Yesterday we went out for lunch with DH's best friend who works in the city. After that, I went back to the conference and H took Bub to the children's museum on Navy Pier. From there, we both just took cabs to our dinner reservations. H found a kid-friendly place that is owned by a previous Top Chef winner. So that was exciting for me. Got a cab back around 7:00 and the poor kid couldn't keep his eyes open. Big day for a 2 year old. ETA And he's still sleeping now and it's after 7:00 (central time!) This is unheard of for us.
Today Bub and H are going to watch them turn the river green, because we're in like the perfect spot to see it. Then maybe the parade. Then after I'm done for the day were going out to the suburbs to visit H's friend. He has 2 girls and the youngest is Bub's age. We haven't had the kids together since they were babies, so that will be fun.

Did anyone else not realize daylight savings in tonight? May the sleep gods have mercy on us all this week.
My day started at 5 with a toddler tantrum. Things continued to go down hill until the crash landing called nap. I'm hoping things are better when he wakes up. In the mean time, my dog is working on a blanket cocoon.

@dogmomma22 they're about the same size and have the same body and snout structure. So you know what breed T is? We know that he's a Beagle mix, we think with boxer.
Oh no to the sick kiddos babylove518 and mrscatfarmer13 N spent the night over at grandmas I actually forgot about dst. And the baby slept for almost 7 hrs got up to eat and went back down for almost 3 hrs! It was heaven bc I was actually able to sleep during the second stretch bc there was no toddler to wake us up this morning, thanks mil!
I completely forgot about it. Woke up at 10:30, the old 9:30, which is totally fine, except that now we're missing church, because 15 min. isn't enough time for everyone to get ready and be out the door. I always get irrationally upset about missing services, even though I can watch live online.
As for us, I don't think I'll feel the time change until this week when I can't manage to get the kids to the sitters and back home to work before like 9:30. This is my week of constantly running late 😐

Yep - his paperwork said beagle boxer!
That's good to know. Everyone always comments that he looks like a pit, and we look at them like they're crazy cakes because he doesn't.
bazingaa pink eye in both eyes. The icing on the cake is that everyone is out of the drops for it.
I don't mind springing forward in the morning, but I have a feeling bedtime is going to be a shit show.
This. The baby is going to be up way later tonight than usual. And now N took her nap later so we might have to wake her up early to try and get back on track. Oh well.
Someone should have told me sooner that the free kids play area at liberty center is so cool! We went over to let the boys blow off some steam and then grabbed lunch. It was really nice.

I've wondered about that! I've been wanting to check it out when we are there.
