DS1 was up 12-3am. I have an all day inspection starting at 9am. I'm going to need a lot more than 200mg of caffeine today
No shame...I straight up asked my midwife if I could have more now that I'm further along and she said as long as I stay hydrated and have lots of water too, it was fine.

I have my morning cup of coffee, which is probably close to 200mg caffeine all by itself, and I recently added in an afternoon Coke or Coke Zero most weekdays because I crave the sugar and caffeine (I rarely drink soda otherwise). I figure at almost 32w, baby boy can handle it.
Mmmmm food. I usually go to Starbucks on my way to work on Fridays, but today I stopped at Wegmans instead so I could grab a sandwich. Then I got breakfast sandwich and an Irish cream latte. It was a good choice.
Ugh, I am so irritated with the accountant for H's office. He has "no record or recollection" of advising them on something that he is now saying is being done wrong. I should have found a new accountant last year when he didn't get their taxes done until 3 days before it was due. I guess at least we are having this discussion in March instead of April...
I need to get up and get ready for clinicals. My calf is really sore because I started getting a Charlie horse in the middle of the night.
Do not miss getting those! They hurt so bad I'd get tears. And I started to get them in my toes...really often for a bit. Turned out I needed to get on iron pills.
akraus2015, noooo. I probably would have actually cried. Food is very important these days.
I'm so happy it's Friday. Our swing and stroller came in today, and our Amazon completion discount just became available And a big box of clothes from my shower should be arriving at some point. I am going to spend the weekend going through them and organizing.
I spent most of the night in hip/back pain, until I got my rice heating "pad" and put it against my back. Sigh.

I need to learn how to be a better Snapchat-er. I'm doing a Snapchat takeover this month for Way Up, which is like a job recruitment service for college grads. So I'll do basically "A Day in the Life" for what it's like to work at my organization.

Being tired must be a common theme today. I don't drink coffee usually but I'm craving it. I am dragging. I might get some on the way to my OB appointment today. Also, I got DD a little late to preschool today and got to enjoy going through a crowded elementary school drop off. It was terrible. I'm glad that when she starts Kindergarten this year we literally live across the street and we can just walk her over.
mustloveerica, I can't wait to see an update about those girls! akraus2015,I'm sorry for the hard morning!

Any tips??
Snapchat confuses me...it's the first tech thing that I really can't figure out and makes me feel super old bc I feel like I just don't "get it" ha!

I don't have any tips, but I just wanted to comment on how crazy it is that kids use snapchat for everything now. Like they snap each other instead of texting. It's so odd.

Are you going for serious or funny?
I'm not sure, really. It's to recruit teachers to come work for my organization, which is a network of schools across the country. So it will be me for half of the stories, and one of our girls in Wisconsin for the other half.
I'm thinking I'll do a mixture of like interviews of current teachers, and then maybe throw some cute kiddos in there?

I use it every now and then for personal use, but I'm no expert, for sure. I feel like the stuff I "snap" is dumb.

Ahhhhh I just found out that I got on this state appeals panel I applied for, it's super flexible work but in my direct area of specialty and I can do 90% from home. I have to pass a training and do some provisional appeals before I'm officially on (I do get paid for the provisional appeals) but if I get on I can take or leave as much work as I want. I think it will be perfect for when babies come!! I might be able to significantly limit need for daycare, without having to leave the workforce all together! I may now have to celebrate by eating something yummy for lunch.

Make it look fun, then. Show some of those "darndest kids" moments. Show the piles of paperwork. Use emojis.
I think the key to enticing a Snapchat audience is to not make something sound boring and monotone. Even with the boring, monotone things. Poke fun. Make them laugh. That's what will make them look.

I like the emojis idea. I should follow some businesses over the next few weeks and get ideas.
