I'm 27 weeks tomorrow and things are going smoothly. I really can't complain too much (maybe because I'm having a good week and am finally getting better sleep). My c-section was scheduled for the end of May, but they're going to move it up since it's scheduled for my 39th week. They want to do it during my 38th week.
Q: I require a lot of alone time. That's one of the reasons why I stay up so late. After DD goes to bed, I need at least an hour to myself before going to bed.
ETA: I'm also an introvert. I need to be alone to refuel my energy. I think extroverts get their energy from being around others.
I'm terrible at checking in. I'm 18 weeks today! This pregnancy seems to be going by both really fast and pretty slowly. I have my anatomy scan scheduled for the 23rd and I'm looking forward to seeing the baby for the first time since 8 weeks. I feel like it's been forever and he wasn't even a human looking thing back then.
I'm starting to get nervous about dealing with a toddler and a newborn while trying to recover from birth. Last time I had a rough delivery that required a lot of stitching up of the lady bits. I was really uncomfortable for close to a month, so I'm dreading that. I have to ask my OB about the likely hood of needing another episiotomy. Ugh.
QOTW: I need quite a bit of alone time. thankfully I don't have to actually be alone to kind of zone out, as long as no one is demanding my attention all the time I'm good.

nutmeg8484 lurking... i was worried about that too with a very active 21 month old. I'm not sure if it's bc my labor this time was faster with a lot less pushing or if some of the nerve endings down there were dead from last time 😂 but recovery this time has been MUCH easier! I was sore for a long time the first time around and this time felt fine to take DS (without the baby) down the street to the playground 4 days after giving birth. The cramping from nursing the 2nd time around is more intense but healing down there hasn't been bad at all.

I'm 29 weeks 4 days today. Today I did my 3 hour glucose test. I'll get the results Monday at my 30 week appointment. They moved my c-section again to the 17th of May, the date after the boys birthday. I'm feeling good. I have a number patch of skin near my belly button.
I need me time, but I don't get much if any of it. I think that's part of why my patience is running thin lately. I am also an introvert and feel more energized after having alone time.
