I'm not even really judging the Bf because for all I know she's pumping. I doubt it sincerely. But not my place to judge. But wtf with complaining every single day about being away and then voluntarily signing up for another 5 days away. Same girl that pumped and got her H to take a night feed every single night she was on maternity and he was working. Master manipulator. And her H is a weenie.
Wow it never even occurred to me to pump and have H do a night feeding. Like I might as well just get up, I consider it my responsibility while on mat leave. And yeah that's random that she would bitch about the work trip then go on a voluntary vacation. Maybe she got a taste of the freedom from the work trip and was like see ya lol.

Re: toddler bedding, we don't have any. N just has a sheet and a fleece peppa pig blanket that mil gave her. Should she have bedding?!?! I guess I figured I would get her something nice once we move from toddler bed to a 'real' bed.

FFFC i totally made DH take a night feeding during my mat leave. I need sleep and am a complete bitch without it, so it was better for both of us. Lol
ETA I had a huge freezer stash from over pumping and we also supplemented with formula. No shame. Lol so I didn't wake up to pump during that time.
Def no shame in that, I just never thought about doing it. Maybe I should! Esp when I have to go back to work. H works from home on fridays, basically rolls out of bed and goes to work in his pjs maybe I should have him do Thursday nights.

Same here, but he is in a full size bed. He doesn't really like sleeping with covers though, so he'll start with the fleece blanket and kick it off in the MOTN. Never changed theme from the nursery either. When he decides he wants a change we'll find a bedding set.
My work computer just blew up. I'm currently trying to quickly backup everything. I could get back online, but I'm kinda nervous so I'm just waiting and playing on my iPad. 😊

And a funny for the day. The house diagonal from us finally sold. The new people are moving in. They have this giant bay window in the front and have displayed a full sized carousel horse. Like an intricately painted, gigantic effing horse with a pole through the middle. Full size. Not mini. WTAF. I keep trying to do a slow drive by and get a picture, but there is someone in the garage today organizing stuff. I just...don't understand. Where does one even get one of those?! It's an older couple and their adult son living there (read 50yr old man living with mom and dad...). If I see someone riding that damn thing, I'm done.
bazingaa that's hilarious. You should go over and say hi with the kids and ask if they can ride it lol.
Yeah...no lol. Maybe this is a FFFC, but I want to see if this adult kid is sketchy. Like, on the sex registry sketchy. I'm really judging the fact that he is living with his parents. I'm hoping (God, I'm an awful person) that his parents are either unable to live on their own and he's helping or that he is unable to live on his own and him being there is a necessity. I just find it strange. 😐

I never had enough extra milk for a whole feeding every single night. And if i did have extra I was hoarding it for when I go back to work, like I am right now! No shame in making H share feedings but I'm pretty sure the baby only woke up one time- so she was doing 0 night feedings and chilling on maternity leave.

Oh yeah once she was only waking once, I was usually the one to go in.
bazingaa DHs uncle lives with his dad (the one turning 90). So it's like a 60 something year old living with his 90 year old dad. He just has never had a real job. It's crazy.

We don't have any either. I tried to give M the comforter from his crib set, but he got mad and insisted that it goes on the side of his bed. He has a few baby blankets and fleece throws he rotates through.
I NEED these children to take a long nap today. Yesterday they both woke up after the car transfer and the day was entirely too long. FX they stay asleep until 4 (which is as late as I'm allowed to let W sleep).
Posting and running today. Just found out that tomorrow is the St. Pat's day parade and the day they dye the river green. We're at a hotel right on the river. It's going to be a madhouse. I'm torn bc I've always wanted to be I Chicago for this and have never been able to. But it's going to be so cold. And I'm pregnant. And I'd have to miss part of the conference that I was really looking forward to.... guys, I think I'm old.
The OB was running behind so I'm just now getting home to put DD down for a nap (I'm WFH today and not a ton going on, so kept her home today). FX it doesn't backfire tonight w a late nap
In baby news- everything is on track. Baby A is 2.5 lbs and B is 3 lbs, which is good and along their curves. I guess A is just gonna be little compared to B!

Just got home from babes preschool eval assessments. He's being giving an IFSP for speech. I was really positive he didn't meet the states criteria because he passed all parts of all the evals with great scores, but based on his poor articulation and pronunciation, he meets the states criteria for three years of additional help (but will be evaluated yearly to set new goals based on his achievements).
We actually have a few options available to us, but will be sticking with him going to Kings Preschool. On one hand, I'm happy with this result because it's a huge help to us financially not having to pay for preschool - plus, I'm clearly aware of the areas he still needs help with, and he'll be lucky enough to be getting that help. On the other hand, it sucks because he's still not where he should be at his age. But he loves the preschool and is excited and happy every time we're there, and I know he's going to enjoy it so much.
Operation Ditch the Paci started last night. So far so good. Hopefully dc goes well today.
We ditched the paci last weekend. She was sad and crying at nap and bedtime for 2 days then she was fine. We did the build a bear thing too, I think it might have helped, thankfully she picked the bear that was only $20.
Next up potty training. Who's up for the task? Any takers?
We also started pt'ing last week. She's been doing pretty good in general. I think dc has really helped too. But today I picked her up at dc and she had two accidents But I'm wondering if it's because they've had different teachers in her room this week. I need to blame it on something lol.

Re: PTing... DD is showing a huge interest in her little potty. Like she wants to run around naked all day and randomly sit on it. She pulls her pants down, takes the diaper off, then sits. But the diaper is always warm, so I know she literally just pee'd before taking the diaper off. I think she's almost there, but needs to get the order right (diaper off, sit, then pee instead of doing it backwards). I'm thinking of just taking a weekend and getting some training pants and seeing what happens. If it doesn't work, we'll try again later.
