Today is my 4th anniversary! We've done a lot in 4 years. I'm planning to go to the craft store to get some things I need for a playdate I'm hosting as well as some other little things for a project I want to do. There's a lunch bunch, but Lillian sounds sniffly still so I'll probably skip it. I'm hoping to get a workout in during one of Lilah's naps and of course a shower. Tonight, dh and I are going to dinner while Lillian plays with my mom. Yes, that means Lilah will be with us. My mom says she can't handle them together alone. Ok.
Here's my throwback. A few of my favorite wedding pictures.
Absolutely gorgeous ClassyMrsA !!! ETA and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY !!
danib I'm no help.. I can't wear lipstick I look like such V a clown, literally lol. ive always wanted to but it doesn't matter what shade I wear, I look odd.
waitwhat Thank you! And yes. My wedding dress got too hot so I switched to the red dress at the end. That first picture is from us leaving the reception. I also wore it for the breakfast the next morning. I still have it, though I doubt I could fit into it right now!

I think O has a little bug. He's been at daycare for 3 days... must be some kind of record. At first I thought it was pink eye! Because his one eye was really pink and crusty but it looked better this morning. Now both eyes are kind of pink and he sneezed a lot this morning (with snot for the first time). I'm going to continue to monitor him for a bit, trying not to jump the gun and call the ped just yet.
I don't have any luck with lip stuff danib. Idk wtf I do but it's always gone within minutes. I feel like I've tried every variation of products. I've heard good things about the Kat Von D one, that's disappointing that it didn't hold up.
ClassyMrsA...GIRL!! I am absolutely swooning over your wedding dress! Such gorgeous pictures. Have an amazing anniversary. I hope Lilah is an angel so that you and your H can enjoy dinner.
LOVE the Sephora play box waitwhat. Some months are meh, but I've found some of my new favorites in others.
I hope O is ok cookswithwine9! How's he liking his big boy car seat? The bucket seat is getting a bit difficult to carry around.
Last night was a blur. I'm not feeling too exhausted though so whatever. Today I'd like to hit up the recycling center and then this afternoon we're getting glass replaced in the sunroom and our internet thing switched out. Modem? Router? No idea. The thing that gives me google and the ability to talk to my frands. I assume both guys will show up within five minutes of M falling asleep for her nap.
ClassyMrsA happy anniversary!! I love the pics. You look so beautiful and happy!
Nothing on the agenda today except hopefully an Orangetheory class at noon. I bought a membership last week but yesterday when I tried to register for class today, the website was trying to charge me. Um, no. I called and left a vm but haven't heard back yet. Maybe I can just drop by there around 11:45 and see if I can jump in without pre-registering.
Awful week almost over! Girl dog looks good, vet prescribed anti anxiety medicine for trips like going to the vet or things that really stress her out! It's a trial. My dentist appointment got cancelled till the end of the month luckily they called before I took my anti anxiety meds! Oil company is causing issues (lady hung up on me was my final straw) so after delivery today, I'm switching companies. Why is it so hard to deliver oil around the 1st of the month? We've has issues with this company since we moved here and after today, we're parting ways! Just grr I hate it though and for some reason I'm the worst at letting go of stuff like this.

Wow waitwhat! That looks similar to this area. The ground has just been so wet and soft this winter so the wind knocked everything right over. I'm always terrified during wind storms because we have 10 huge trees in our yard but luckily only a few smaller branches fell.
danib I use the Burts bees tinted lip balm and put clear gloss over it. It's worked pretty well for me. But I'm not sure it would last like you're wanting.
So a followup to yesterday's semi meltdown. I decided to look at Lillian's growth chart. She was 53% at her first appointment, 34% at 2 months, 18% at 4m, 11% at 6m, and finally 3% at 9 months. Since then she's been mostly between 2 and 10% for weight. That makes me feel better because Lilah seems to be following the same curve as Lillian so far. As long as her head circumference doesn't fall off, I'll try (again? Harder?) to relax.
I hope O is feeling better soon cookswithwine9 !! My sister just put her two toddlers (3.5, 2.5) back in daycare after a year off and they've all been passing around various things the month of February. Oy.
waitwhat That's scary!! That's a a huge tree!! We have a somewhat smaller one in our yard that we *really* need to get cut down before it falls over a fence into the neighbors yard. It's not huge (wide) but it's tall.
Surprisingly my patience is with me today. That literally never happens. I usually lose my shit at least I once a day. Then again, it's only 11:15am so I guess there's still time.
I always wait for A and A to go down for a nap so I can "get things done" and then without fail by the time they go downf I'm so spent that I sit and do nothing lol.
Not in the office today bc neighbor had a "last minute interview". Just kind of annoyed because we confirm every Sunday night that Monday and Thursday are good and then last minute she always has something on one of the days. I get it, it's not your FT job... But it's not like we aren't paying her, and she committed. We pay her damn f'ing good too - cash so it's like $40/hr for 6 hrs ($30 if you disregard the fact she doesn't have to pay tax on it).
Anyway, fun stuff!! Our honeymoon in Harbour Island!! Please take me back there!!!
sophiegrace I like the convertible we got! O seems to like riding in it too. We got the Graco 4ever. There is lots of removable padding that I left in so O is snug. But I can remove when he gets bigger.
I know nothing about lipstick or where the patience hang out is
But I do know that the sleep fairy found us last night!!?!?!! At first, it took an hour to get E down, then 4 more settles in the next hour until I decided to just go to bed and take her with me. H is out of town so there's plenty of room in the bed. She didn't wake up until 3am!!!!!! So she just wants to be close to mama. I get it, it's warm, and soft, and smells good but wont work for the long term. I don't sleep as well and H doesn't feel safe. H is still gone tonight, so I'll do it again and hope she just learns how to sleep and will do it on her own tomorrow night.
That is fantastic news hangry !!! Even if you could just get one more tonight out of E. I've had two "good" nights and I'm surprised at how much of a rejuvenation it's been. Like 2-3 HR stretches feel like heaven. Get two of those a night and I'm good !! Yeah she actually did a long stretch by herself, flat in the pack n play (infant level) last night - but also like you that was after an hour plus-ish of fussing and waking. The second I come and stay in the room it's like she knows and settles right down. H andAlec have resorted to staying in the guest bedroom bc his/her wake ups are just off by like half hour that as one settles the other wakes and reawakens the first one. It's sad bc I miss my husband but just til we get them in cribs I tell myself.
Fwiw my H has been sleeping on the office futon for, like, 75% of D's life already. This is partially because both his snoring and his stupid alarm that he snoozes 500 times before getting up for work were messing with my already interrupted sleep, but also for safety because I frequently bring D into bed with me after her last wakeup. Just a suggestion in case it's something you and YH are willing to think about until E's sleep improves.
After O was born, MH slept in the guest room for a while, but hasn't much this time around. If E continues to sleep better with me, I might just kick him out. I think part of the problem is that E is outgrowing her bassinet but i can't move her to the crib which is in a shared room with O because her sleep is so crappy. So I set up our pnp in my room but ours doesn't have a half height, so I have to lower her practically to the floor. I also don't think the surface is as smooth or comfortable to sleep on. Or, she's just a crappy sleeper.

Hi all!
I'm home again with sick kids. Well, DS1 seems to be back to normal. He has a lingering cough, but otherwise is well. DS2 is hopefully turning a corner here. He was awake this morning for about 2 hours and was content instead of crying. He's currently napping on his swing, so that's good.

The throwback theme made Me briefly reactivate FB so I could save some of my favorite pictures to my phone. I forgot how little both DS1 and the dog were at one point!
I'm watching J roll to his side from his back. He's thisclose to making it to his belly. I swear both my kids rolled back to belly first the day after their 4 month appointments.
DS2 is also super close! I think his arm gets in the way.
It was just chaos at my house for a couple hours. O didn't nap at daycare again today (3rd day this week, and yes he needs it) so he was a mess. Screaming No to everything, crying over little things, whining nonstop etc. E missed her evening cat nap, so needed to be held or else she was screaming. And H is out of town. There was a bit too much yelling, but everyone is fed, dishes are washed, laundry was started, O is now asleep, and I am feeding E now and hoping for an easy put down.
If this is what you stay at home moms do with 2 kids every day, you must be saints. Bless your heart, soul, and patience!
hangry Hardest part is over, just hang in there. I can't imagine O waking all night so it should just be E ya gotta focus on. And you. Make sure you take care of you!! Hopefully E gives you a good couple hours up at the front so you can either sit and relax or catnap.
