You definitely can. We're planning on taking a much more relaxing trip in October, staying club level at a nice resort and doing half days at the parks with a lot more down time. Let me know when you get to the planning stage. MH is an impatient NYer so I have mastered the fastpass system so we still have a relaxing trip while managing to hit up all the must do's.
You're brave for planning such a big trip with a 2 month old.
Nah. Thats when they're easy. I wish I would have taken advantage of travel more when C was tiny. Just pack them and go! I've got boobs, will travel.
I figure if I'm going to be not getting sleep, I'd rather do it somewhere warm and fun than home. I have a few tentative trips I'm plotting in the fall/winter.
Sunny41 I have done a lot of this trip without MH. He's been working. It's still fantastic without him.
I will bring you all to the Disney dark side.
Oh, I would rather do it without him but there is some history in him wanting to take his kid to Disney based on his parent's divorce during childhood.
trtlcrzy I am pissed that he went back but this is the 'last time'.... it has to be though if I get this job because the shifts are too long for daycare. So this is really it!

I wish we could afford Disney. I have actually only gone to once to Disneyland when I was 3. I don't remember the trip at all. Hopefully we can get our basement finished and some bills paid off in the next couple years and then we should be able to go. Luckily SIL lives in the area so we wouldn't have to pay for a hotel (although I think that's half the fun).
Now I'm panicking because the Disney website is telling me the Beach Club has no club level rooms when I want to go. That's where we stay. I always say we will try something new, but we are creatures of habit.

Best of luck
Lol, we will figure it out. For us, travel is a non-negotiable. So the sooner we can get them used to it, the better. We have had C act a baby/toddler/threenager on vacation but the good always outweighs the bad, so we keep coming back for more.
I LOVE Disney World, and I know this is a first world problem, but mh can only do vacations during the summer or on spring and winter breaks and Disney is usually so crowded then. He can take a long weekend (just four days) using personal leave, so we may have to squeeze it in that way for next year.
Growing up, we went MLK weekend--(typically that Monday). The weather is great that time of year (and little chance of rain...FL has dry winters) and you avoid the Christmas holiday and spring break crowds. Just a thought...might be easy for him to tack on an extra day if he gets MLK day off.
I think we'll probably try and go down for a day this spring, esp. if the house sells/closes quickly and we move in with my parents--we'll be planning lots of outings to give them a break. I'm hoping we can go on a weekday.
@lizb, as per contract he can't tack on to an established day off, unless sickness (or emergency)strikes. We're leaning toward a 4 weekend in November or March.

Disney is the best with your kiddo. We went on M's first birthday and two more times before we moved out of state. People thought I was crazy for taking a 1 yo, but it was the best! I have the best video of him when he met Mickey for the first time and it truly was magical. He was in awe. I'm so glad we did that. I've been itching to go back since our trip was canceled in Dec. We tag along with Mh to a work conference in Orlando this May And I really want to at least take M to Magic Kingdom, but I will be VERY pregnant and it should be pretty hot, so I'm not sure. I probably will just wait until the week of to see what the weather will be and hope Mother Nature gives us one day of overcast, cooler weather. I know... crazy, party of 1 right here🙃.
We are actually considering a move to the Orlando area soooo Disney passes!!!
Sorry I've been MIA all. My husband came home for a bit and now he's back in Israel. I have a job interview on Tuesday. Other than that.... boring life.
I just got home about half hour ago. S didn't tolerate this drive as well as she did the other day. Poor girl cried after we got back on the road until she fell asleep and then slept the rest of the way home.
Still catching up, I'm sorry about baby O trtlcrzy. How is he doing today? Thoughts and prayers to everyone, poor guy
Last update I got was that he went back to the OR late yesterday to get his chest cavity cleaned out. They were thinking of fixing his heart defect but decided to wait on it to give him more time to heal/rest. My sister hasn't been the best at updating, so I'm not sure what all has happened today.
