too much. I'm trying to cut him back. MH drinks a lot of milk and now L is drinking it too, so we go through a lot. If he weren't drinking it I wouldn't be concerned though, he has a good enough diet.
This is B and my H, too. We go through close to 2 gal/week.
I'll admit, though, when I was pregnant and now that I'm nursing, I usually have one big glass with dessert each night.
yummeecookee I was just thinking about pics the other day. More so because I realized that I won't have single shots of n with Santa or the Easter bunny year to year. I put all 3 of her Easter bunny pics side by side last year to compare them and now I guess they'll just have h in them!
N drinks a lot of milk too. She has always drank from a straw sippy and would have it first thing in the morning and throughout the day. I recently decided to not let her use the sippies anymore (more so because she chews on the straws and puts holes in them) and she uses regular cups but has to keep it at the table or in the kitchen. I assume this will slow down her milk consumption a bit.
Hi! Both kids are napping. I should wake n up soon since it's been over an hour. I just finished packing away H's infant seat (😭) and switching Ns car seat around for h and installing her new seat. I hate dealing with car seats!
Oh and a refresher on car seats because I would not have remembered if hadn't read the manual today- both convertible seats we have (Chicco and diono) are only supposed to use the latch system up to 40lbs, then you need to use the belt. Most of our kids are probably around there, so just a reminder!
@sing2phins It gets better. I just went to that guy's page, the one ranting about women taking his stuff, and he's a flat earther!
We're obviously dealing with an intellectual giant.😂
Ok, at that point he is deemed completely unintelligent on any level and I take everything he spouts with a grain of salt. What a waste of space and air.

You have dessert every night? Is this an immediately after dinner thing?
We eat b/n 6:30 and 7, and I don't usually eat dessert until after both kids are in bed and we're watching TV. But yes, at least 5 nights a week, I have dessert.

When both kids are screaming, why does MH insist on making small talk on the phone? It drives me insane. I told you they were screaming and you hear them screaming, so cut to the chase and say what needs to be said and hang up. Don't get annoyed when I don't want to talk about my work day, your work day and the weather.

Tell me more, do you make a desert each night, or is it like ice cream or cookies?
ETA: we have ice cream probably 3-4 nights a week. Our Freezer currently houses 5 different containers of ice cream. We *might* have an addiction. Lol.
ETA2: this might explain the size of my ass.
Lol.
It varies. Sometimes it's just a couple cookies or a little bit of candy (M&Ms or kisses), sometimes I'll make a pan of brownies or similar--which obviously lasts several days. My guilty pleasure is Mrs Smith's (frozen) Dutch apple pie. I got hooked on that shortly after Bradley was born; so, so good.
We eat a lot more ice cream in the summer; I love it, too, and have kind of converted DH (he didn't used to eat it much).
snoopmommymom DH is more like you, it's an occasional thing for him. I just don't feel satisfied until I've had a little something sweet.
Mh prefers it because they only take like 5 minutes as opposed to her 30-45 minute baths.
I love long baths! They aren't part of our bedtime routine though. I'm all about sitting on my phone for 45 min while the kids play in the bath and I drink wine. I think of it as a spa day for everyone
I saw a commercial for shonda's newest show, the catch, while I was watching greys earlier. The lead actress is the same one from "the killing" so I'm going to watch. It comes on in a few minutes.
Oh and I bought the tickets to do the lantern festival again last week. I informed DH last night. He took it well since the last time we discussed it he was on the fence about it.

It's the only time Cadence doesn't make us play with her, so I don't understand mh's hate for it. I love it. I let her stay in there forever. It's nice quiet time.

Wait, your kids don't make you play WITH them in the tub?! C always makes me play. So I'm down on the floor, getting splashed at when his action figures dive into the water.
Lol, occasionally but bath time seems to be the one time that they're relatively fine without me playing with them.

B expects me to play with her. And ever since I have been bathing B and C together I feel I need to mediate as they both fight for the best "spot" to sit in or the same toy or the most bubbles or who gets to hold the soap, etc etc. But even with all that, it still is a time where they are contained to one spot and not going wild all over my house. So I will take it! Baths usually last about 30min.
My child now requests showers over baths. Too soon!!!
Ds did this for a while, no he only wants baths! It can change back!
Same. The summer before they turned 2 we went on a beach vacation and the hotel had a giant walk in shower. He took a lot of showers that week bc it was easy to quickly do it when we came back from the beach before lunch or something. He got really into it and kept it up at home for about a month then suddenly stopped and hasn't showered since
Come back! Check in. We NEED to know how you and your littles are doing.
ggandlee has popped in a couple of times in the past few days.
Here I am! Just home from work after my first of a string of night shifts and about to try to get some sleep. I don't have anything exciting to report. M and C both have nasty coughs and snotty noses, but they have the unfortunate luck of having me as a mom, so they just have to suck it up, not much sympathy and no special treatment, just lots of nose sucking and blowing going on here. It's glamorous for sure. I am waiting to hear back about a little job situation. My hospital is building a new hospital in a different part of the state, and obviously will need doctors. It's a long shot that the stars would align correctly. I have a lot of mixed feelings about it and don't know that I even want it to work out. However, my fortune cookie from Pei Wei the other day told me that I would be moving into a fabulous new house within the year. I'm thinking that maybe my fortune is just confused and a year and a half behind? So yeah, there's that. It is spring/Easter time, which is my biggest weakness time of year as far as candy goes. I will eat ALL of the starburst jelly beans and Robbins eggs. ALL OF THEM. So, the weight that I worked so hard to lose, is creeping it's way back on, one stupid, addictive, so freaking good, jelly bean at a time. M is the "super kid" at daycare next week and so I have to find time while working nights to decorate a poster board with some pictures of her and try to make it look cute. I'm thinking I'll glue pompoms all over it and maybe a couple of pictures and print her name really big in glitter and call it good. Also, this is the wrong post, but I'm pretty sure M is right handed. She still does a lot with both, but tends to prefer the right for most things more and more. I love y'all! I am trying to read and sort of keep up, but I'm a few days behind. I did see that melaniesue05 's (is that the right tag?) dad is cancer free, which is amazing, wonderful news!!!! Now it's time for me to pass out.
