We're laying low. It's frigid out. DD1 spiked a fever yesterday and it's still hanging on. Working on DD2s sleep, swaddle, binky situation. It's just gonna be a crappy weekend, but atleast I'm aware going into it?

Had a date night with DS1 last night. The local parks and rec program showed The Secret Life of Pets at the community center. Free popcorn and movie (donations obviously accepted) is the perfect entertainment for a preschooler. I loved watching him watch the movie and laugh when the pets did something goofy.
No plans for today. Probably go for a run. If it weren't 20 degrees, I'd push one of the kids in a stroller for a change. I also need to pick up my mother's ring so maybe I'll do a little shopping this afternoon.

Getting ready to head out to take DH to the dentist and while he's there, DS and I will walk around the local mall.
One of our friends from college is having a birthday party later today. Not completely sure how long we'll go - they are still in the college mindset of "let's hang out all day long." We're in our 30s, just feels like awkward now to go play games, go out for dinner, and come back for movies all night.
Its cold as balls here (currently -15) with a windchill. Got groceries and now home to have lunch and naps all around. I have to do diaper laundry later. And DDs 5 month picture but she's currently epically napping so I'm just hanging out waiting for her to wake up.

One of my prouder parenting moments... Convinced DS1 to eat brussel sprouts by telling him they were like broccoli balls. And I let him dip them in ketchup.

htle07, hikingmama222, I want a CriCut so badly! Mostly for scrapbooking purposes, but I had no idea you could use it to adhere things to like mugs. What else can you do?!
MH and I finally got out to go car shopping, and we picked one out! 2017 Chevy Traverse LT in Navy.... I am in love. They need to check out MH's Camry to settle on the trade in value, so I guess it's not 100% a done deal yet, but we are close.
hikingmama222 such a cute mug! @snuff9861 it's cold here too, just not THAT cold! @kitchen jealous of your nice weather. I can't wait for spring to get here.

I plan on making t-shirts, cards, and home decor stuff. You can make so many things!
sanibel21, We were going to start last night, but Wednesday night DS decided to start STTN on his own. If he reverts back to his old ways, we will definitely be sleep training.
DD1's birthday party went well today. DS just went to bed and we're finally relaxing and watching Moana.

sanibel21 - He has a 4oz bottle around 3pm, then he has a Step 2 container of Gerber food at dinner time and then 4 oz of formula about 30-40 minutes before bed, which has been right around 7pm. We have found that if we give him a bottle right before bed, or too much, he doesn't sleep as well.

Just got back from Indian food with our friends with DS in tow. He loved tasting all the Indian dishes, even the ones too for me. Loved the chutneys. Guess we have a little spice lover on our hands.
Now home and sleep training. No paci, no night feeds. Going to bed now myself to hopefully be a little more rested later.
I was going to sleep train, but DD *usually* is only up once a night to eat. I don't mind the one wake up, so until it changes I am just going to roll with it. Now, sleep training naps? That's a different story. I've been trying to tackle them for a week now, and we are making slow progress I think. If only I could get daycare to be a little better with them.

Soooo cute htle07!!! Do you use Tapatalk? Lots of us have has issues with the private board via mobile.
We seem to have survived DST changes here. DS just woke up, it now being 7 instead of 6. Not sure if it was the sleep training from Friday night, but the only wakeup was 1:30 for one feeding. Hopefully he repeats tonight.
DS is kind of miserable this morning. He slept good last night, but he's got a cold is very boogery and it makes him cough, so I'm not sure if he just doesn't feel great. He's acting tired already, but won't take a nap. He's in his room yelling right now. I suppose I should go get him.
We watched Moana last night and it was really good. Frozen is still my favorite, though.
Well sleep training sucked just as much as expected, but she slept 2-6 straight and woke up as happy as normal. Putting that behind us and resting/recovering today. It's freezing outside anyways. DD1 slept fine despite falling asleep during dinner and her fever. I've never seen her so subdued. Hoping she wakes up much imoroved.
DS2 is still congested (as am I). I wonder why, but I'm more frustrated for him than me. Also I want us both to sleep better.
I set up a play date for DS1 today, though he does t know it yet. I need to get groceries, but am scared of chaos because they are predicting snow for us Monday night.

htle07, reinstalling didn't work for me, but I was able to see topics again after about two weeks. I have a current issue where I put in the password, nothing goes, I go back and do it again, and this time the topics load. Maybe try that?
sanibel21, yay for a four hour stretch, but I am so sorry that it didn't go well last night. How long does DD2 typically cry for? FX'd DD1's feels better soon.
iwantbacon, my weather app says snow for our area for M-W. D: I'm done with winter. Spring pls.
macaronmama the longest stretch of real crying was her first wake up at 11 and it was 23 minutes. We did the progressive checks or whatever you wanna call it. All the rest was just on and off, but frequent, waking and crying/whining where we really only needed to go in once if at all. She goes down pretty well, sometimes without any crying. So overall I think it went better than some but still sucked. How about your DS?
We have swim lessons with DS1 this morning. H usually swims with him, but he's been a punk with H the past two lessons, so to switch it up, I'm going to swim today. Ugh. Then we're going to BIL/SIL to keg beer.
I've gotten outta the last two sessions of lessons with DS1 because I was pregnant for the first session and taking care of a newborn the second. At least he's to a point now that we don't have to get in the water with him. Hopefully just one more session in the water with DD and she'll graduate a level too.
