DS1 woke up at 1:30, I couldn't go back to sleep for what seemed like forever. Cheer tryouts tonight then I'm on spring break!! I will be taking some sleep aid tomorrow night so I can get a full night's sleep, I'm drained.

Happy Friday!!! I'm working from home today, but Noah woke at 5:30 coughing and DH left for work at 6, so I have been up and logged on since shortly thereafter. But it's super nice to drink my coffee and work in silence before all three boys wake up.
AB woke up in hysterics at like 9 last night and she basically attached herself to my neck. I was totally OK sleeping like that and soaking up all that I could.
Things are still up in the air for my grandfather and, of course, my mom still needs help. Didn't think it was fair to leave my sister with all of that so I sent H with the kids to his parents for the weekend. I just miss my babies! Glad they'll get to see my FIL for his birthday though.

Vivian woke up throwing up at 1:30 last night. Her and ds both throw up when they get ear infections. But now I have the worst sore throat this morning and my body aches. I hope that if I take some time to rest this morning I will feel better as the day goes on.
Nothing much planned for the day. Dh comes home sometime this evening from his conference.

Sending good real estate vibes to @wafflesfriendswork and jnetx !!
After our condo fiasco on Tuesday we're a little discouraged. We could just stay put and save for a few more years but real estate has been going up 10-20% PER YEAR here. They have been talking about "the bubble" bursting since the 90s but it just keeps going up and up and up. So we can't possibly save faster than the market prices are increasing. Sigh. Right now nobody can afford to move and buy something new so they are not selling their current places so there is a huge supply issue.
I told H we should go befriend some lonely little old lady so that she leaves her house to us.
elenetxu, that was so funny! amch8, I hope you feel better good luck with home buying @wafflesfriendswork and jnetx, laurie12820 you have a snow day today? We're barely getting much here but 14 teachers took sick days today!
I have to call the director of the Y after what happened last night. A had basketball class and it was a complete fiasco with adults and teenagers running on to the courts. A child got knocked over and then a basketball came flying at us so I pushed Z out of the way and I took it right to the side of my face which bent my glasses.
elenetxu that was hilarious! Lol ove the baby just strolling in, in the Walker.
AFM, last night was pretty successful as far as the kids sleeping. I mean it wasn't perfect but sleeping away from home never is. Good news is my husband went by the house this morning and we have power! Hanging out at my friends house until my husband gets off work, then moving back in to our house.
lonegalathomeamch8 Maybe the early rising sleep issues be fixed by daylight savings? I seem to have blocked out what happened last year...
elenetxu that was the best. I keep watching it again and again.
I shouldn't have bragged about my sleep and how good my H was being yesterday. Last night he abandoned me at Henry's bedtime (which is Louis's witching hour) to go to happy hour and was a total ass when he got home. He did a bunch of cleaning this morning and seems to be sorry... I'm too tired today to be pissed so I'm moving on, but LOL all hell would break loose if I did that to him. My big accomplishment of the day is managing to take a shower while home alone with both kids (Thank you Elmo and vibrating RNP!) so I'm calling that a win. My mom is coming over later with lunch and Henry is now at daycare, so hopefully baby and I can both sneak in a nap.
We woke up this morning to no heat! This is the 3rd time in 3 years our boiler has malfunctioned. It is currently 62 in the house and snowing outside
Oh no! I hope it's an easy and inexpensive fix. If you need to warm up you are more than welcome to come here. It's nice and toasty from the wood stove.

Tell me what other family-friendly vehicles I should consider. I might be going to look at a Honda Odyssey this afternoon. I swore I would never own a minivan, but thinking about two kids in car seats in my sedan has me like

CoachTsWife and @mamabear02 I love my pilot. My House (or husband, whatever one works) wouldn't even consider a minivan though. I like that we can fit all our stuff in, fold down the third row, and have plenty of room for our dog without him being able to just walk up by us and Molly. We don't have the captain seats.

What else do I need to look at?
We just bought a Chrysler Pacifica. I test drove the odyssey and didn't love it. I preferred the Toyota Sienna. The odyssey was the most expensive for what you got as well. The minivan is more kid/family friendly than the 3 row SUV imo.
If you can afford the top of the line Pacifica it comes with a vacuum! I couldn't and was pretty jealous.

I love my Odyssey. It's been amazing. Safety has been great (we had one totaled in an accident) and it's so easy to get kids and crap in and out of. DH currently wants to trade it in for a truck (crew cab), and has been going back and forth about it. I really am not ready to get rid of my odyssey and I hate when DH gets the new car itch.
Also fwiw, after I got rear ended in my odyssey last year we had both a toyota sienna and a Chrysler Town and Country as rentals. I hated the Toyota it made me feel like an old lady, but I really liked the town and country. However, when we picked up my vehicle when it was finished the owner of the autobody shop said he would definitely pick the odyssey over the town and country based on what he knows about both vehicles. Anyways, minivans are not all bad. They can make your life so much easier!
(I've also owned a Pilot and loved it, but now with three smaller kids, the Odyssey has been a better vehicle for us. When the kids are older I'd probably like to go back to a pilot).
I have a pilot and it's great with two young kids. I'm a little nervous with three in car seats. The third row is decently sized and was the most comfortable of all the 3row suvs I looked at. I couldn't imagine climbing in the way back to help a kid with a car seat though. That would get old fast. To get capt chairs on a pilot it will cost you as it's only available with the top of the line elite model which is close to $50k.
My friends with vans all like how the doors slide open so you don't have to worry about hitting other cars in parking lots.
I have never driven a van, but like the Pacifica for the options and price tag.

Ten hour delay yesterday was due to a "severe" fuel leak on the plane. They kept trying to fix it with no luck. They delayed the flight several times and finally switched us to a different later flight. I was already awake since 5am and got to airport at 8am, flew out at 6pm. By the time we landed and got our rental car and drove to our new final destination (due to snow), it was 11PM!!! I was sooo tired driving. Now we are snowed in temporarily and my daughter hasn't had milk since yesterday afternoon. Oh well. Hoping she gets to play in the snow after nap for the first time!
