For the record I wish he would be more into tv. Because then I could get a few things done instead of redirecting his constant climbing, pulling on gate, getting into the trash can Etc etc etc
It took s1 until about 3 until he'd sit and watch Tv. Even if it was on for him. E is following in those footsteps
W is definitely the kid who stands right in front of the TV if it's on. ampaints can attest he goes into like a trance. He'll respond and dance with Elmo but it's less than a foot from the TV.
I wish i could use tv but we both agreed no screens cuz we see how it affects I, she turns into zero personality zombi, when she has spentvthe weekend at grammas with the tv on constantly.
M really doesn't like straight water unless it's hot outside, so he always gets a splash of apple juice in his water. Some days I just let him see me putting a few drops in. I'm not going to stress about it because it gets him to drink his water.
my kids drink all the juice. A started getting it because i needed her to poop. and then c gets it because well, his sister has it so he must have some too.

Same here. I'm sure my kids drink too much juice, eat too much candy, and watch too much TV.

Idk why I don't give juice. The kid gets a cookie (or two) every night after dinner so I'm not opposed to sweets. Maybe it's just because we don't do juice so I don't think to buy it.
moana is my soul mate as disney princess' go. you know the part when she is on top of the mountain and sees the sun shinning down onto the water and than takes off running and singing for it - yes, that's me right there. that moment totally captures how i feel about the beach. and i have had "that moment" many times before.
I think the only reason h and I are weird about sugar and sweets is that we're both classified as morbidly obese (bmi which I know is bs) so we're very conscious of what w eats. He gets to try sweets when we're out but I try to keep it as close to whole healthy foods as possible... And then we eat desserts after he's asleep. I don't judge anyone for feeding their kids sweets though. Unless it's Coke in a bottle. 😉
H had a real behavior problem with sugar when he was little, so I've been cautious. My dad will give him a bite of cookie and then talk about him being full of energy 😂 Gee, I wonder what led to that 🙄
Also, my dad used to buy me so much candy when I would visit and then I would hide it like contraband at my mom's. He's a tall skinny guy who can eat whatever he wants nd not gain weight so he didn't pass on good eating habits to any of his kids. He now has diabetes and had a stroke because of it. I still struggle with knowing the difference between healthy eating and restricting and using food as a reward. Tl: Dr I think I have a weird relationship with food.

S1 gets a treat after lunch and dinner. Cookie, popsicles, fruit snacks are a few we do often. He only gets one if he finishes his meal. Sometimes, on rare occasions, he'll say he's to full.
