DD basically stinks at sleeping. Ok, maybe I'm being dramatic. She does give us a 4 hour stretch after her daily bottle, but then she's up every 2 hours all night long. Last night I saw 12, 2:30 and 4:30am. At 7 weeks and almost 13 lbs, I thought I'd be getting some longer stretches. What gives?
All the coffee for me because I swore I'd walk the mall with DD early this morning before it opens after preschool drop off.

PSA: I lost 5 lbs and haven't had any supply issues. So, if anyone was thinking about trying Weight Watchers, but was worried about supply (I was!) the program for nursing moms is working well for me.
Dd is finally getting her one month shots today after last week's insurance debacle. I'm still pissed about that. Plus we received a letter from the insurance company yesterday that stated they needed dd's social...which we have given them TWICE in the last month. I'm taking both kids so hopefully it will go smoothly. The inlaws were suppose to come over but fil just got out of the hospital for pancreatitis last night. They were doing a procedure on the pancreatic cyst they found during his cancer ordeal and it irritated his pancreas.
I'm not sure about the rest of the day. I want to run some errands but a potentially grumpy baby means I might just chill at home. We shall see.
Awesome weeklyplanner! I need to get more serious about it now that dd is a month old. I've been better with the healthy-ish food and portions but need to figure out the exercise. I did walk twice this week but the weather is suppose to suck again next week.
Way to go weeklyplanner! I've been dragging my feet on officially starting WW but you motivated me to pull the trigger and sign up. I lost a little over a pound in my first week of trying to snack smarter so I've got a little momentum.
Oh good! I can't have dairy because DD is allergic, but I see so many recipes on the app that have dairy and look delicious. So, I think you'll like it! DH decided to do it too because he's having a hard time finding the time to workout. He's losing too!

I'm finding it almost impossible to exercise with 2 kids. It sucks.

Yes! And after they go to bed I have zero motivation to do anything. I'd love to do some YouTube yoga but always decide to crawl into bed at 8 and read instead.
I had a huge falling out with a friend. I'm really upset about it. She had cancer last year and has changed since then. She's been forgetful and rude, I've tried to ignore it because she had cancer, but she blew up at me for saying I wasn't sure if I could visit her because I didn't know if my H needed the car or not. She said I was unreliable and then said horrible things about my H, that are unforgivable.
There's finally some sun today, I'm taking DD to play at the park later.
Congrats on the weight loss weeklyplanner. Well done! Sorry for the crappy sleep still though.
I hope baby isn't too grumpy after shots lakegirl. Good luck.
This week has been kind of productive but I've been procrastinating about packing for our trip vs actually packing. Most of it now needs to be done at the weekend which won't be easy with DS1 around too.
H's nightime sleep is very inconsistent. This week we had two nights with 8-9 hours for stretch #1, a 6hr then back down until "morning", a 6 hr with second wake up and then last night awake every 3 hrs. I'm trying to just go with the flow and go to bed early just in case...
Love tit for the carbs biscotto. Sorry about the falling out. Maintaining friendships as an adult is so hard because everyone always has a million things going on and people change.
weeklyplanner F hasn't been sleeping long stretches either. 3 hours was the longest last night. She has gone 6 hours but that's very rare. That's awesome you've lost 5lbs!! I just started weight watchers Monday. It's definitely been keeping me accountable and stopping me from mindlessly snacking.

Lol about carbs. I spent 6 weeks in Italy when I was in college and I actually lost weight! I ate all the carbs but lifestyle is so different from the us. I walked and biked everywhere, oh and sweated all summer with no freaking ac lol. Sorry about your friend that sucks

We've had the same inconsistent sleep too It's like you get on one schedule then they completely change it up.
Would you guys be interested in a weekly weight loss/healthy living check in? Maybe it would keep me a little more accountable. weeklyplannerlakegirl @orangcrush
Yes! I miss our pre-baby fitness check in. I was also thinking about a weekly meal planning thread? I always stalk them on parenting for ideas.

We basically see 12, 2:30 and 5 every night too. B is down for bed by 7-7:30, so I suppose it's lucky that he has a consistent bedtime around when DD goes down too, but 80% of the time we're at a 4-4.5 hr first stretch followed by 2-3hrs after that. We've gotten a handful of 5 hr stretches and 1 glorious 6 hr once, but that's about it. I keep telling myself he'll get there.

This is exactly us. I do enjoy the "me" time when both kids are in bed at 7:30pm. Then, DH usually does a dreamfeed/wakes her for a bottle at 10. Then I get to sleep from 10-2ish. But, last night we tried the bottle at 7:30. That initial stretch until midnight is good for the baby, but it's not like I go to bed at 7:30, ha! I told DH he's back on bottle duty so I can sleep since I'm nursing all night.
weeklyplanner, have you tried all the happiest baby tricks? I had mentioned earlier in the week that adding white noise gave us a really good night, we're now on night 3 or 4 of great sleep with 1 wakeup using a tight swaddle and rumbly white noise through a good speaker (not a white noise machine) *knocks on wood* Awesome job on the 5 lbs! Also, amazing that YH is doing it with you. That makes it so much easier not to deviate.
biscotto, I'm so sorry to hear about your falling out with your friend. That sucks, but understandable if she said shitty things
lakegirl, I can't believe you're still dealing with insurance bs. I hope your FIL feels better.
I'm hoping to go back to crossfit next week after my 6 week check. I need to work out the schedule, but I paid for a year of unlimited classes so I have no excuse. they'll start the year when I go back. One of my friends has offered to workout during one class then stay and hold the baby while I take the next group, so that was super nice.
We are bringing C to ILs tomorrow to meet the whole family. I want to make sure we get a picture with C, Hs gma, mom & dad and me and him so we have a 4 generation picture to frame
Evidently dd is cursed when it comes to insurance. The check in nurse took her card to scan but we were called back quickly and she forgot to give me the card back when we left. I had to go back and get it when I noticed an hour later while running errands.
Dd did great and barely cried. Ds on the other hand...he freaked out as soon as we walked into the exam room. I'm now dreading his two year appointment in May.

Same I spent 8 weeks in Italy ate mostly carbs and tons of wine but between the sweating and all the walking I didn't gain any weight.

E slept well last night. It was great. It's snowing and now my friend isn't coming over. I facetimed with my sister this morning and my two year old niece was singing to E and trying to give her her pacifiers. It was so cute. H is working from home because of the snow. So far no difference from the domperidone yet.

I just thought of something else, have you tried brewers yeast? There's an oatmeal recipe in a lactation fb group I'm in that is 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1/2 cup almond milk, 1/8 tsp brewers yeast (I use more), and maple syrup to taste. I also add flax meal. That and Motherlove More Milk Plus tincture seems to have really helped for me.

I'm pretty sure that I've gained weight. Not happy with myself.
My bf went to the doctor this morning and he has to keep his finger splinted for 8 more weeks. I'm worried that the injury will derail his health and gym routine

Nice! My daily diet consisted of margherita pizza, pesto pasta and gelato, it was the best summer of my life. Where did you live in Italy? I stayed in Lucca, beautiful city in Tuscany. We would spend some weekends in Cinque Terre--that place is heaven, makes me nostalgic.

I wonder how long it takes for it to start working, you only got it yesterday right? I second the brewers yeast that pibble mentioned. Every morning I make oatmeal and add brewers yeast and ground flaxseed.

Cinque Terre is amazing. I stayed in Asolo, small town about an hour and a half outside of Venice. It was an amazing summer, probably the best. I think I had gelato at least two times every day while I was there.
